After two bites of the wrong order.
    Lena J.

I ordered a wrap, Castro lover. I asked the guy at the front register what was in it. He said "everything, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, cheese with mayo and mustard". I said "Great! That's what I wanted except please switch the cheese to provolone instead of swiss and no tomato". He repeated the order back to me. This is what I received instead (pictured). No cheese, no mustard, no onion. I went back to the front and the lady told me that I'm wrong in what was included..... I'm sorry. WHAT?!? YOUR guy at the register was wrong.. then the ladies had the audacity to talk crap in their language. Listen honey. All Asians know swear words and bad words in other Asian languages. Don't be rude for your own mistakes. I ate across the street at cafe mystique for breakfast after wasting money here. BTW: These pics are taken in the car after eating breakfast at cafe mystique. My husband said he'll eat this wrong order later although it's no where worth 13 bucks. I ordered a frittata for 18 across the street.

Cute little cafe in the Castro District. Quite the variety of foods. They had a decent coffee selection. We were able to get Almond Milk and Oatmilk with no extra charge. Tons of bagel varieties. We went at 10am and all varieties were still available. The portions are good. There is plenty of Veggitarian options. Very little wait. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend this place. If we were staying near here, we would have come back and tried the salads.

Not the best, but they have a very convenient on Castro Street near 18th. The ordering process is a bit chaotic and they seem a little slow for just toasting bagels. But it's an easy breakfast on the go when you need it. Everything Bagel w/ Chive Cream Cheese: A little too bready for my tastes, while I'd prefer it to be more chewy instead. Also, was only lightly toasted when I feel like a nice crunch could have helped mitigate the texture issues. The "chive" cream cheese was actually scallions, which isn't a huge difference in the grand scheme of things but it did result in a stronger onion taste. Asiago Bagel w/ Spinach Dill Cream Cheese: In an attempt to hide the mediocrity of the bagels, I tried covering up with lots of flavors and it kinda worked. The browned asiago on top had that nice umami cheese flavor. The spinach dill cream cheese kinda tasted like an indulgent spinach dip, with even more flavors than those advertised. All that flavor against a toasted bagel and you almost don't notice it's not very chewy and way too bready. I'm not proud of having to drown the bagel in a bunch of added flavor, but it did the trick for a quick breakfast on the go.

My wife and I live in the neighborhood and absolutely love the bagels here. I've been to NY and went out of my way to try their famous bagels. We might've gone to tourist traps sure but those places don't compare to this Posh Bagel. I'm not exaggerating I swear! We get the Eggwich which is an egg sandwich with meat on a bagel and it is SO GOOD. The gooey cheese on the toasted bagels mixed with meat...goodness. And I love the consistency. It's always good. Can't say that about other bagel spots. When we have friends over for an early watch party we like to pick up bagels and our friends always demand to know where we got the bagels from. The staff is incredibly nice especially to my wife lol. She calls ahead to order and Jenny always recognizes her voice, it's really sweet. Parking is tough, it's right by the Castro station though and there's a lot next to it that is hidden and is popular but worth a try.

    Breakfast sandwich with plain bagel

My girlfriend came here to pick up some bagel sandwiches for us today on a Sunday after her workout class in Castro. Apparently there was a commotion while she was in line about a customer ordering a simple bagel with regular cream cheese but they gave her a salmon and cream cheese spread. The lady at the front desk exclaimed that she did (instead of simply apologizing and getting her what the customer wanted), but the customer was allergic hence why she wanted regular cream cheese. When my girl went up to put in our order, the front desk lady welcomed her with "oh, she totally ordered it with salmon." In my experience being in the food and customer service industry in the city, I thought that was really odd and mildly rude. Well when my girlfriend got home, I got pretty excited about my bagel sandwich since we're big into bagels and trying different places throughout the bay. She ordered me a jalapeño breakfast bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage. It was nice, they seasoned the eggs just fine and everything except they didn't deliver on the bagel. I think they gave me a regular plain since I didn't see any jalapeños on there... and that was odd too, because it's not hard to make sure it was a jalapeño bagel. Don't believe they were running low either... I can definitely see this place being just a quick grab and go place when you're in a hurry and have no other options.

