Don't eat here. Everything is dirty!!! The buffet and services were horrible. Go somewhere else

Fresh and warm table bread with butter!

Absolutely incredible restaurant! We arrived at 9pm and were worried we missed the dinner but they had extended hours until 10! The view over the falls at night is breathtaking! And arriving at 9pm the fireworks went off which made it that much more special!! All of our food was delicious! The main reason I wanted to leave a review was for the waitress Lindsey who worked Dec 23rd at night and was our server! My boyfriend proposed to me after our dinner and Lindsey was an amazing help getting everything perfect for him to pop the question and used my phone and took a million pictures! Thank you so much for capturing our special moment and making the overall evening absolutely wonderful!

On a recent trip to Niagara Falls, my boyfriend and I visited chef Massimo Capra's Rainbow Room restaurant at the top of the Crowne Plaza hotel (we were guests of the hotel too). The experience was incredible, as we had a great view of Niagara Falls during sunset. The food was also quite amazing. Not the best ever, but quite impressive. Massimo Capra is certainly a culinary genius. And we were quite amused by all the videos of him (on the hotel room and lobby TVs) dancing and prancing as he prepared the foods in the commercials. We also got a $40 discount because we were hotel guests (note - they don't process the discount until you check out; you still have to pay full price during the meal). For our meal, we ordered: -Lobster Bruschetta for our appetizer (East coast lobster, heirloom cherry tomatoes and Buffalo mozzarella, basil seedlings). This was incredible! It tasted just as good as it sounds. -10 oz New York Strip Loin (Crispy fingerlings, heirloom vegetables, pancetta and king oyster mushroom "Cappucino"). We both got this and it was very delicious. I don't even like mushrooms and enjoyed the mushrooms in this entree. Very perfect sauce too! For drinks, I ordered the "Marilyn Monroe" (cocktail of sparkling wine, Calvados and a dash of their house-made grenadine). This was a perfect cocktail - very refreshing and delicious. Marilyn Monroe had stayed at the Crowne Plaza when filming the movie "Niagara," so this was her namesake. I also ordered a Bellini (classic Italian cocktail of sparkling wine and peach nectar), which was also very delicious. My boyfriend ordered more manly drinks, including the Churchill (blend of vodka, Cointreau, sweet vermouth and lime juice) and the Capra (blend of vodka, dry vermouth, juniper and mandarin juice). Everything was great - service was good, the food was delicious, and the view was seriously incredible. I highly recommend dining here for dinner for a great experience and view of the Falls!

Went for dinner at the Rainbow Room as we were staying at the hotel. Aside from the convenience, I was also looking forward to the view of the Falls based on pictures they have on their site. I have seen Massimo Capra on TV a few times. The man has big personality and I wanted to see how that would translate into his food. We were seated by a window with a nice view of the Falls. We were given some toasted chickpeas to munch on which wasn't too bad, but not the easiest to eat elegantly if you are on a date! Our cheerful waitress came by to greet us, offered us some water and to let us know the specials. Nice warm bread was brought to the table afterwards along with two different types of house made spreads. We settled on trying the Lobster Bruschetta to start. It was pretty light and refreshing tasting. I ordered the Lamb and my girlfriend ordered a duck dish which was one of their dinner specials for the night. Both dishes have very strong flavoured sauces which transferred to the sides but didn't necessarily to the flavouring of the proteins. The sauces were tasty, so it would have been nice if the meats soaked up some of it without having to lather it on ourselves. We were unfortunately both too full to try their desserts. Good experience overall. Can't beat the view, service was good, and the food was decent.

When we got to the hotel, they gave us a coupon for this place so we thought we'd check it out. Even with the coupon, it's definitely pricey! but it was worth it since we were on vacation and wanted a nice dinner together. From where we sat, we had a great view of the falls. The waiter we had was very nice and proper. As for the food, it was pretty delicious- from the appetizers we got to the dessert at the end! It was a memorable dinner!

