Been passing by this place quite often and told the bf that we should try it soon since it's so close to the house and on Yelp it has so many great reviews. We love to go get breakfast/brunch on family day and try new places. Today is Mother's Day and we knew it'd be crazy everywhere so decided to order take out from here to avoid the craziness. Our order Classic eggs Benedict -The eggs were even poach properly it was more over medium and solid. Super crucial to a good eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was thick and slightly broken because it was smooth and silky as it should be. Steak and eggs - I asked for medium rare and it was medium well/well done. With sunny side up eggs which were fine. For my side I also asked for diced potatoes and biscuit and gravy. Breakfast burrito - seems like this was the only one that was good. It was my moms and she said it was decent. Not the best but also not the worst. We got dice potatoes for all of our dishes and it wasn't the best either nor the worst. Most of the food was definitely on the saltier side. I want to say that maybe it was busy and that's why but just because a place is busy doesn't mean that their food quality control shouldn't be there. It's a nice sized place, but more like an old cafe/diner in the middle of nowhere or a small town (where everybody, knows everybody) kind of place. New to us. We visited based on others recommendations. The Place was hopping! Definitely a local favorite. The staff all seemed happy, productive and supportive of each other. We had quick service and delicious food. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was the best I've had in a long time. The corned beef was sliced thin and perfect. The Place is a decent breakfast diner with classic breakfast food and a familiar diner type vibe. I ordered the chicken fried steak which came with a choice of eggs, hash browns and a biscuit and gravy. The gravy is probably the thing I love most about this place. Perfect viscosity and seasoning. I would drink the stuff if I wasn't so afraid it would stop my heart. The chicken fried steak was smothered in a generous helping of gravy, yet it miraculously maintained a delightfully crispy crust which protected the moist and tender steak underneath. The hash browns were perfectly crispy and served as a delicious carrying mechanism for the gravy and gooey egg yolks. The biscuit and gravy is simply amazing. Their biscuits are huge, fluffy and somehow still nicely dense and moist. Coupled with the delicious gravy it could easily be a hearty meal all on its own. The servers were nice and attentive, though they did get noticeably spread thin when the peak breakfast hours rolled around. Went with a group of 7 for brunch. I ordered the Veggie skillet minus the onions and subbed cheddar cheese instead of feta cheese. My only peeve was I ordered pancakes that came about halfway through everyone's eating. I like when everything in your order comes at once. Great place for a classic breakfast! My husband is from the west side and said he's tried to go to the place multiple times with no luck due to how busy it is. But my family got on a waitlist and got a table pretty quickly for a big group! My husband got a tropical mimosa and loved it. I got an iced mocha to start. They have a good variety of things to choose from on their menu. And we loved the cabin-like aesthetic! I can't have eggs so I got the veggie skillet without eggs and pancakes as my side. They brought out regular and blueberry syrup for the pancakes, both delicious. My husband got the breakfast plate with eggs, hash browns, and bacon. He was very excited they let him upgrade to have French toast as his side. Everyone we went with loved their food too. Wasn't too crazy long of a wait despite how busy it was on a Sunday morning. There was a wait, and if there's a wait, that's usually a great sign. The staff was very efficient and speedy, but not personable, as if they were crumbling over the pressure. I can understand the stress it may bring, but they should be able to appease a tad bit more professional during it. The restaurant is dark and appears as if it was a diner from the 80s, so if that's your style - here you go. Why hello! You are fantastic! My friends took me here for breakfast and at first I was skeptical because it's exterior and interior reminded me of restaurants from the early 1990's. It reminded me of a Denny's or a Perkins in appearance. We had a bit of a wait but it wasn't anything extreme and after about fifteen minutes we were seated in a booth. I ordered the special - eggs Benedict carnitas but minus the eggs. Instead of an English muffin they used corn bread and they had it loaded with the most tender, most delicious pork I have ever had. It was glorious. Flavorful, shredded, and amazing. The combination of the sweeter bread with the salty meat was amazing. Then combined with the potatoes and the whole meal was one of the best I had during my work trip. I loved it so much. I ordered a mimosa flight as well and I was so glad I did. It came out in a cute little container. The flavors were unique and each was incredible. These were not small pours so well worth the money! While I thought I'd love the watermelon the most the mango was easily the beat! It paired excellently with the champagne. Our waitress was punctual and professional. She had a lot of tables to take care of but she always made a point to stop by and she made great recommendations on mimosa flavors. I was extremely pleased with my visit here. read more

A few members of the car club met at The Place for a morning Labor Day get together. This is a very busy place that seems to be popular with the breakfast crowd. We were seated at a large round table which was fine for conversation, and the place had enough room that it was possible to talk to one another easily. The server was prompt to take our coffee orders and once everyone had arrived, orders were quickly taken. A variety of items were ordered, Eggs Benidict, French Toast (several types) Bagel, Muffins and fruit. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The portions were large and the coffee kept coming. Everyone was very please with what they had ordered. There was very little left on any of the plates. Most of the breakfast plates were in the $13-15 range, sides of Bagels, fruit and muffins were from $4-7. All in all we were all happy with the setting and the food. I am not a big breakfast eater so you would do well to read other reviews for a more complete discription of food. But, it was enjoyable and I can recommend The Place as a nice place to chat and dine. read more

We stopped in on a busy Sunday with a a group of 6. It took a while to get a table but that was expected. The staff did a great job keeping us informed while waiting. Once we were seated it wasn't to long before we ordered and were served our drinks. Our table was in the middle of the restaurant by the server station. It was pretty crowded with servers and bussers squeezing between us and the station to the point the person sitting there had to keep ducking. I know it was busy but that was a bit much. Our service was very good especially considering how packed the place was. It did take a while to get our food. Again, understandable with the amount of people. When our food did arrive some items were cold. The food was just ok. I also heard someone behind me said their eggs were cooked wrong as well. Again, maybe we just hit on an off day. read more