Awesome bagel selection, some bagels were all gone, so I would suggest coming in earlier in the morning. I got and everything bagel with cream cheese and it hit the spot for my craving. Just under $5

Ordered from UberEats - came super fast! Strawberry&Banana Smoothie - 6/10, tasted pretty artificial (too much strawberry flavor) but had a good consistency to it Sausage Egg Bagel Sandwich - 7/10, was a bit soggy probably because it was sitting in foil while it was being delivered. Wasn't the best bagel I've had but wasn't bad either!

Rise and Shine! Ever…read moresince I heard about Rise Bagel, I've been craving a really good bagel. Unfortunately, I don't live in SoCal and don't have one near me, so I've been on a mission to find something that could satisfy the craving. I've had my fair share of lox bagels, but this was definitely the first time I've ever dropped $20 on ONE bagel. Sounds a little obnoxious, I know, but after eating it, I fully believe it was worth it. After many trials, errors, and disappointing lox bagels, I think I finally found the one. The thick, smooth cream cheese paired perfectly with the salty, buttery smoked salmon, all piled onto a perfectly toasted bagel. Then you get that little briny, pickled punch from the capers that cuts through the richness of the cream cheese and balances everything out. And when they call this a bagel sandwich, they mean BUSINESS. The second you see it served open-faced and absolutely loaded with toppings, you know they're not messing around. Personally, I actually prefer my lox bagels open-faced because it makes it easier to eat and lets you enjoy each half without everything sliding out after one bite. Is $20 for a bagel slightly unhinged? Maybe. Would I pay it again? Absolutely. If you're a smoked salmon or lox bagel person like me, this one is definitely worth the splurge.

My wife and I were meeting someone in San Francisco in the afternoon and we wanted to eat lunch beforehand. We were interested in trying Wise Sons Deli since we have heard so many people praising it. Since we were coming into the city via BART, this location was great. The ambiance is pretty basic; ordinary tables and chairs and only some photos on one wall. You order and pay at the counter and then someone will deliver the food to the table. If you want coffee or water it is serve-yourself. However, the food is fantastic! My wife ordered a corned beef Reuben sandwich ($18.50). It was thick and very tasty. I ordered a House Special Pastrami Reuben that had a smaller Reuben sandwich, french fries, a side of cole slaw, and a drink ($19.50). While it had half as much meat as the regular Reuben, it was still a good size. They make their own Pastrami and Corned Beef and it tastes great. The line around noon wasn't too bad, and it moved quickly since most people in line knew the drill and had their items ready to go. I ordered the slice-of-the-day, which turned out to be a mushroom + spinach + mozzarella combo. I placed my order at the counter and was handed a hot slice of pizza about five minutes later. I was fortunate to land one of the limited seats inside the bakery, although, there was also plenty of bench space in the parklet outside. The pizza crust was thin and crispy - with just the right amount of chew - and tasted slightly of sourdough. Topping-wise, the mushrooms were abundant but not overpowering; however, I wish there had been other vegetables to balance out the flavor. Paying less than $5 for a generously-sized slice (adorned with a mini slice on top) felt like a bargain, especially in SF. I would definitely make the trip back out here to give the pizza another try and to pick up some of the other baked goods.

I guess I should elaborate a little more for all y'all faithful Yelp readers. I tried a couple of different bagels at Noe Bagel. The sesame and everything bagels are both generously coated, with a beautiful outer crust that has just the right texture. The inside is soft and chewy. It's a classic New York-style bagel that will satisfy even your strongest bagel cravings. The mini bagels maintain that same excellence, just in a smaller form. Because of their size, the crust-to-center ratio gives you more of the micro-blistered snap that I love about bagels. Personally, I'd choose two or three minis over one regular bagel. The cream cheese is also excellent--well-balanced and smooth. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese. It has just a hint of sweetness that brings out the richness and creaminess of the cheese. And, like many spots in San Francisco, they offer a sourdough bagel. It's quite different from their sourdough bread, but I enjoyed it. If you're visiting, I'd recommend giving it a try. For my everyday go-to, I'd stick with a classic sesame or plain bagel, but Noe Bagel has enough variety to keep things interesting if you want to switch it up regularly. As a bonus, they sell day-old bagels by the bag for $4. You can freeze them, eat them as-is, or repurpose them into bread pudding. You'll end up with an interesting dish thanks to all the different bagel varieties mixed together--but that's part of the fun!
