I had a wonderful experience at The Porch in Arcadia on Friday, December 2nd. A dear friend from high school that I haven't seen in 17 years was visiting from PA, and The Porch was recommended as a great place to take her that evening. Even though the place was crowded, I was able to get a high two-top immediately. We were greeted by the best server I've had in quite some time, Mikaela. She made some drink suggestions, and my friend enjoyed Chardonnay while I had the fig mule and later the blueberry mule. There were many other specialty drinks I would have loved to try, but that will need to wait until my next visit when I'm not driving home. We also ordered the egg rolls as an appetizer. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Everyone was having a great time, and it was nice to see the place full on a Friday evening. I want to give an extra special "thank you" to Mikaela for making this night such a memorable experience. She was so great. I never saw her without a smile from ear-to-ear. I will definitely be visiting The Porch again in the future so I can try more of the amazing-looking menu items. read more

We chose the Porch because it was relatively close to the airport. My wife had the porch panini and said it was really good. I chose the French Dip burger. Went here for brunch and to watch the OSU game on a Saturday. I was underwhelmed when walking in because it just didn't seem like a place you'd go to watch College Football on a Saturday (even though I heard it was a great location for doing just that). There just weren't many people there for it being 12p on Gameday. The brunch menu wasn't exactly what I was thinking (no French toast, waffles, etc). It actually has a big tex mex vibe, which I wouldn't have known from the name of the restaurant. Our waitress was helpful in recommending some dishes and she spoke highly of the Mexico City Breakfast bowl so I went for it. It was actually REALLY good and I devoured it. Would definitely recommend that. My meal was definitely the highlight but I'm walking away with 3 stars overall because it just wasn't what I thought it would be. I was thinking they'd have some traditional brunch options and then the GameDay hype just wasn't really there at all. The fact that the waitress gave us our check as soon as we were done and didn't think we would stay to watch an entire game kind of just speaks to that (we ended up just paying and leaving-- not worth staying here to watch). I would go back, but no expectations of Gameday fun or anything like that. And now that I know they are more of a tex-mex vibe, I'll be sure I'm in the mood for that when I come. read more

First time here today (Saturday @ noon) and it was a perfect experience. They offer free valet (we tipped) which was nice since the parking lot was small. The two young men were friendly and professional. The decor was super cool and the vibe chill. Also it was all very clean. Music wasn't too loud; just right. I went here to watch the suns game a few weeks ago. The inside looked awesome, it was packed and the decorations and design was great. The outside was also very cool but I could only get a seat at the bar. They had TVs throughout making it a good spot to watch the game and I just made it in time for happy hour. I got a glass of Chardonnay and the glass was filthy when it came out... I drank it anyway because it was busy and I personally wasn't going to make a big deal about it, it happens sometimes! I ordered the guac also on happy hour and the chips were stale tasting. I have never sent chips back, but these were terrible. The guac was amazing however and I wish they had good chips because I would love to order the guac again. Then my friend ordered a burger and it took about an hour to get it (but it was slammed so we didn't question it). She said it was good. I then ordered the tinga tacos which I enjoyed, especially the pickled onions but they put too much cole slaw on them. Overall it was an okay experience. If I go back it will be in the "winter" for weekend brunch to enjoy the fireplace. read more

This is the second time that I've come here. The first time was over a year ago. I met a dear friend, a fellow yelper to have lunch. I kid you not it pains me to say this I had the worst. Worst service ever! She said her name was Kaley I don't know the spelling of her name but that's the name. She never once came to check on us never to ask if we needed anything I had to flag her down once to get a second drink. My friend waited and waited and waited. She never came to our side of the bar to ask us one thing. Finally after about 20 minutes my friend said we like another round while according to her and her mind another round, meant giving us our check, we both looked at each other. Pretty disgusted! Such a fun place! I needed to get out and do something and was searching for a restaurant with a spacious patio, this was it! It was not too busy, we had plenty of space. I loved how it was decorated for the holidays! My fiancé and I shared the appetizer platter, with the wings on a separate plate since I am a vegetarian. It came with fried pickles, chips, guacamole, salsa, queso, and mozzarella sticks. So much fried goodness! Everything was absolutely delicious!
