Was hoping to see a few more Gluten Free options on the menu, but was even more disappointed when the server told us the GF chips are not to be trusted as GF since they are cooked in the same fryer as the non-GF items. Was disappointed in the food and the service. Ordered pita with waffle fries. Food came, pita was in need of salt and the sauce drenched everything. The fries tasted fine but were cold. You can watch games, play games and drink up but you must batter smoke smells which so many cannot be around and eating with those smells is nauseating. We were sitting at the bar when the smell of smoke hit us and we asked the hostess if smoking was allowed on the dining patio; they said "yes" so we had to leave the restaurant. The patio is cute but allowing smoking in a small outside area is wrong especially when doors must be open for servers to get inside and outside. This is a big negative even if you eat inside as the doors are open for servers and the wind blows it inside. Smoking should be further away from guests (who are trying to enjoy their experience & not gag) or better yet, don't allow smoking! If the business owner wants to allow smoking at their Phoenix restaurant they should consider an area away from all entry doors, ie south of the valet stand and post signs accordingly. read more

I've been here a few times the past couple months. Each time I've been thoroughly impressed with the staff and atmosphere. The music is sometimes a little loud, but I love the energy the place gives off. I've been here for both brunch and dinner. One of the reasons I started going here was because of their awesome response to Covid. Masks are required, and they do take temperature checks at the door. They also practice social distancing between the tables. Their parking space is limited so it is valet parking only. No set price, but I always make sure to at least tip $5. If you don't want to valet, there is a bank across the street that you can park at and walk back. Valet accepts Venmo, cash app, or cash. read more

Lots of people there at 10:45pm (even with their 12am closing time). The waiting process for a table is crowded and seemed a little unorganized. Once we finally got in we got temperature checked and ID'd and brought out to our table. That's where my expectations lowered... trash everywhere, dirty tables, a mound of wet rags underneath the table at our feet. We had to flag down a server after 15 mins of waiting. She also sat down in a seat right next to me when taking our order and delivering our drinks? A little odd. Unfortunately my drinks weren't good either. I ordered the ginger margarita and something was really off-putting about it. It tasted bitter and overpoured. I switched it out for the south of the border margarita (same drink as my 2 friends), and it didn't taste anything like theirs. Needless to say I was disappointed. The Porch seems to miss the mark on the genuine things that get people to come back - sure, show that sanitation measures have "increased". I reserved my review of this place until after my second visit, as the first time I went it was their "soft opening", and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The food was amazing and the demographic was perfect for the area, so I was hoping they would fine tune things by the time I came back. We were so busy, today April 18, Sunday, and it was 8:30pm and we were hungry.  I checked out late night eateries in Tempe and the Porch came up.  I checked on several websites including yelp and all said that The Porch served on Sunday till 10:00pm.  We arrived to see a couple who entered just before us leave.  It was 8:50pm when we approached the hostess and she said, "I am sorry but the kitchen is closed."  I said, "We just looked up all your websites and it said you were open till 10:00pm."  She responded, oh yes, that is our close time.  But just for tonight we are closing now."  Not sure the owner knows what his staff is up to but they have taken over and closed his restaurant.  Three more couples came in after us and were turned away.  Don't think we'll go back.  Obviously the staff had better plans than working. One of my favorite places to grab a drink on a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon! The atmosphere is guaranteed to get you hyped to have a great time. They have numerous games inside and outside which makes this place an awesome date afternoon/night spot or fun place to go with a group of friends. Service is friendly and usually on point. Unfortunately none of the food options totally draw me in to eat but I have enjoyed several of their cocktails and a they have a wide variety of beers. Just had the worst experience at The Porch! A couple of my friends and I thought it'd be fun to try somewhere new for happy hour- so we came across The Porch and decided to check it out! We walked in and the hostess sat us down right away. We were sat outside, towards the back on the porch swings. A few minutes passed by, and three waitresses had attended a couple of other tables, and we had not been approached yet. One waitress looked at us and deliberately ignored us, having already seen us several times. At this point, the hostess walked outside to seat a couple. We had been waiting for about half an hour, still nothing. The waitresses had the audacity to acknowledge the couple that had just been seated and continued to ignore us. This is when we decided to get up and leave. I told the hostess that nobody had approached our table, no water, no nothing. I told her we had been waiting and that another table was taken care of before us. Her response was "Oh, did you seat yourself?" I reminded her that she had seated us and that she even saw us sitting there. I told her we were going elsewhere, and without an apology or any attempt to make it better she said "Ok, thank you." Zero empathy, zero decency. Very disrespectful and terrible customer service. My friends and I walked across the street and had dinner at The Vig where the service was fantastic, friendly and overall so welcoming! 10/10 would not recommend The Porch to a friend. It's nice to have another place to go in Arcadia with a group of friends. My friends and I went on a Friday night for dinner. We got there around 6:30 and only waited about 10 minutes before sat. The staff was very accommodating with our requests and made sure to continuously check on us. I didn't get to try much of the food that night, but the rest of the group had no complaints. It's so interesting that this place has such bad reviews because I went about three weeks ago with my friend and we actually had a great time. I will say that the drinks and food are pretty pricey as I paid $12 for a jack and Coke which to me is kind of expensive for a sports bar so beware that you may have to spend a little bit more money then you went to anticipate Me and my friend ordered the chicken wings and the pork belly nachos. Nachos were not that great as the meat was kind of cold and I felt like it was lacking in the cheese sauce but the wings were absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend the golden barbecue wings , SO good! They were cooked really well, super tender, and the sauce was so delicious! We also ordered the hot wings which were good but not the best I've ever had. Our waiter was really sweet! He did not mess up our order and got our drinks /food out to us promptly for a Friday night! This place has been non-stop packed since their soft opening, so they've had very little time to catch their breath. My wife and I run an Ugly Christmas Sweater Bike Bar Crawl in the Arcadia area and the Porch happens to land right in our normal path. Knowing they were still in their soft opening at this time and wouldn't necessarily be prepared to welcome 65 rowdy drinkers with the Christmas spirit (that's what we'll call our drunkenness) I decided to ask the GM if he'd be okay if we came in on short notice. He didn't hesitate and said they'd love to have us. A few days later, we rolled in to an already jam packed place on their first Saturday afternoon and everything went off without a hitch. We got a warm welcome, great service, and a great atmosphere. Reviews so far don't do this place justice and you'd know what I mean if you got to drive by the Porch every day.
