No soak before starting, right into a dry scrub with a few dabs of water. Pedi was $30 and an additional $15 for gel... and they didn't even touch my heels since I didn't want the callus remover, the 1/2 ass hot rock massage...and she almost got away with one coat of polish if I hadn't asked for a second coat of polish... whole process took 20 minutes. This is the place u NEVER go. This is my 2nd and last time at this shop. Only 1 in 3 staff can do decent with pedicures and that's the youngest one. The 2 elders are not good at all. I had 2 replacement nails, 1 was replaced crocked the other one was longer than the other. The worst part is the gel polish. The 1st time the gel peeled in 1 day. The 2nd and last time the gel was lumpy and didn't fill the entire nail, the filing was incomplete with lumps and showing the extra product. I will be filling the empty parts myself and going to another shop just for polishing. This was the worst service and polishing in over 20 years. If I can give a negative 0 review I would. I came in for a nail removal and clear manicure. I understand that removing acrylic nails would hurt but she was ripping my actual nail off! When she was going to cut them down she almost clipped my skin. I had to pull my arm back. I then proceeded to tell her that I will just cut my own nails at home and another lady kept grabbing my hand trying to force the other lady to glue my nail back. I had told her ten times that I just want to pay and I will finish cutting my nails at home. They would not let me go. To end it all, she starting filing my nails or well she's supposed to but she's just rubbing the file on my skin which breaks it open and I begin to bleed. He didn't even fully take off my dip powder. He took the easy way out. I didn't get a massage with the manicure. And he didn't even his work clean. Highly disappointed. Worst service ever never returning I have been coming here since I moved here and today I was offered dip nails I was hesitant because I told her I only got them with acrylic nails but not on my bare nails . So, I'm going engagement ring shopping this weekend which means it's a pretty big deal to have my nails looking nice! Fist time here and it's been a busy day so I ended up going in around 5:15pm not knowing whether or not they would still be opened. I saw lights on and people inside so I gave it a shot... I walk in and two staff ladies were sitting. NO customers, TV's off, no music (it was weird)... So I ask "I'm sorry, are you still open?" The older lady replies "what do you need?" And I told her gel polish. French tip. She says okay and motions for me to have a seat. She begins prepping my nails. Filing, buffing... Blah blah blah... Then she gets to removing cuticles and she half asses it. She applied the lotion but barely pushed them back with the pusher!! ... I didn't think much of it... This is the part where I'm usually instructed to go wash my hands... (No?) Instead she wipes the lotion off with a very rough bar towel and then douses my fingertips with alcohol and proceeds to dry them off with , of all things... TOILET PAPER!! (She had a whole roll of it sitting next to her) oh hell no. Yep, so she applies the base coat and has me put my hands under the curing light. My hands are COVERED in toilet paper fibers! Looks like snow under the UV light!! So I pull my hands out and say "hey, there's stuff all over my hands! Why didn't you have me wash them?!" She looks at me like I'm gross for having stuff on my hands and then very rudely says "fine, go wash!" I SHOULD HAVE LEFT at this point... But I wanted my nails finished... At this point I'm really irritated and of course that wasn't the end of it. The lady had gross nails herself and had fibers from the cotton ball she used to remove my initial polish stuck to the edges of her nails. And she was using the edge of her nails to fix any polish she got on my skin. Then she messed up my left thumb and had to remove it after the third coat and redo it from start to finish. It still looks like crap... While my thumb nail is drying, she picks up the nail file she just used on me and starts filling her own nasty nails with it! Gross! As she's finishing up putting on the final top coat, I'm in a hurry to get out of there so while my last coat was drying, I passed her my card to charge me the $32 I was quoted. And she hands me the receipt to sign for $33... Looks like she either insisted on a tip OR she didn't disclose to me that using my Visa would cost a dollar!! So annoyed!! Luckily, my amazing boyfriend said for me to go get my nails fixed at another salon tomorrow, his treat. This place is convenient for me. It's close to home, my gym and tanning salon. That is the only reason I have given this place 4-5 tries. EVERYTIME, they promise they will do my pedicure and manicure at the same time and EVERYTIME they have failed to do so. Instead of telling the truth about the wait time the get you in and sit you down. Then you play the waiting game. When someone finally comes over to start, they try to up sale you (which is totally understandable) and when you tell them no thank you, they do it anyways. It took 2 hours for me to get a quick / express pedicure and gel manicure and I paid $95 plus tip. I didn't enjoy it as I told them I had 40 minutes (I have two littles at home and it's not easy to get away) to do both a gel manicure and pedicure. We were given chairs and a few moments later, they started on my mom's pedicure.
