Unfortunately, my son was very disappointed and started crying afterward because he had been looking forward to getting the cards. I understand that stores have inventory rules and employees may have limitations on what they can sell. However, the interaction was confusing and left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I hope the store can communicate more clearly with customers in the future.
