My first visit to this restaurant I must say the Fried Chicken special was great! The chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside with a good buttermilk batter flavor. Mixed veggies and corn bread was tasty as well. I also tried the Coconut Shrimp which were huge and had a excellent flavor as well. Mike was our server he was delightful! Very pleasant, patient and accommodating. The one thing I would change is the restaurant lighting it was too dark for an afternoon lunch. I would suggest dimming lights for dinner and having brighter lights for lunch. The location I visited was in Spring TX and will visit again and bring others. read more

Really enjoyed my lunch at the Republic Grill. I started with the fried Mac n cheese. Lightly fried with gooey, hot Mac n cheese filling. The dipping sauce took it to the next level. I ordered the pina colada martini, which was strong and sweet. So good! I also got the shrimp tacos. They warn you on the menu they are spicy, so make sure to not get the sauce if you don't like spice. They were filling and flavorful. I enjoyed everything we tried at this restaurant. Me and my wife visited Republic grille as we had read nothing but great reviews and being the foodies we are we had to visit. Upon arrival it was a packed lot but with easy an accessible parking. Though busy that night the service was great. We were seated within seconds and our waiter was very polite and insightful on the menu. First thing I ordered was an American Honey drink, which consisted of whiskey honey and lemon. I had 2 or 3 of those and will have 2 or 3 more when i go back. Started my meal off with a beautiful and flavorful wedge salad that might've been one of the best I've had. For my main entree I went with the grilled chicken and corn chowder. The chicken was cooked perfectly and succulent. The corn however was a bit underwhelming as it lacked seasoning for my liking. I finished up with the banana cheesecake and that took this meal over the top. As you can see in the video it did something to me. Will definitely be going back and trying more things on the menu as well as getting the drink and dessert i had before. Me and my best friend went here the day before thanksgiving. It was packed yet service was great! We made it just in time for happy hour and had several drinks that were delicious. The price was not bad either. I had the chicken marsala and he had the chicken fried chicken. The portions were great and price was perfect. The macaroni and cheese was one of the best I've ever had! Dropped by the new location in Spring today for lunch and was greeted by the most delightful hostess. We felt perfectly welcomed and that was followed by an extremely personable waitress who made our visit a complete delight. The burgers were big and juicy and built to order. Onion rings were plentiful and the coating had flecks of pepper that enhanced their flavor. Now..I don't eat everyone's Mac n cheese and they're definitely at the top of my list now. I could order Mac n cheese from here by itself and eat it. Great meal and customer service! We were greeted and seated at a comfortable booth. Craig came by quickly, and took good care of us throughout the meal. The food was very good; i I've gotten the Woodlands chicken at other locations and it is consistently delicious ,as it was here. I do wish they would make the cornbread more traditional , and less sweet, as it is more like cake, but was tasty. We were welcomed by the manager, Clint, and I enjoyed my conversation with him. In my opinion this restaurant was overrated. The only thing that I enjoyed that I ate was the Mac and Cheese bites. The spinach dip gets a 1/10 from me. It was really watery and the cheese was clumping together. For my main course, I had the grilled shrimp tacos and they were underwhelming. The salsa that came with them had a fishy taste that made it unbearable to eat. My dad had the hamburger and he said it wasn't that hot and more of a colder room temperature. I was told about this place for a while and was definitely not disappointed! We arrived a little before 6:00pm and noticed that there was a good but not crazy amount of people. The atmosphere was very nice and you could easily bring a date or even a family here for a nice evening. Not to mention, the service was absolutely killer. Never have I been so checked up on in my entire life. I thought it would be more suffocating at first, but they're very quick and respectful. The food was absolutely delicious, my girlfriend could not get enough of my "chicken woodlands" dish and we practically scarfed that one down together. I personally wish that the calamari had been cooked a little longer and seasoned more, it just seemed to be lacking that *bite*. But overall, this is an absolute fantastic place. If you're in the area and craving some good food, I whole heartedly recommend trying this place out! Very attentive, helpful in explaining entrees and very timely service. No one rushed us and every server was pleasant, smiling and actually spoke to us. The manager personally visited and treated us very well. Food temperature, presentation and quality was excellent. It's a very family friendly and has plenty of well lit parking. This was our first time we were not disappointed. Prices are reasonable and those seats at seating boots are comfortable. It's a classic southern Texas menu with daily specials. Okra on sundays Everything is on point down to the staff. James is the freaking bomb ass server and owns the menu. Thin yet crispy batter that held onto the flaky fresh cod fish perfectly. Not oily and pipping hot. Their house tartar sauce was paired perfectly with every bite.
