Have driven by this place many times and it has always had a good crowd of cars in the parking lot. Decided to stop in today to give it a try and it was really good. It has an old cabin style feel inside. There are plenty for staff to help and make sure things move along at a good pace. The food came out fast and the service was good. We had the hungry man breakfast with pancakes and the club sandwich but started with the cowboy bean soup with bacon. The portions were large and everything had good taste. If you are really hungry for breakfast, The Place is for you! Not only are the portions large but the biscuits themselves are a stand a lone feast! They don't skimp on giving you the gravy to dip in or pour over. The optionality of the menu is really broad and the servers aren't hesitant or huffy about making swaps or giving you the different combos of sides. If you are intimidated by the big plates and want to split, they do charge a small split plate fee. My friends ordered the mimosa flight and it was generous as well. The glasses had more than just "a tasting" which is often what you get at the brunch spots. These had some very decent volume and a good variety of flavors. If you are a party of one or two, give the "worst table" a try for a discount on your check. Why is it the worst? It's right next to the hallway to the bathroom and directly in front of the fire exit. It's their fun way of recognizing they can't all be the best table in the house. On the weekends especially, the wait can be pretty significant and if you're a small group, why not get in while everyone else is scorching in the heat waiting to be sat? We've been coming here for years. If you want quality food with hefty serving sizes this the best spot. I've never been disappointed. It usually looks like there is huge line with people waiting out front but we've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table. Also on Yelp app you can join the waitlist. After checking out the menu I knew I wanted to try the griddle breakfast, it comes with 2 eggs, a choice of meat and either a pancake, French toast or waffle. With sunny side up eggs which were fine. For my side I also asked for diced potatoes and biscuit and gravy. Breakfast burrito - seems like this was the only one that was good. It was my moms and she said it was decent. Not the best but also not the worst. We got dice potatoes for all of our dishes and it wasn't the best either nor the worst. Most of the food was definitely on the saltier side. I want to say that maybe it was busy and that's why but just because a place is busy doesn't mean that their food quality control shouldn't be there. The chicken fried steak was smothered in a generous helping of gravy, yet it miraculously maintained a delightfully crispy crust which protected the moist and tender steak underneath. The hash browns were perfectly crispy and served as a delicious carrying mechanism for the gravy and gooey egg yolks. The biscuit and gravy is simply amazing. Their biscuits are huge, fluffy and somehow still nicely dense and moist. Coupled with the delicious gravy it could easily be a hearty meal all on its own. The servers were nice and attentive, though they did get noticeably spread thin when the peak breakfast hours rolled around.
