Good Evening All, Today my husband and I had breakfast at "The Place" restaurant in Glendale (https://theplacearizona.com/). We would definitely go back as our food was delicious. Fast friendly service from our waitress Hannah. I would have enjoyed a coffee refill! This place was really hopping busy, with that said we still had excellent service all the way around. Very impressive watching the staff members buzzing around! Greg ordered a cup of coffee, and I ordered my faithful Bloody Mary! "Spicy Pinnacle Habanero Vodka, w/bacon" Wasn't my favorite, as I'm more partial to horseradish spicy (Demitri's Bloody Mary Seasoning Classic) Greg's breakfast was from the Favorites menu: Breakfast favorites are served with choice of hash browns, diced potatoes or refried beans COUNTRY BENEDICT* 10.49 Open face biscuit, 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs and country gravy, w/hashbrowns. Greg absolutely loved his breakfast, so he gave his a 5 star rating! My breakfast was from the Classic menu: Breakfast classics served with 2 eggs, hash browns, diced potatoes or refried beans and choice of toast, pancakes, tortilla, muffin or biscuit & gravy. CHICKEN FRIED STEAK 8oz 15.49 |5oz 12.49. I had the 8oz. Got to have leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast! Smothered with country gravy. Mine was pretty good. The steak had an old oil taste which was a little off putting, though it was pretty good. The oily taste could have been due to a frozen patty along with the oil. All in all still pretty tasty with the gravy! I'd give it a definite second chance! read more

My 2 complaints are my gravy for my biscuits and gravy was cold and my hash browns - the outer part was cooked perfectly but the inside seemed to be undercooked. The service was great and other than those two things everything else was great! read more

A few members of the car club met at The Place for a morning Labor Day get together. This is a very busy place that seems to be popular with the breakfast crowd. We were seated at a large round table which was fine for conversation, and the place had enough room that it was possible to talk to one another easily. The server was prompt to take our coffee orders and once everyone had arrived, orders were quickly taken. A variety of items were ordered, Eggs Benidict, French Toast (several types) Bagel, Muffins and fruit. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The portions were large and the coffee kept coming. Everyone was very please with what they had ordered. There was very little left on any of the plates. Most of the breakfast plates were in the $13-15 range, sides of Bagels, fruit and muffins were from $4-7. All in all we were all happy with the setting and the food. I am not a big breakfast eater so you would do well to read other reviews for a more complete discription of food. But, it was enjoyable and I can recommend The Place as a nice place to chat and dine. read more

There was a wait, and if there's a wait, that's usually a great sign. The staff was very efficient and speedy, but not personable, as if they were crumbling over the pressure. I can understand the stress it may bring, but they should be able to appease a tad bit more professional during it. The restaurant is dark and appears as if it was a diner from the 80s, so if that's your style - here you go. Food is the best; tastes fantastic, service is always great and the restaurant feels homey, warm, a family feel to it. It's extremely busy here, especially in the morning for breakfast. I highly recommend The Place for breakfast and lunch. They close early afternoon, dinner is not available. read more

Lovely breakfast! It was super crowded , but we snagged a couple bar stools and enjoyed the company of a couple of the most delightful bartenders! The food was delicious! I was not expecting that. We both ordered breakfast and the corned beef hash was primo! My bloody mary was made perfectly. We were a bit dismayed that Fox News was on the TV. We prefer news free dining. read more

