The garden setting is just beautiful with lovely views, heat lamps, misters, and overhead awning, and service is friendly and attentive. This time we were lucky enough to have Jeremiah as our server and he gave us very thorough descriptions of the dishes and took great photos of us. Personable and professional service. The service though needs some help, as had to wait a bit for waitress to come to table, would only take drinks at first, not apps, and didn't check in frequently. Came here for dinner on a weekend night and was very impressed! The staff were kind and very helpful and the outdoor seating had a nice vibe overlooking the garden. It is so fun to be with friends wine tasting and extend the experience to fine dining. The restaurant at Ponte fell a little bit short on the fine dining but they did accommodate a large party with outstanding service. The seating outside was beautiful, if not central to all of the traffic passing through the winery and hotel. I ordered the halibut which was served hot, but was very dry. The gnocchi sauce was not flavorful. For the price, I would expect a higher quality of food. read more

Went tonight to enjoy dinner and had the most amazing meal! Husband ordered the sausage pizza and added jalapeños and I ordered the steak and shrimp which was beyond amazing and completely surprised me. While the pizza was very delicious, we actually ended up sharing the steak and shrimp because the Cajun cream sauce was the chef's kiss! It drenched the whole meal with PERFECTION! The steak, shrimp, potatoes and corn were seasoned perfectly and packed with so much flavor, by far my new favorite meal. We already knew we'd come back and order it next time! Extra special thanks to Cassie, the restaurant manager, who was super attentive and Joey our server was very polite and accommodating. Appreciate their staff so much. First time on this winery, and the minute you walked in and going thru the tasting area, it was very nice ambiance already. Going to the restaurant side was even better the reception area was very nice people and we were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and informative. I kind of mentioned my daughters birthday which she doesn't really want me to say anything but then we were surprised that she got little dessert so that was amazing. Missing the Mark: My family and I were looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable first-time experience at Ponte Restaurant, but unfortunately, we left highly disappointed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt rushed. The back waiter quickly dropped off bread and spoke so fast that his words were barely finished before he hurried away. Appetizers and entrées arrived unusually quickly, which made us question whether the food was freshly prepared. Of the three dishes we ordered, only the pizza seemed fresh--likely because it was baked to order. The other meals tasted reheated, with an unmistakably stale flavor. Went here for lunch with some friends to celebrate a birthday. We made reservations a few days prior, so we had no issues with being seated. Appreciated the baskets they give you to place your purses and/or personal items instead of using a chair to hold everything. The wait staff were great; they were professional and knowledgeable. We've been coming here once every few months for the last 2 years or so and we always have a great time! Service is always great and we enjoy the majority of the wines. The sparkling rose is always a hit while it's available and most of the reds are delicious as well. We love the bread here and the brussel sprout appetizer is a must have! Came here on a Saturday with friends for my birthday, and this place did not disappoint! I had the sea pasta and dessert trio, and they were delicious. The sea pasta had a good flavor and was well balanced. I can't recall what was in the dessert trio, but I do recall my friends and I all inhaling it. We started off with the bread loaf and Scallion Oil. The loaf is baked fresh and soft and the Scallion oil compliments it very well. Honestly wanted to like Ponte more because the service provided by Janae was exceptional. The food however fell short for being a winery. The biggest disappointment was the bolognese pasta. It was very dry in sauce and meat. The charcuterie was very good but a bit pricey at $35. The complementary bread was delicious with the sauce. The bread itself is worth coming back. I met my sister and a friend at the Ponte Winery restaurant a few weeks ago and had the most delicious lunch. Our server got slammed with multiple tables wanting to order all at the same time so the manager, Josh, came over and very patiently described items on the menu, answered all our questions and recommended a few appetizers, the calamari and the brussels sprouts, which were delicious, chef's kiss! He guided us through a few wine choices and we all ended up doing a flight. We all just enjoying our wine until our server, also named Josh, was able to come over and take our order. The restaurant served up some of the most yummy tasting dishes, the steak and shrimp kebab, a burger and some crabcakes were devoured. It was refreshing to see all the staff working together and in good spirits, obviously a sign of good management. Well done, we will be back again! read more

For being a more upscale restaurant, one would think that someone would be available to answer the calls. On arriving to Temecula wine country, I decided to grab lunch at Ponte. The restaurant ambiance was Beautiful with misters everywhere helping to keep it cool. I got the salmon cakes for appetizer which were so finely made served with arugula, lemon dressing, I also got the sausage pizza which was very fresh and delicious. The main take away was the sweet red wine, Bellismo red and Late Harvest. I ended up buying 2 bottles to take home as no other wine I tried at the wineries compared! I went back for dinner Saturday night where they had live music (Robert singer). It was very relaxing and family friendly. They allowed me to bring my 8 month old son inside where other wineries/restaurants turned us away saying no kids allowed in on the weekends. The assistant managers, Joshua and Cassie, gave us excellent customer service . The server Joey helped me pinpoint the wine I was looking for exactly. Joshua got us the crème brûlée made in house by their pastry chef after hours. Upon checking out, I went back for the BBQ pizza to go and the cheesecake. Lastly, you must try their focaccia pop up bread with their homemade green onion dip- on fire! I never tasted anything that refreshing. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

We went to have brunch after a hot air balloon ride. The menu had great options for both breakfast and lunch so we all ordered what we were in the mood for. I ordered the eggs benedict which were not traditional but included tomato and spinach. I usually don't like the supped up version but they were delicious. Also, I like my eggs boiled hard and some chefs don't understand that not all people like runny eggs. The eggs were done perfectly. The veggie burger was homemade and really good. We can only say we tried two menu items. The burger was requested to be well done. It was burnt. The bacon was oddly smoky, almost a chemical taste. The sweet potato fries were delicious. The special for the day was fish and chips. Nothing special about them. The fries were hardened and waxy. The wine we chose was on point. Come here for the wines but the food in our experience is hit or miss. Mostly miss when we dined. As far as the service, our waiter was amazing. By the time we got here about lunch time three of us were quite merry as we had swilled seven glasses of wine each at a nearby winery (think it was Wilson's) starting at 10am. Two of our party remained sober to drive two vehicles. Ponte was a superb place. We had wonderful breads to begin with - with very good wine. The whole area is beautiful and calming. The restaurant had a good crowd dining despite it being early on a weekday. The main course that attracted me was the sautéed shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, baby spinach, heirloom tomatoes, linguine and a lemon caper sauce and it was fabulous. Of course it was necessary to consume lots more wine - it aids digestion after all. I must have a heck of a digestive system. Good food, good conversation and great company was making this a lunch to remember while the free-flowing wine and persistent encouragement from our non drinking drivers was threatening to make it a lunch we wouldn't remember much. I'm also around long enough to know that by the time we would get back to San Clemente the rest of the evening would be a blur so time became irrelevant. I must concede that I had dessert, I mean the Ecuador guayaquil chocolate souffle, with vanilla crème anglaise, chocolate sauce, and fresh berries positively had my name on it. And of course despite being truly delightful it needed paired with suitable wines - it would be a sin not too. The staff were caring and genuinely good folks but I was drifting lethe-wards by the time someone said espresso. The next I knew we were at the electric gates of our San Clemente beach house and our drivers had stopped at Chaupain French bakery in town and presented us with a box of goodies to see us through the evening saying as we parted company - see ya 9am for breakfast. I do know that sometime that evening we sampled the goodies with a good glass of Irish malt whiskey each and by 8:30am the next morning we were ready to ramble. I would return to this restaurant in a heartbeat. read more
