I've heard about this breakfast burrito for years. I finally decided to treat myself, and it was worth every bite! Located in front of Home Depot with a few tables in case you wanna eat there. Best breakfast burrito I've had in a long time. And the service was top notch. All staff is so incredibly friendly. My kinda establishment! The OG burrito is stuffed, and I mean stuffed with tater tots, Portuguese sausage, bacon, cheese, egg, LJ's sauce (mayo-based sauce) and it's insanely delicious. All the flavors and textures blend so well together. The veggie burrito, which I got without bell peppers, added bacon was also really good. Never thought of adding grilled onions in a breakfast burrito, and now it's gonna be the only way to breakfast burrito, SO good! There's a variety of salsas to choose from, the mild red salsa is very fresh and flavorful. The cilantro creama is creamy and delicious. These burritos are huge, y'all. It probably weighs 3 lbs each, so definitely come hungry. They also have a lunch menu with hot dogs and burgers, served after 11:30am. I live a couple of miles away and do lots of shopping locally. Most recently, I did stop by Home Depot and saw the line to this restaurant right out the door. Lucky for me it wasn't too bad. I placed my order for the Oj breakfast burrito. I brought it home and did give my daughter half because it was huge!! It was beautifully wrapped, smelled amazing and the ingredients were fresh, looked nice and appealing and I was very happy. It was on the pricier side but honestly, it was competitively priced. This is such an interesting find on Yelp! I definitely went to this Home Depot a couple of times not knowing that there was a breakfast burrito place right in front of it. The get very busy in the weekends, at peak times they quoted is 1-2 hour waits for burritos! We went very early on the weekend and enjoyed a quick 15 min wait time. My new favorite breakfast burrito spot in OC! But let me tell you, expect a wait. The Cypress location is unique in that it's basically a little shack in front of a Home Depot. There are two windows--one for ordering and one for picking up your food. They have a few tables outside, but if those are taken, then you'll have to take it to-go or stand next to some lumber or pots while you eat. I ordered online around 8:45, but it was a bit confusing because the system tells you it will only be a 30 minute wait, but the estimated pick up time they provided was an hour and a half later. Wasn't sure when I should arrive, so I went in between those times. Thankfully it was ready a little before the estimated arrival time. I overheard some other people talking saying that if you order in person at the window, the wait can sometimes be 2+ hours! That's a pretty long time to wait, but I will say that their burritos are good! We got the OG Breakfast Burrito that has eggs, tater tots, Portuguese Hawaiian sausage, bacon, mixed cheese, LJ's sauce, and a side of salsa. You can choose red or green salsa. We also got a Veggie Breakfast Burrito with 3 eggs, tater tots, grilled bell peppers, onions, grilled tomatoes, mixed cheese, LJ's sauce, and salsa. I also added crispy bacon. Both were flavorful, delicious, and had a nice variety of textures. They also have some other sauces like Hot Habanero Salsa and Creamy Cilantro Crema, so I'll definitely have to try those out next time. I kept seeing videos of LJs all over social media so I decided to do my own investigation. Conclusion: it's worth the hype! I could say this is one of the best burritos I've ever had. I love my tots crispy/crunchy inside the burrito for texture, and I didn't have to ask for it. It's how it comes! It took about 6-8 mins for my order to process after ordering. I ordered the spicy OG, and it was so tasty! Along with the crispy tots, the cheese was gooey, and there was delicious sausage in every bite. You can order different sauces on the side for 75 cents each, you do get one for free with each order. The sauce cups are 2 oz cups and I found buying an extra sauce suffices for the entire burrito (I'm a saucy girl). Yes, the spicy og was about 18$, but it was HUGE. Although the burrito and the sauce got was definitely spicy, the flavors were still all there while the spice just slowly crept up. They provide one sauce per burrito, and charge 50 cents for each additional sauce. Honestly, I love a lot of sauce on my breakfast burritos, but I felt like one of these sauce cups was sufficient. The habanero salsa was spicy and flavorful and added a nice kick to the burrito that was also packed with flavor even without the salsa. Husband had the regular og burrito with creamy cilantro salsa that he really enjoyed. That was crunchy and flavorful as well. These burritos are HUGE. They come cut in half. One burrito is plenty to share. FYI. It is attached to Home Depot and is at the front of the store. There are a few limited tables outside. The servers at the window at very accommodating. We ordered online which said our order would be ready in 1.5 - 2 hours. But we got there right after we ordered, went to the pick up window and asked if they could have it ready earlier and they accommodated. I was very impressed with their service. The OG has eggs, crispy hash browns, bacon, cheese and Portuguese sausage chunks in it. They slice it in half for you so you can see the goodness you are about to consume. It was so good...might have ruined any/all breakfast burritos for me in the future. My gold standard before this one was a Cotijas Hashbrown Burrito down in San Diego, but this one blew it out of the water. Literally every element of the burrito worked well together, and every bite was wonderful. The green serrano salsa is bomb, too! Spicy, but not too hot. Forget all other breakfast burritos you've had because LJ's sets the bar on a whole 'nother level. I thought that I had had good breakfast burritos, even REALLY GREAT ones, but they all pale to those being served out of this shack in front of Home Depot. LJ's Lil' Cafe is a local favorite for all things breakfast burritos. Unassuming from the outside as it's just a small walk-up window stationed in front of a Home Depot, what's cooking up inside is simply magical. I got their Spicy OG Breakfast Burrito which features eggs, tater tots, hot Italian sausage, cheese, and jalapeños. It was perfection wrapped in a tortilla. The eggs were fluffy, the tots were crunchy, the sausage had a nice snap to it. Literally, no notes! Each burrito comes with a side of salsa. You can choose from their signature, red, or green. I opted for the green one-- super refreshing with just the right amount of spice. What stood out to me about their salsa was the portion size. They don't skimp on it and give you a fat tub! Ordered the OG burrito and it was so filling! Definitely could not have finished one by myself. I did split it and it was perfect. I love that they don't skimp on the filling. I did place my order online and I got it within 10 minutes which was faster than anticipated! You get to choose from a variety of sauces so I chose the LJ's sauce which tastes like a chipotle aioli. I personally think the sauce was too heavy with the burrito I got since it's mayo-based so next time I'd choose a salsa to help cut through the heaviness of this burrito.
