The main problem and downside is that they are very expensive and overcharge. Despite the Yelp page saying that the company provides a "free estimate", I was quoted $49 for the technician to travel. In addition, if I had not chosen to go ahead with the repair, the company would have charged me an additional $150 diagnostic fee. Essentially, despite the yelp profile stating a "free estimate", it will cost you closer to $200 to get a quote. I see this as false advertisement. In addition, when the technician concluded that the problem was the capacitor, I received a final quote of $600. When I googled the price of the same capacitor online, the price range was in between 75$ - 150$. Essentially, they are charging a premium of at least $450 per replacement for a single part (capacitor). Despite their professionalism and quality work, I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated above. If price is not a concern for you, and you would rather pay twice the market value for a job then you should definitely choose them. EDIT: I actually googled the price of a capacitor and offered to buy my own. I was told that by the technician that if I purchased my own capacitor that the company would not install it. In conclusion, they did not address any of my concerns. Unfortunately, after reading the other bad reviews, there seems to be a consistent pattern of discrepancies between what they tell customers and what they instruct technicians to say on site. Making an honest living is so much more rewarding than making it dishonest living.

Daniel was polite and responsive, and found the broken part, He gave me a price of $532.46 for the icemaker, and $100 to replace it. He requested a $300 deposit to order the part, which I paid by check. A few days later he came with the new part. But when he installed it, it didn't function properly. He said the part was faulty and he would have to get it replaced. I suspect that he broke the new part when he installed it. He said he would return in a couple of days with a replacement. He never returned. He didn't respond to text messages or voicemail. I suspected that he was ghosting me, so I asked a friend to call his number and he immediately answered. My friend then added me to the call, and Daniel tried to explain that he was in Canada and his phone wasn't working (although I was talking to him on his phone. He said he would get in touch with me when he returned from Canada. He never called. I considered submitting a small claims complaint, but in checking on the legal name of his company in Maryland, I find that his company as "forfeited". I had the misfortune of having my AC go out during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Yelp reviews led me to contact C&V Services. Carlos (owner) was very responsive. He came out and quickly diagnosed the issue as low refrigerant. Afterwards, he assessed the rest of my unit and made suggestions to keep it running more efficiently. He also explained what repairs I made need in the near future. At no point did I feel pressured into repairs that I didn't need. You can tell Carlos and his team value honesty, clear communication, and quality workmanship.
