The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but since we had reservations we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu and highlight the nightly specials. In the end, we all decided on the prix fixe menu, which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert--an excellent value considering the quality and generous portion sizes. After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, you'd never guess how large the restaurant actually is. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. There's plenty of parking available, and I'd definitely recommend making reservations, especially on busy nights. Overall, it was a great meal with generous portions, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd happily return

I had the butter poached filet mignon and my husband had the baked seafood trio. The filet mignon was very good. The seafood trio was also good, just a little buttery. This is a very cute, historic restaurant, love the decor. The service l was ok.

We were greeted by Taylor at the hostess station and were shown to or table within minutes of our arrival. Received a beautiful table in the dining room in a corner next to windows which was warm & cozy & very romantic. Mary was our server and we both loved the entire atmosphere & vibe of the restaurant immediately! We ordered cocktails ( both were very good), I got the Seafood Strudel (which was very good, had puff pastry & 2 large Shrimp & inside was sea scallops & crab meat and a nice Newburg sauce, accompanied with whipped potatoes & mixed veggies (EXCELLENT), Gf got the Prime NY Sirloin which was cooked perfectly to her liking also accompanied with whipped potatoes & mixed veggies ( I tried a piece of the sirloin, it was DELICIOUS) girlfriend said it was one of the best steaks she ever had! We weren't offered any gratis dessert (which I thought would have been nice especially since I mentioned it when I made our reservation). Everything was great though and my gf was very pleased so all good!

And we decided to try this weekend when my daughter came with a friend. We will definitely going back. The main complaint is that is hard to get a reservation. We started with calimari. It was pretty, but not exceptional. My wife had the onon soup. For main courses we had the beet and arugula salads, (the arugula with shrimp), the flounder and the crispy salads. The main reason I cam giving the restaurant 5* was the scallops. These were far from the typical fried scallops. They had a like panko coating, served with succotash, and were quite good, even by Cape Cod standards for scallops. The salads are both also very good. Service was attentive and not intrusive. It is a nice old house and has nice ambiance.
