Foodie Alert! I recently had a dope baked potato experience at The POT baked potato bar, a ghost kitchen located in the South Dallas area. They have a wide range of baked potatoes to choose from, but my favorite was the Seapot and the Texas Buffalo spud. The customer service is great! You go inside in order and once it's completed they will bring it to your car piping hot and ready to go! So If you're in the area, go get stuffed and tell them Ms. Hope sent you! NOTE: They are open on Tue-Fri 11am-6pm

I love a good baked potato, so it stands to reason that I would check out this spot in South Dallas. It is a takeout spot. The staff was very friendly and they all joked around like family. The wait was not very long. Only 4 people are allowed in at a time, as the area is somewhat small. They do, however, have a location just outside for you to sit and wait. I got the seafood baked potato. I requested no salmon and the lady was nice enough to ask me if I wanted extra shrimp instead. Of course, I did. My BFF got the lamb chops potato for herself and the steak baked potato for her son and daughter. They all looked great and the taste was amazing. I ate on mine for two days. They are just that big. I will definitely be back.

A Spud-tacular Experience! No pun intended! I never thought a simple baked potato could be life-changing, but here we are. This baked potato was a masterpiece. Perfectly crispy skin on the outside, fluffy and tender on the inside - it was like biting into a cloud of potato heaven. I had got the buffalo chicken one and I swear it was the best baked potato ever!!! The toppings? Generous and flavorful! The butter melted just right, cheddar cheese oozed into every crevice, creating a delightful gooeyness with every bite. The chicken was grilled to perfection topped with an amazing buffalo sauce with chives and green onions. It was more than just a side dish - it was the star of my meal. If you're looking for comfort food done right, this baked potato is a must-try. Let me not forget the lemonade was amazing as well. I need that by the gallon!!!!!! The service was good as well as ambiance with your wait. Highly recommend!

What better way to review a black owned business to close out the last day of Black History Month and write my first review of the year. I saw this spot on Tik Tok and knew I had to make my way here ASAP! I ordered the Meat me at the POT- chicken. I was not expecting that whole container to be filled with food and was pleasantly surprised that there was no space left open. The potato was huge and filled with bell peppers, onions, cheese, and chicken. That sauce baby. That sauce was so delicious. It was seasoned perfectly! Whoever was cooking listened to their ancestor and did not season it one granule more than they should have. The lady at the register was nice and you could tell the people that work there enjoy their job. It definitely translates through the food. If you decide to pay with cash you better have EXACT change cause if not the difference will be a tip LOL but the food and customer service is well worth it. It's not a dine in establishment so you get a pager to buzz when your order is ready. I want to try the seafood baked potato next time! Y'all better gone on down to The POT and get you one of them baked potatoes. My big back enjoyed it and yours will too!

The POT offers a unique menu with an impressive variety of ingredients, but it may not be the best option for picky eaters like me--half the fun is in the adventurous combinations, but I found myself wanting to remove most of the toppings. With dishes around $25, I decided to share with my dining companion rather than order my own. This is strictly a takeout spot; there's no dine-in option, so plan to eat in your car or take your food to go. The tiny ordering area barely fits more than three or four people, so dress appropriately for the weather. There's a covered waiting area, which helps. Taste: 7/10 Wait Time: 10/10 Ordering Experience: 7/10 (Staff seemed overwhelmed. No paper receipts--digital only, which was an issue for some older patrons.) The wait wasn't bad--about 30 minutes for our potato order, despite having a few orders ahead of us. They don't accept cash unless it's the exact amount, with no change given. I interpreted this as a hint to leave any difference as a tip. Overall, it's a spot with potential, but go prepared for a grab-and-go experience and a bit of a wait There is a market next door where you can purchase drinks if you don't like the options of teas and lemonades given.

