I have a severe egg allergy. Server informed me that the burger buns contain egg so I ordered a burger to-go with a lettuce wrap. Server informed me that she would tell the kitchen of my allergy & to be extra careful. The burger I was sent home with had a FRIED EGG on it, even though the description of the BBQ Burger on the menu does not include any mention of a fried egg. I had to throw away the entire burger & the fries it came with, as it was touching the burger--spent $16 just to throw it all in the trash. I am thankful I lifted the lettuce & checked the burger before taking a bite, as I would be in the hospital if not. Extremely disappointed; to have a server inform the kitchen of an egg allergy & then for the kitchen to ADD AN EGG to a non-egg item is beyond negligent. read more

This was my third time visiting this place. I live quite far but my friends and I enjoy spending time here or shall I say "enjoyed". Unfortunately today's experience ruined all the enjoyment and I don't see myself coming to this place again, nor my friends. It all started when we got seated we had pretty big group and our server who's name I believe is Alexandra (she had a full sleeve tattoo). Was quite rude from the start. It took her about 15-20 minutes to even ask us what we're ordering she never greeted us or apologized. During this process I asked if she could bring a cake/desert for my friend as it was his birthday, she said she can't, when I asked her why she simply replied "I just can't." In my head I thought oh maybe they ran out of cakes or deserts, when she came back with our order I asked her if anything sweet is available and she gave me the "you're annoying me" look. And again replied nothing sweet is available, I just don't understand why couldn't she explain the reason. Now when she served the food she didn't provide any silverware or napkins and such. No biggie it's Friday night place is busy I understand long day. However she didn't come to our table in about 20 minutes which of course by that time the food was cold. We wanted to get more drinks and food however we didn't see her for another 30-40minutes which at that time we just wanted to go. When we asked for checks and said how to split it she rudely replied that she isn't going to do so, asking for explanation again on why, she started looking for a reasons and gave different responses each time, and finally just said that her computer simply isn't working. By that time we were annoyed and the last drop was when she literally threw a single check(in the book) on the table as she was walking by. It took another 10-15 minutes for her to comeback and get the check. After that she threw the check on our table without saying anything. I hate to be that person but our group consisted of mainly people of color and it seems to be the problem for her. Because during this long time of sitting at the table we could see how she would serve everyone( same tables ) over and over but not us. I have been coming to the porch for many years as my family lives in Arcadia, but tonight we had the most disrespectful server named Alexandra with black hair and a sleeve tattoo. She racially profiled us from the minute we walked in and never greeted us when she came to our table. She proceeded to have an attitude with us the entire night, ending with her throwing the check on our table which was completely disrespectful and uncalled for. Love the ambiance and the neighborhood vibe. They have some of the most attractive people working there, which is nice and draws in a different crowd. The food is great. The prices are reasonable. The only problem I had was I sat with 2 other girls at the bar and we had to continually ask the bartenders for refills/ new drinks. Being in this business through out the years, I know that as a good bartender you pay attention to your empty glasses and continue to offer new drinks before the glass even becomes empty. After search the valley for the best spot to watch March Madness at a place that would actually play the game commentary and not blast music....we found The Porch. The Manager Bruce was fantastic working with the patrons to play the sound of the hottest game at the moment,,but our waitress and guardian of fun, Lindsey, made the Porch very special for 2 straight days. The food was fantastic, definitely a step above your average bar food...highly recommend the Albondigas Soup, Wedge Salad and the Border Bowl with short-rib meat. Ice in a pint glass 2 oz bourbon 1/4 oz Demerara syrup 7 dashed of bitters STIR (Whomever SHOOK my bourbon last night needs to go back to bartending school... you are pretty) Strain over one large ice cube. (Do not leave all that ice in the drink it waters the bourbon down) Take a large orange peel and twist over the glass, take orange peel and wipe around mouth of glass, finally drop orange peel on top of drink. Boom! bartending 101! There are many ways to make this. This is fast and delicious and will keep your people coming back. read more

Went here for some brunch with a couple girlfriends on Easter Sunday ... We arrived around noon and the patio was full, but we got a booth inside just fine. Service was prompt and friendly. Friends shared a bottle of bubbly with juices. I ended up getting a cocktail called the Antioxidant which was insanely delicious... Absolut, Veev acai liquor, berries, mint, ginger beer ... A winner! Also pleasing was that I was able to get the avocado protein bowl and sub in more veggies for the eggs, which made the dish vegan. Woohoo! I always ask really kindly if there's any butter or if it would be an issue to make the dish vegan, and the server was great about it. It was a bowl of veggies, potatoes, house-made sriracha, avocado and couscous. Loved it. Probably one of the better and fresher food dishes on the menu. All in all, good experience! read more

