    Steak Tips + Gnocchi
    Brandon E.

Visited Lake George for Labor Day Weekend and was pleasantly surprised with how good their wings were. Early into my LG visit, I tried another restaurants 'Award Winning' Chipotle Bacon Wings. After trying Charlie's (very unique!) Raspberry Habanero wings, I recommend that the Award Committee reconsider the award recipient to Charlie's!! Unique, delicious, with a kick. Couldn't stop thinking of them! The Calamari, Flat Iron Steak, and Tenderloin Tips + Gnocchi were also really good, but the wings were the star for me. Service was great as well, and they were able to answer all the questions I had (sorry for being so annoying - promise I'm not that picky!!) Highly recommend, even if it's just for the wings! Although it's not needed, Good luck Charlie's!!

Chicken & sausage a la vodka

We stayed at the Marriott for a conference, we got in late so most things were closed so we ordered to go and brought it to the room. We got the Chicken & sausage a la vodka and the BBQ Mac and cheese. We wish the person who took our order warned us about the size, we each got one to share and they each could actually feed probably 4 people. The container were also too big to fit in the small refrigerator so we had to throw it away. The bread sticks were over cooked. The food itself was okay, I definitely would recommend going somewhere else because everywhere else we ate was much better and lower priced.

We went here for a sit-down breakfast and it has a great view. We opted to sit inside, and it is actually part of the hotel. Our waitress was excellent. I have small children, and she was very patient with them. My 4-year-old stated this was his favorite breakfast place, which is a huge compliment. They did not have kids French toast so he ordered the adult size and proceeded to eat all of it. I ordered an omelet and it was excellent. A great breakfast spot!

Grilled chicken sandwich and jack daniels burger

We went to Charlie's as soon as we got in Thursday morning for lunch and were seated quickly. Disappointed they didn't have cocktails yet as they wouldn't have a bartender until 4pm for dinner, but got over it. My boyfriend had the jack daniels burger and I had the grilled chicken sandwich both were very good and a good size too. Loved the outdoor seating just wished they spaced us out between tables. Difficult to have a conversation without overheating everything the table to the right and left were saying.

This Lake George restaurant is located in the hotel. I'm glad it was because I didn't need my coat. We visited in the offseason so we didn't really need to use open table. The food was amazing!!! Just wow. The nachos were so good. Wish this place was closer. Hubby loved his burger Staff was very friendly Cool bar area If we are in the area we will definitely go back.

So truly enjoyed the many lival shops and restaurants around lake george. But one stands out for such great food and service and that is Charlies! Both my wife's Chicken Marsala and my chicken parm was exceptional! Tucked inside the Marriott courtyard so don't miss it.

All I am saying is everyone on our table enjoyed their food enough where all we did was offer food to each other. The french onion soup was good. Filled with softly cooked onions & oregano in the broth which gave it a unique flavor compared to others. I ordered a swordfish, rest of family had a burger, salmon & a salad. My first couple bites were dry but ended on a good note. Enjoyed the cajun flavor and the rice and vegetables filled the plate up. I ordered a Affogato for dessert and it was outstanding! Everyone at the table had a bite and had that look as if they should have ordered one. For a hotel restaurant this is a good one. I can vouch that a lot of these reviews are accurate. I can see how some people think the staff is poor; my aunt wasn't thrilled with the bar tender, although the host was very friendly to us as well as our server. The wait time can very. It took a while to get our table but we were in no rush and enjoyed drinks at the bar table and good conversation. Be sure to call and make a reservation. I would come back and try their breakfast. Making an effort to try new places every time I come and visit the area but would do dinner again too.

    Pecan crusted chicken salad

Stopped in for lunch and sat outside on the patio. The chairs were actually pretty comfortable and our waitress was helpful. I had the almond crusted chicken sandwich which was tasty. I would definitely recommend stopping in and trying that out if you're in the area and looking for food.

    Our server Jack

Jack was an amazing server, friendly, attentive, and made the night even better. Plus, he was cute and had a nice tush!

All the staff ensured we had a great dining experience

We're locals, and there are not a lot of options for dinner and drinks in the off season. But the service at Charlie's is beyond terrible.

There's plenty of TVs showing all kinds of sports, a very good selection of beer. There's an innovative menu with interesting choices for kids and adults alike. Filet Mignon sliders get my top vote, as the medium rare cut was flavorful and juicy. French Onion soup was very good due to outstanding broth, but not the greatest due to choice of cheese. The crispy chicken wrap was above average, with good flavor, but needed some more acidity for better balance. The wings were very well done, as they should in a pub. The only weird thing was the server, who was a bit absent minded (or under the influence). Despite obvious impairment, he described the menu choices for us accurately and got our drink orders straight. We did need to repeat some things a couple of times, but that may have been due to the busy pace of the evening.

We sat outside the 1st night and got to watch the fireworks from our table. We also have a dog so they were very considerate of that and even gave her ice and water. This is a must go when in Lake George. The 2nd night we sat inside (no dog) and enjoyed some good music.

The menu is massive, and so you should easily be able to find something for everybody...unless that person is looking for something super healthy. The Lagoon has burgers, and pizza, and lobster boats, and fish and chips, and four kinds of mac and cheese, and the appetizer list consists of all the things, fried: brussels sprouts, mozzarella wedges, wings, and more. We ordered all three of those fried things I mentioned to start, buffalo mac and cheese, a pizza, fish and chips, a cheesesteak, chicken fingers and a Greek salad. Our server was super bubbly and brought us all the sauces and drinks and everything else we asked for. It isn't going to blow you away with their culinary innovation, but The Lagoon hits a certain spot, and can seat your whole party with a view. I'd do it again.

Ordered was the poutine, a turkey club, and the hot buttered lobster roll. I came here for the poutine, a previous review had been very complimentary. I was underwhelmed, the gravy was thin, the cheese and tenderloin scarce. I will give the fries credit, crispy and seasoned, they were a solid base. Being so close to Canada, I'd expect better. The club was loaded up with dry turkey and not enough mayonnaise to help balance that out, but again the tots were crispy and seasoned so they were a gem, possibly the best thing here (and that's not a compliment because they're clearly a prepackaged product). The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.
