    Chicken paprikash and side salad
    Amy J.

They are no longer cash only! They accept cards for payment now too. Chicken paprikash is only available on Wednesdays and comes with a side of applesauce, salad, roll or a couple other choices. Very reasonable prices here. Veggies added on the side for about $3. Nice and warm hole in the wall spot. The food was plentiful for the price and came with two rolls as well as the salad I chose for my side. The chicken was 3 thighs which were juicy although the sauce wasn't particularly flavorful. There were plenty of spaetzle as well. A great affordable decently healthy meal overall.

So to look at it - well it looks like everything is going to be covered in grease, but it's clean as a whistle - just old. The wait staff is a bunch of characters and the food is pretty great. No complaints from my dining partner or I. Don't let looks deceive, give it a go! Great breakfasts.

First impressions mean a lot, and had it been up to me, I would have turned around when I saw the menus.... DISGUSTING. Covered in grime and falling apart. One photo shows where I scratched some of the grime off of my menu. And f the menus are this bad, what is the kitchen like??? What looked like a piece of carrot in the applesauce. Plastic in the water. This place has really gone downhill!!! GET NEW MENUS, FFS!!!! Waitress was nice.

Don't let the looks of this place scare you. The portions were huge! Fried chicken was delicious. Slavic sampler with soup was enough for 3 people. Very friendly people working. Clean restrooms. It's not fancy (hasn't been updated in probably 50 years) but if you are hungry... this is the place to try.

    All-American Breakfast ~ yum!

Stopped for brunch as we were leaving Cleveland, so happy we did! We were seated promptly, and waitress was patient while we all decided on our orders. Husband ordered cinnamon raisin bread French toast with bacon. Oldest daughter ordered chicken Caesar salad, youngest ordered chocolate chip pancakes. My meal was the All-American breakfast (enough to share with others!). Everyone enjoyed the meal. We would definitely return if in the area~ one of the best breakfasts I've had while traveling. *I did not check signage to see if the cash only policy has changed. We were prepared with cash as recent reviews indicated it was still cash only.

Excellent restaurant in Slavic village for all things comfort food. We will definitely be back when in need of a good hearty meal. They serve breakfast all day. My youngest stepson got the breakfast burrito and that thing was HUGE! I think it would make a chipotle burrito blush. I had the beef tips and noodles. Do not let the way they look fool you! They were excellent. We are excited to return and try more from the menu. PS: this place is cash only. They have an atm for you to withdraw money from if you don't have cash.

Great breakfast spot if you're in the area. Good quality food, with large portions that taste good! I've had it a couple times as it's on my commute with work. Ordered the western omelette and it was tasty as usual. Felt like the eggs was a tad over cooked this time but was still good. Home fries are great, just needs a touch of salt and pepper.

Slavic Village Sampler (not in photo is bowl of soup).

I come to Cracker Barrel because I genuinely enjoy the pecan pancakes and chicken sausage. Since I…read moredon't eat pork, my breakfast options at most restaurants are already limited, so I tend to stick with places that offer good alternatives. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. My grits and chicken sausage were served cold. I politely brought it to my server's attention, and instead of apologizing or offering to replace it, she responded, "Should I go in back and get a meat thermometer?" That response was so unprofessional that I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over, acknowledged my concerns, took the grits and sausage, and told me she would replace them. However, I had split one of the sausages with the side of my fork before sending it back. When the food returned, it was obvious they had simply microwaved the same sausage and grits and added more cheese to the grits. It wasn't a replacement at all. I don't argue with restaurants. Once I realized what had happened, I quietly got up and left. I don't believe in forcing my money or my business on anyone. If a restaurant shows me that's the level of service they want to provide, I'll simply spend my money somewhere else. Afterward, I looked at this location's reviews and saw it has only a 2.6-star rating. After today's experience, I understand why. I had hoped my experience was an isolated incident, but it appears I'm far from the only customer who has left disappointed.

I actually ordered the wrong thing as I wanted the boneless chicken with the potatoes and corn and I ordered with the bone. She was able to correct it quickly. The food was good and staff was nice. I would definitely return to this location. Good customer service and food that is consistent.

I'm not a beer person but my husband always seems to find a new favorite. Personal favorites include schnitzel, spatzle, brisket poutine, brussel sprout Caesar salad, and shrimp and grits. Their menu has such variety, I can't think I one thing I wouldn't get again! If you haven't tried it, GO NOW! if you haven't been in a while GO NOW! The only drawback (which proves their success) is a possible wait in the evenings. The staff is so efficient and seem to try their best to accommodate every person/party that walks in the door. Oh I didn't mention the deserts! Hand made! Dare I say, better than moms? You know how you're usually to full for desert? Take one bite and bring the rest home

They were so good. The krauts had this crunchiness and you could tell they made them fresh there. For entrees, I got myself schweinshaxe and my partner got pork schnitzel. The schweinshaxe was a huge pork shank with krauts. The pork shank was so slow cooked so it was super tender and flavorful. It was so good. I wished they added a bit more krauts to it. I couldn't finish it at all cause it was just so much. There was bread pudding to the dish. I guessed because of the savory and sourness of the krauts and pork shank. They needed to add some sweetness by introducing bread pudding. The bread pudding was very yummy. My partner enjoyed his pork schnitzel. He said Das Schnitzel Haus made it better but this came in a very close second. Overall, we love their menu since they offer something different. The menu would be perfect if they have potato pancakes.

From looking at the menu, walking into to pick it up, eating it at home, this place did not disappoint. Let me start with the menu, everything looked and sounded amazing. Ordered some traditional pork schnitzel, a kase schnitzel and a wurst plate. Next, when I pulled up, pretty unassuming but loved the look of their enclosed patio. Once I walked in though, the ambiance, decor, smells...wow!!! Looking forward to eating in at some point and enjoying the gorgeous patio room! Now let's get to the good part, my drive home was filled with absolute mouth watering smells, my family was amazed I made it home without stopping and doing some taste testing. Everything was spectacular. I do need to specifically point out the kase schnitzel was the greatest meal by far, the creaminess, light hint of lemon... cooked to perfection. If this app would let me give more than 5 stars I'd just keep hitting them until another schnitzel showed up in front of me. Great restaurant. (The waitress who helped us when we got there also deserves 5 stars, super helpful, friendly and definitely had a great vibe)