Service was good the only downside to the potatoes is that the bottom of the potatoes made need more butter or the sauce but other then that it was great

Tried this place for the first time last night and had a great experience. Arriving, we were a little confused because the first thing you see is a convenience store. The Potato Bar is off to the side of that. Walking in, we were greeted by the lady at the counter and handed a menu. We got inside around 5:35pm, placed our order and was handed a little device that would tell us when the order was ready. It's smaller in the inside so waiting outside or in your car makes the most sense. I'd say our buzzer went off around 5:50pm. We ordered two of the Sea Pot potatoes, one without the crawfish sauce. The three staff members inside of the restaurant were extremely nice and went above and beyond with their service. The portion sizes were top notch and the flavor was definitely there. We also ordered two of the lemonades and thought they were great too. For me, service adds to the how much you enjoy the food. Good food and good service, makes for an amazing experience. We will be back to try the other potatoes!

Hot and made to Order. Very soft, flavorful, baked potato. The peppers could have been chopped up smaller. and more veggies added.

Omg the baked potato i had was so good!!! I got the sea pot...comes with shrimp, salmon, and crawfish with a delicious cream sauce. This is kind of like a ghost kitchen so you have to get the food to go. I waited about 30 minutes for my food on a Saturday afternoon so, not too bad. I can't wait to go back and try the taco potato.

I enjoyed the herby sauce on the chips, but wished it was served on the side! Mains: English Pea & Potato Pierogi, Mac and Cheese, and Vegetable Pasta - they were very nice to make a vegetarian pasta dish for us, and it was delicious! The tomato sauce was flavorful. The Mac and Cheese was also perfectly cheesy and I enjoyed the garlic breadcrumbs. My favorite was the Pierogi -- savory potato's, sweet brown butter sauce, and fresh greens to balance it all out! Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

We were given a table in the side bar room by the food runner. If you know anything about me, you know Kenny's Italian is my favorite restaurant in the DFW area. I love it. So, we were excited to try this Kenny restaurant as the expectations were high. Spoiler alert: not so much. As always, the service at Kenny's was impeccable and the best we've had thus far. Our server was so friendly, attentive, and just so damn nice. After being told it was our first time there, she brought us some tenderloin crostinis and crispy fried Brie (with raspberry chipotle sauce) on the house. The Brie recipe was so damn good it made me cry. Yup. The crostinis were decent. The bread brought beforehand was fun but too eggy. We ordered a filet, the beef short rib, potato cakes, mac & cheese, brussels, and asparagus. Everything was just okay. The filet was good and tender but saucy and the short rib was okay. Both had unique flavors and good but not that special. The potato cakes were basic and neither of us liked the smoky mac with chunks of ham in it. The asparagus were hard and some of the worst we've had. The brussels were unmemorable. It seemed like everything had a smoke hint to it and it wasn't our vibe (should have known with woodfire in the title). But those Brie balls and service...almost made it all worth it. Overall, we most likely wouldn't return and will just stick with Kenny's Italian which is true perfection. Our bill was around $110 and we tipped $60 for a total of $170. Features a compact bar with only 2 screens, which again is preferential versus something loaded to the gills with cheap TCL displays. Menu is simple and direct, with all of what you might expect from an upscale neighborhood bar & grill. The tuna tartare is excellent, but it's more of a dip almost than a traditional imagining. It has jalapeno, heaps of cilantro, and muddled avocado to tie it all together. Very fresh and pleasant. Pastrami sliders were also tasty, but I would venture to say they are a little too bready for an appetizer, but nicely done otherwise. My go to entree is of course either the hanger steak or filet with fries and semi traditional bistro sauce, can't go wrong there. I have only seen 2 deserts on the menu, but there might be some special appearances from time to time. The do not miss item there is the Basque cheesecake. Which is basically a cheese forwards cheesecake without a crust, and somewhat reduced sugar content versus it's American cousins. Very good, and served with a berry coulis. The only trespass I experienced was with the wine list. It's overall somewhat expensive for what's listed, and on my last visit two bottles I had ordered were out of stock. That being said there are good picks here from Premier Cru Chablis to Faust Cabernet Sauvignon.