Both falls are seen at once. Awesome

While on a bus trip from Ocala, FL to Canada we had dinner at this excellent restaurant on the 10th floor of The Crowne Plaza Hotel. The dinner was booked by the tour company we dealt with so I can't comment on the price (it was included in our package) It goes without saying that the view of the falls from the 10th floor was breath taking...a unique chance to see and photograph both falls at once Our meal was excellent...from the dinner rolls and the cute little butter-balls that went with them to a cup of tomato lentil soup, our tasty dinners and chocolate cake for desert...all and the service...perfecto! Our only complaint was the elevators in the building...a wee bit on the slow side but that didn't tarnish our great experience at the top

If you're thinking true fine dining, then you may wish to book elsewhere. For the price that will only buy us lunch at the CN Tower revolving resto, we're enjoying a Thanksgiving feast with a superb view of the falls. The 3 course Thanksgiving dinner is just $52 per person. The portions are huge! I'd go easy on the bread served with 2 kinds of hummus spreads! Service is amazing! The view is breath-taking. Make sure you specify your preference for a window table. They'll do their best to honor it. If you're staying at Sheraton or Crowne Plaza, check for promo packages that include dining credits!

Chicken strips off the kids menu

This is an expensive dinner. I had the beef dinner. It was cooked very nice and really enjoyed the meat and vegetables. I did not like the way they did the potatoes. My wife had the lamb dinner. It was cooked properly but really lacked flavor. Again, she did not like the potato. My daughter had the chicken strip dinner off the kids menu. The chicken was dry. Most other restaurants include dessert for the children in the meal price but here it was an extra $8 for ice cream ( a rip off for a kids meal) bringing her meal total to $25 for a five year old. The service, ambiance and view of the falls was excellent. The food could have been better for the price and they should not try and gouge the kids meals. Surprised because Massimo owns this restaurant.

Great view and fantastic food

Fine dining with great food and service. Very romantic. Very emigrant ambiance, classy and classic. The view raises experience to new legal. The lasagna appetizer was wonderful, as was the tomato based onion soup. We had the special rib eye, the marscapone potatoes were fantastic. I would recommend them highly. Service as excellent, server had excellent recommendations for wine pairings.

This review is based on our first experience at the Rainbow room. The carpaccio and scallops were very good, the gnocchi was one of the best I've ever had. Service was good.

Very pricy, but the food was good! Excatly what you want in a fancy italian restaurant. 3 stars because the food was not explained very well to us, and the server was nice, but not very helpful. Dinner is definitely expensive here, but very good! Breakfast on the hand, 5 stars :)

We have asked for our eggs this way at other establishments and never received them like this. The bacon was floppy & needed to be cooked more. My daughter loves pancakes, but she wouldn't eat the ones here. I tasted them, and they were very dense, and tasted like they were from a not-so-great boxed mix. Lol you're advised of this when entering and with signage around the restaurant. There's a very limited menu. After getting our coffee (and a couple refills), the Chef yelled over asking what we wanted. Very casual. Well our breakfast were not only reasonably priced($6.99 canadian) but also huge. All made to order down to the potatoes being cut up individually with each order. Crazy as it sounds though was the Italian bread toast served with breakfast. It was outstanding! We even inquired where they purchased the bread and we made a stop there after finishing our breakfast. Overall, great food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. Spare yourself a sub par breakfast somewhere else and come to Cippy's.

After 5pm Friday and throughout the weekend (as well as every bank holiday) street parking is free, in an attempt to lure customers. We were seated immediately. The restaurant does breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has a nice list of wines and coffees. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The French press coffee was spectacular, and the Chantilly cream I ordered as a side was spritzed into my coffee cup with every refill. (I always say, "yes" to schlag Sahne!) The menu has about 12 choices of gallettes (savory) and 12 choices of crepes (sweet). Both are thin buckwheat pancakes with extensive, yummy fillings. It was hard to choose just one! I opted for the galette Thalassa, which is filled with a mesclun salad, cherry tomato halves, mandolined radish and cucumber and red onion strings, covered with lox, capers, a dab of sour cream and a teaspoon of black caviar. It was a feast! My husband had the galette Savoyard, with a scrambled egg and prosciutto. I can tell he liked it by his silence after it was put in front of him!
