Great place for brunch and friendly service! We reserved a table for 13 and they gave us two servers which was awesome! The mulemosa is a must! They have champagne bottles for only $12 during brunch! Great open space inside and out and well lit. They have valet parking as well. We had the chicken "waffles" and OMG! They are chicken wings and the batter is waffle batter. They then serve a side of syrup that is a bit spicy. Perfect combination of sweet and salty. We also had the green chili chilaquiles. I prefer mine a bit more crunch this to me was more of a casserole however don't take away the fact that flavor was all there and also a great dish! We will be back for sure! read more

SO BOMB!! Tried the porch for the first time this week and I was impressed. I ordered the forbidden rice bowl with added chicken and it was fantastic. The presentation was so cute. I complained, asked for lower volume or a quieter place. The response was "The games are on tonight." Well, here's why that's a load of crap: The TVs were loud to drown out the road noise from Indian School. The music was up so loud it drowned out the road noise, the TVs, conversations from people, and the wait staff trying to take our order. Seriously, they were yelling and still couldn't understand us without repeating. I am CERTAIN the noise decibel levels were stupidly high. Frankly, saving my hearing is reason enough to never go back here. But, frankly, from an employee standpoint, OSHA should require hearing protection there. Call in for takeout, because the food is good. But don't go there if you want to keep your hearing past 50. As a server, it sucks to see zero sense of urgency out of any of the staff. it's a slow Wednesday night and our drinks took over 15 minutes to come out. Tables stayed unbussed for the duration of our visit. Everyone's food was just okay. 1 out of 6 entrees took 15 extra minutes after we all got our food. This is an update to my last review after visiting The Porch initially when they first opened. After returning they have definitely improved their service and the food. I ordered the same thing as I did on my initial visit. Can you guess it?!? Wings! Wings! Wings! This time around they were good well (last time they were cold and over cooked). I think the kitchen has finally figured it out so I'm happy I returned. It's a fun place to visit, they have a patio and indoor setting with a pretty nice TV set up to watch the games. Based on my most recent visit I would now recommend this place. They've stepped their game up. My disclaimer: The first time I visited I was with a pretty big group. This last time I was with a smaller group and was at the bar. I'm honestly not sure if that made a difference but I could tell from the overall atmosphere that they definitely figured their ish out. read more

There are games there that you can play, but we didn't participate in any of that because we were really hungry and wanted to get to eating, but it's definitely something we would want to come back to again to experience. Hubby had the AZ Burger with onion rings, and I had the 2 tacos and buffalo chicken wings, and our appetizer was The Porch (jalapeno) poppers. All of the food was very good. The tacos here are some of the best tacos I have had in Arizona since we came here 7 years ago- Who knew?! We absolutely enjoyed their version of jalapeno poppers. I had one drink [hubby was driving] and it was the Unicorn Kiss. It was a good drink, not too much alcohol and very cute. Affordable and fun- definitely the kind of place we can come to regularly. The only issue we had was that the jalapeno poppers were brought out after our entrees, and we had to ask about them. Visited The Porch before noon today for lunch with the family, to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Had to wait a significant time to valet the car, even though we were second in line. We were seated immediately, no reservation needed but we could see it was getting busy. Brunch menu was in effect, and although I thought this place would accommodate my picky eater teens, that was only at lunch or dinner when they have the full menu which includes pizza. Server who seated us would not entertain any discussion of making the regular menu items like pizza available before 2pm. Strike one. Brunch menu has many creative items, but not a pancake, French toast or waffle to be found to appeal to picky kids. Strike two. Server promptly brought drinks but was busy with a huge table when we were ready to order. I was very pleased when she sent another server to get our food order in to the kitchen before the big table. Bonus points! Two of us ordered the BBQ Salmon salad, which was really good. Salmon was cooked perfectly medium. Sauce was yummy. Wish I had taken a picture! I had to ask for more dressing, which was very lightly flavored, but otherwise a winner! I also ordered a side of roasted carrot sticks and LOVED them. The spicy aoli dip was wonderful. Pastrami Ruben showed up with turkey instead, had to be sent back. Replacement came quickly. Thick sliced pastrami was a hit with husband. Fries with salt and pepper were good, too. Chipotle chicken soup of the day was too spicy for Grandma, but husband enjoyed it. Two at our table ordered the waffle chicken tenders. This is chicken dipped in waffle batter then fried. It was an enormous serving, but one had to be sent back because again, too spicy for Grandma. It seems the tenders were tossed in red chili maple syrup before serving, which ruined them. Giant teen only ate half, said they were good but stayed away from the extra sauce. Our server graciously offered regular tenders to Grandma, but warned there were a lot of orders ahead of hers. Interesting they could remake a sandwich in moments but the tenders had to wait in line for the fryer behind every new order? We all finished our meals and grandma still hadn't received her plain tenders. So we ordered dessert, two batches of churro donut holes with Mexican chocolate dip. Quite yummy, but they arrived BEFORE GRANDMA'S LUNCH replacement. Strike three. Bill came promptly and payment was processed quickly. Our server was sweet and friendly but couldn't control the kitchen. She did a great job with tea, water and Pepsi refills and apologized for the delay on the tenders and removed them from the bill. I am still not sure we will be back, but I do enjoy trying new places and appreciate the gesture. read more

Food took over an hour to come, not everyone's meal came at the same time. One meal came 20 minutes after everyone else's and then it was wrong two times. The decor on the inside and patio outside was nice. Drinks were fun. I am giving 2 stars for the Bloody Mary, but that is generous. Food was just okay, nothing special. You are mistaking my table for someone else. We did not get a free round of shots. The meal that was made wrong twice was removed from the bill, but we did not receive any additional discount. The patio has cute swinging chairs connected to some dining tables, life size games including corn hole and checkers. The drink menu is very creative. The bartenders use a good mix of infused liquor. The short rib nachos was the perfect pick for a girls Friday night out. I would give one more star but the staff collectively was not on their "A" game this day. Extended waits and a bit of an issue being seated however I remain empathetic of the stress COVID has placed on people's personal life and the new way we run businesses.