Service was good, our waiter was a nice guy but others can confuse his attitude for being rude but I think he is just an older guy a little quiet does not really reply when you talk to him. Great place for a classic breakfast! My husband is from the west side and said he's tried to go to the place multiple times with no luck due to how busy it is. But my family got on a waitlist and got a table pretty quickly for a big group! My husband got a tropical mimosa and loved it. I got an iced mocha to start. They have a good variety of things to choose from on their menu. And we loved the cabin-like aesthetic! I can't have eggs so I got the veggie skillet without eggs and pancakes as my side. They brought out regular and blueberry syrup for the pancakes, both delicious. My husband got the breakfast plate with eggs, hash browns, and bacon. He was very excited they let him upgrade to have French toast as his side. Everyone we went with loved their food too. Wasn't too crazy long of a wait despite how busy it was on a Sunday morning. We stopped in on a busy Sunday with a a group of 6. It took a while to get a table but that was expected. The staff did a great job keeping us informed while waiting. Once we were seated it wasn't to long before we ordered and were served our drinks. Our table was in the middle of the restaurant by the server station. It was pretty crowded with servers and bussers squeezing between us and the station to the point the person sitting there had to keep ducking. I know it was busy but that was a bit much. Our service was very good especially considering how packed the place was. It did take a while to get our food. Again, understandable with the amount of people. When our food did arrive some items were cold. The food was just ok. I also heard someone behind me said their eggs were cooked wrong as well. Again, maybe we just hit on an off day. read more

Why hello! You are fantastic! My friends took me here for breakfast and at first I was skeptical because it's exterior and interior reminded me of restaurants from the early 1990's. It reminded me of a Denny's or a Perkins in appearance. We had a bit of a wait but it wasn't anything extreme and after about fifteen minutes we were seated in a booth. I ordered the special - eggs Benedict carnitas but minus the eggs. Instead of an English muffin they used corn bread and they had it loaded with the most tender, most delicious pork I have ever had. It was glorious. Flavorful, shredded, and amazing. The combination of the sweeter bread with the salty meat was amazing. Then combined with the potatoes and the whole meal was one of the best I had during my work trip. I loved it so much. I ordered a mimosa flight as well and I was so glad I did. It came out in a cute little container. The flavors were unique and each was incredible. These were not small pours so well worth the money! While I thought I'd love the watermelon the most the mango was easily the beat! It paired excellently with the champagne. Our waitress was punctual and professional. She had a lot of tables to take care of but she always made a point to stop by and she made great recommendations on mimosa flavors. I was extremely pleased with my visit here. read more

Watch it. I had breakfast there a few months ago. Since then I have found debits to my account on days when I did not go there. It's sneaky and in small amounts which makes me think it is happening to other people as well. If you go there pay cash. read more

My husband found this place online and we decided to go here based on the good reviews. He had the breakfast sandwich and I had the veggie skillet. I can't understand what the big deal is about this place. The potatoes and veggies in my skillet were obviously frozen as opposed to fresh, the scrambled eggs were way over done and the "fresh" salsa was fizzy and inedible. Is salsa supposed to be fizzy? My husband's breakfast sandwich was dry and he too mentioned it tasted like frozen food that had been reheated. The staff were very nice and this place was busy, but not sure why? Yum Yum and Yum! Altho the cinnamon Rolls aren't my favorite type (fluffy) they are still really good! Others who shared it with me loved it! Quiche... not a slice.... We are talking 1/4 of the dang pie! Holy Cow! I was in heaven! Amped up the kids meal because the kid was hangry! Added a Mickey pancake to the French Toast kids meal. It all evaporated. I have been to "The Place" now three times and will be going back again! The food is great, love that many items, such as soup, sauce, etc are home-made. I had the special quiche one time and it was fantastic! Service and staff VERY pleasant, everyone from the hostess, servers, people that deliver food. All extremely friendly and professional. Excellent food and service. Everything was cooked perfectly. The bacon was my favorite due to its flavor and thickness, I prefer mine thick cut. Eggs were perfectly as ordered, hash browns were awesome as well. My only complaint was the pancakes were heavy, not light and fluffy, and had an off taste. Perhaps a baking soda issue? Stopped in for breakfast after an early appointment in this part of town.. yelp app helped me locate a breakfast joint.. I sat at the bar and was greeted right away. Coffee arrived in front of me in seconds I had the French toast platter with ham steak and eggs over easy .. powder sugar was minimal and i appreciated that ..
