The bartenders know what they're doing, and you can tell they care about the experience. Food-wise, this is where they separate themselves from typical happy hour spots. The appetizers aren't just filler--they're restaurant-quality dishes. The calamari is crisp (not greasy), the flatbreads are loaded but balanced, and everything comes out with attention to detail. The atmosphere is a huge win. It's not loud or chaotic--you can actually have a conversation, network, or just decompress after a long shift. Service is attentive without hovering, and the crowd tends to be a good mix of laid-back professionals and locals who know they found a solid spot. Bottom line: Erini's happy hour feels like a hidden gem--elevated, consistent, and worth making part of your weekly routine.

We got beat salad as an appetizer and then I ordered grouper. It was absolutely so delicious and tasted so fresh and all the textures were exciting and flavorful and absolutely so delicious. Both the beat salad and the grouper. Very beautiful and tasty. I saw they had rice pudding as a dessert so I ordered that and split it with my BFF. Cold and creamy. Yum. Very grateful to everybody who worked so hard and took care of us all. Thanks, all the hard-working people who nourished us from the sea /seed to the table. Thank you so much.

They recently acquired MD brewery DuClaw as well and continue to brew their beers and distribute under the same name. They distribute widely across NJ, PA, NY so it's pretty easy to find at liquor stores and restaurants, and I've had their beers many times over the years. Their beer is pretty solid with some fun and inventive offerings. My girlfriend and I stopped into their taproom for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite possibly the worst taproom we've ever been to out of 80+ NJ breweries we have visited together. It looks like they concentrate all of their time and effort on production and distribution and have not spent any time creating a decent place to hang out. Almost no decor. All plastic cups (a personal pet peeve of mine in breweries). Not even a permanent bar of any kind. There were only four other people the whole time we were there so the atmosphere was pretty dead. We ordered flights, and the names of the beers were written in abbreviations right on the cups which made it impossible to read on the darker beers. But the beer was very good! We really enjoyed our flights and bought a six pack of the imperial pumpkin ale to bring home with us. We'll continue to drink their beer, but I don't recommend coming to the taproom at all.

I will stop in on occasion to fill a growler or grab some cans to go but would not want to spend any time here. A basic remodel would change the game or at a minimum a cleaning and fresh coat of paint wouldn't hurt either.

Our service was excellent. Our server, Dawn was a rare mix of professional attention and service and a very peppy and sunny personality. We noticed that everyone seemed really happy to be working there. We can be high maintenance but she never skipped a beat with a big serving of "happy you're here" !! We spent a bit of time at the bar and found it to be a really fun kind of bar. We highly recommend this lovely historic Inn ....

We ordered a pierogi appetizer to share and some holiday cocktails to start. For entrees we had pork chops that were cooked to perfection and served over a sweet potato purée with a blackberry gastric. We also had the 7 fishes over linguine offered in red, white, hot or hot. I chose red hot. It was delicious with calamari, shrimp, lobster, mussels, clams, and fish. The penne vodka with sausage and peas was also delicious and a generous portion. The salmon dish was also excellent but had barely any risotto and 6 string beans. Overall, Blooming Grove is a favorite of our extended family and we visit fairly often. The only room for improvement is the portion size of some of the dishes in comparison to others.

I couldn't stay long, so I didn't get to try the food, but I saw that they seemed to have a pretty good happy hour food deal on a burger for Thursdays. Pretty clean inside, and overall it's a nice spot, but the bathroom is quite a walk from the main bar! Looks like they have a lot of room in there potentially for private parties and such too, which is cool. We had a table in the corner near the front door, which wasn't in very clear view of the waitstaff, so it was a bit hard to get their attention, though once they had our attention, the server was very friendly and helpful. I'd return for another try, and might plan a future happy hour after work there! It's only about ten minutes from the office.

This was formerly yet another of their restaurants called Union Boil which we weren't a fan of. The name Pennytown pays homage to the original name of the town. There is an English Pub motif and a cozy feel inside. We came to try their happy hour and it far exceeded our expectations. We tried the white bean hummus, the fried cauliflower, and the zucchini Frite. These were not frozen typical bar food apps. They were definitely hand cut from fresh veggies and so delicious. We must have said wow with every bite. During happy hour, weekdays between 4-6 there's a nice selection of apps for half price and drinks and wines were only $5. Service was also great and the appetizer portions were so big, two of us ended up not being able to even finish them. Our bill was $30 for 3 giant and delicious apps, and 3 drinks. Where can you get that these days? We will definitely be frequenting this happy hour and trying some other things on the menu as well. The bar pies looked delicious and they had some nice specials posted on the blackboard too.
