Mitch removed a questionable, old-school, gas water heater from inside my home and replaced it with a new Navien gas tankless recirculating water heater on the outside of my home. I also had him do a partial, but nearly complete repipe under the house because of galvanized pipe way past its prime. I did my due diligence as best I could and read up a lot on aspects of the project (brands, pipe type, location, common problems, etc.) and got a few quotes and had lots of questions for everyone. Mitch stood out because he had all the skills (and more) for every aspect of the job himself (including electrical license for electrical work), he was super friendly and helpful- taking time to answer all my many questions. I called Mitch this morning and told him we were having problems with our indoor Noritz tankless hot water heater (continually throwing an error 16 after I descaled it multiple times). He fit us into his schedule this SAME DAY and just left after conducting a full service on our unit. He was incredibly thorough and incredibly knowledgeable. He showed me that our gas pressure was improperly calibrated for our unit and he fixed that. He cleaned several filters and also did a descale using an industrial descaler. We got an outstanding deal from Home Depot on a new a Rinnai tankless water heater, to replace our 18 year-old unit that still worked, but we wanted better efficiency. We then set out to find a Rinnai Pro to install it for us, for the warranty. First struggle was to find a Pro to come out to our house in Jackson because many said we were out of area or wanted to charge $300+ to come out here! Second struggle was to find a Pro who didn't chastise us for making a purchase without going through them, or flat out say they couldn't because of "liability issues," (even though Home Depot is an authorized Rinnai retailer). I found Mitch on the Rinnai Pro network on their website and gave him a call. He was super nice and had no issue with only performing the installation for us all the way in Jackson! His quote was more than reasonable, compared to others we got, and based on his Yelp reviews, we knew we found our guy! We scheduled a date/time to perform the work. He arrived on time, was very professional, and even completed the registration on the unit for us through his Pro Network! His work was meticulous (see photo), and he even painted pipes to match the house! Everything is labeled clearly as well. He rewrapped the pipes with insulation foam wraps and added heavy duty tape to secure them for years to come. He cleaned up all boxes, packing materials, and hauled off the old water heater! Mitch showed a lot of empathy during the work in the house to be minimally disruptive as possible and working long hours during the heater swap to make sure we had hot water that night. He was able to run a gas line under the house, install recirculation lines, switch a 220v outlet to 110v, put in a water catch tray with drain, and run a vent pipe through the attic floor. All the work was done very clean and the craftsmanship of the patching, etc. was very high quality. Mitch is a jack of all trades type and the work easily passed the permit inspection.
