Went here tonight, for the first time. My BF got the original sandwich, at Bonfire level spice with coleslaw, and I got the southwest salad with a tender at Blaze level. Overall it was good, the guy at the counter really made us nervous about the level of spice but after trying the two spice levels under the hottest, I definitely feel like I could have gotten the hottest spice. It was good, my BF also thought the slaw was good too. It's different than we expected since it's a dry rub, but still really yummy. Plus while we were there we learned they have lunch specials for only $9.99, and Thursday's their tenders are only $2 each. So we'll definitely be back. read more

I don't like things that are super spicy so I started with the glow (mild) and spark (medium ). The glow was good but not enough heat . First time visiting red chicks, overall it was good. We ordered the chicken strips and chicken sandwich with wedge potatoes. I enjoyed the food and service was decent. We had to wait for our food but not a big deal as it arrived hot off the grill/ fryer. Our server was really nice and checked in on us several times and updated us on the wait which was very nice. The location is small inside but there's patio seating outside. The tables were quite wobbly and dirty and it was pretty warm inside. We felt bad for the cashier, the poor guy was sweating a while taking our order. I walked in here on a weekend and it was pretty busy! There were a lot of people eating and waiting for food. The line was short and I was able to order right away. There are plenty of seats inside and outside. I ordered two tenders with the side of potato wedges. I got medium spicy tenders and added a side of ranch to my order. The tenders were very crispy and crunchy which I enjoyed. The chicken was decently tender, but not juicy. The seasoning was pretty sparse. I have seen many pictures of the chicken tenders being fully coated in the seasoning. I'm not sure if some fell off, but it definitely lacked flavor. The potato wedges were delicious and I loved those with the ranch. The sauce portions are so small. Two sauces were barely enough. You have to pay extra for any additional sauces. I asked if I could have a few extra pickles and they were going to also charge for that. The best thing about my meal was the potato wedges and quick service. Overall, I wasn't too satisfied with my food because it lacked flavor and everything was an additional charge. I have been wanting to try their $2 Thursday tenders for a while and finally happened to be in the area on a Thursday. I ordered one tender and a buffalo sauce. Here are my thoughts... 1.) I like spicy but I just wanted to know what their regular chicken tasted like so when asked spice level I said mild. Maybe this was the wrong selection for what I was going for but honestly it was so bad I couldn't eat it. It had a weird powdery coating that was both spicy and a terrible flavor. Honestly it was one of the worst things I ever had. 2.) The wait for the food was around 25 minutes. They weren't even busy and there were literally 2 huge flats of fried chicken sitting under a heat lamp right behind the counter as I ordered. 3.) While waiting I noticed you can get a free milkshake with a Yelp check in. For some reason Yelp was giving me trouble and I asked the cashier for help. He spent some time with me trying to get it to work and in the end was just a sorry I can't help you. I think good customer service would have recognized the effort and given me the shake anyway. I know I didn't order much but I only noticed the sign because my food took so long and it didn't list an order minimum from what I could tell. 4.) $2 chicken tenders but you have to pay $.75 or so per sauce so is it really a good deal? It definitely was not if you consider the buffalo sauce was not good either. I went up the counter and was ignored. Surely they don't want us waiting in the order line for our pick up? I first came here with my wife on a lunch and movie date back in May of this year. Since then, we've been back probably about 10 times, usually bringing along family or friends to share in the food. That alone should tell you how brilliant Red Chickz is and it is easily the best spicy chicken sandwich spot I've been to after sampling a dozen similar spots around the county. The portions are large, a two strip meal easily splittable. The breading is thick, crunchy and flavorful that helps soak in the oil without becoming soggy even after reheating. The spice coating is delicious, a good amount of heat, and nicely cooked into the chicken and breading. And all of the sides have been top-notch, making every meal I've had fairly perfect. Having come so often, I've tried something new on every visit, allowing me to have a good list of things to give a hearty thumbs up on. The Original Sandwich: Juicy chicken, good spice and heat, sour pickles, sweet slaw, all on that tasty bun. It's a classic and it's delicious. The Comeback Sauce that came with it was a great add-on, not too salty or sugary, and bringing its own flavors. Chicken n' Waffle: Sweet, salty, and spicy ... you can't go wrong with all of that. The waffles were thick, soft on the inside with a crispy outer shell. They soaked up the syrup and eating them with the chicken was soul comforting on multiple levels. French Toast Sandwich: Delicious, like the chicken n' waffle, just with a hint of vanilla. Honey Butter Sandwich: Another sweet and salty masterpiece. Dripping with thick and gooey honey butter, each bite is a sinful and creamy delight. Cauliflower Sandwich: It's a thick slice taken from the bottom of the head. Cooked to the point where it's tender and easy to bite and firm enough where it stays in one piece on the bun. And it absorbs the flavoring surprisingly well, the breading nice and spicy. It may not be the chicken, but it's still pretty good. The only issue with this is the sheer size. It may be a wild thing to whine about, but the cauliflower does get old about 3/4ths of the way through in a way that the chicken doesn't. Chicken Tenders: Basic, delicious, damn good. Potato Wedges: Perfectly cooked, thickly cut, nicely spiced, and they have a great skin on them when eaten either fresh or on reheating. Cauliflower Bites: My wife's favorite thing here. And just like the wedges, they've brilliant fresh or on reheat. Cheese Curds: Holy crap these are good. I can guarantee you, I will be coming back. This place might be two cities away, but, nothing can keep me from visiting a few times a month. I mean, I still have the Jumbo Shrimp, Loaded Mac n' Cheese, Nashville Tacos, and Southwestern Salad to try. God, I just convinced myself to have lunch there on Monday. read more

My wife had the chicken sandwich, medium heat and I had the two tenders, hot. Both were great. I will say that while I loved the flavor and first bite the heat was perfect, it seems to stack.
