Our server was friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu and highlight the nightly specials. In the end, we all decided on the prix fixe menu, which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert--an excellent value considering the quality and generous portion sizes. After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, you'd never guess how large the restaurant actually is. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. There's plenty of parking available, and I'd definitely recommend making reservations, especially on busy nights. I can specially highlight the breakfast bowl (eggs, bacon, cheese, veggies etc) and the California wrap (turkey, avocado, tomato, cress (sprouts for you Americans)) The breakfast bowl is ridiculous. It's the best breakfast I've had anywhere on the cape. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and generous. The mushrooms wonderfully grilled. The California wrap though...is what inspired this review and why I'm suspicious of Holly's power. Not quite sure how some basic sandwich ingredients can come out tasting like that (12/10!) but I think it's best you keep your secrets Holly, that would be too much knowledge for the world to know.