I took my time because the reviews were a little scary. Our experience was fab, hostess was super helpful, got our vibe and sat us right away. If you are planning to visit The Porch, make sure to request Lily as your server. She is HILARIOUS, attentive, and definitely easy on the eyes. She spoke with us about her aspirations to become a famous singer one day, even sung us a little tune! It was FABULOUS! While being personable she was also able to bring us our drinks in a timely manner, answer all our questions without making us feel rushed, and made some lovely recommendations. The experience we had at The Porch was probably the best dinning experience I've had in a very long time. A friend of mine hosted her birthday brunch there this past Sunday. We had a large group- which I know from past serving experience can sometimes be a pain... Our server, Ellie was SO amazing when it came to accommodating everyone at our table. I can't say enough great things about her! We were so appreciative of how attentive she was to our table's needs and always responded to a request in a positive, sincere manner. My boyfriend and I came at 10:30 and told us it'll be an hour wait so took our phone number details and we waited. 12pm came and still no phone call so we went back and asked and found out we had not been put on the waitlist. We then walked in and asked for a seat and they told us to wait in line like everyone else even though we gave our # over an hour prior to walking in. Treated VERY rudely by security and asked to get out of the waiting area. If I could give this no stars I would. I went here 4 weeks ago for dinner with my two sisters and my friend to celebrate my friends birthday. We all walked up to the hostess and mom friend asked the waitress how long the wait was hostess said about an hour. We told my friend if she wanted to stay, she said way. So I step forward as I see another hostess walking up and I look at her and say we need a table for four then that's when the first hostess said oh I didn't know you wanted a table and I then said yes my friend told very clearly and you ignored her. She didn't say anything to me and felt embarrassed that I said that in front of the other woman. After that we continued to have rude service when we ordered our drinks at the bar. While we are our dinner a manager walked out from the back and asked different if everything was good and he walked by our table and just gave us a dirty look and continued walking. He didn't both to ask if we were doing good. He walked by our table two different times and he just looked at us like we were a piece of trash. After we paid our bill we walked out to leave and the same manager guy walked out behind us and I saw him and told my sister that he followed us out. I said this loud enough for him to hear and he acted like he went out there to talk to the valet guys. That manager guy acted like we stole something from the restaurant. I have always wanted to here because it looked like a cool place to go. But since it is so close to Scottsdale they treated us like trash. We will not be going to this restaurant again. read more

We paid the check $33.00 for nachos a rice bowl with chicken and an ice tea Expensive and cold The service and food has gone downhill Trivia night is a great idea The host needs to get his lazy butt up to collect the responses while WE the patrons enjoy our food as we are the customers. It is Wednesday night -not even a weekend If there is an open parking spot, we should be able to park our own car - we do it daily. It should not be mandated by someone to have to park the car when there are 7 open spots. I love going out, I love sports bars and a great atmosphere. The Porch genuinely has both... fantastic bar, food, drinks.... but during a world wide pandemic, as over 150,000 people have died, they have disregarded all "common sense" guide lines, as well as Gov. Ducey's orders for 50% capacity, masks, and social distancing. Tonight the bar was 3 deep, everyone was shoulder to shoulder, and no one was wearing a mask... that's when I turned my back on this once decent establishment. The owners, management, staff, as well as patrons tonight should be ashamed... in a time when people and businesses are struggling, these horrible owners disregard public safety to turn a buck, and the patrons came in hoards. The state of the bar this evening has put everyone at risk, as well as the family members and friends they will inevitably come in contact with. I have been out of work, my career has been put on hold, and my income minimal, and I KNOW I'm not the only one... once fine establishments like this one are perpetuating the situation for those struggling due to Covid. You deserve to have your liquor license suspended, and to pay the medical fees for anyone who will probably get sick from coming to your location. This place is horrible! I wanted to have a birthday brunch here for my husband and the service was despicable. The receptionist was rude and had an attitude, we were seated for 30 minutes and no one checked on us or brought us refreshments and when we brought it to their attention, they didn't care. Initially thought the atmosphere was awesome and was super excited to try the food. The food was just ok, nothing amazing. I split the French dip burger with my boyfriend and he also ordered the poppers and a beer. Everything seemed to take a very long time. The waitress told him 15 minutes after ordering his beer that they would need to change the keg. When he asked for a refill, it took just as long. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything to write home about. Poppers where very dry and the burger was just ok. The horse radish sauce tasted a little more like mayo. First visit to The Porch for an early dinner. Six of us were seated promptly and server was there immediately to take drink orders. (We all had water, so I can't comment on the beer/wine menu. I'm not sure I even looked at it.) I can't vouch for the rest of the items on the menu, but the Mason Chopped salad was excellent! We had four kids with us who ordered the soft pretzel and loved it. The beer cheese was really good. The only thing I didn't care for too much were the stereotypical Hooters-esque servers. Big boobs, exposed bellies - not so much, thanks. Lots of people are ok with that, which is fine. It's just something to take note of if you're dining with early-teen boys. It was a little distracting. :-) Parking is really tight. About 90% of it is valet. The Porch is still pretty new, so we'll definitely be back to see how it evolves. It has great potential. read more
