This place was ok. We had dinner here while staying at the adjoining motel. It wasn't actually late, maybe 7pm, but they were out of a lot of things and tables that were already empty still had spills etc. they cleaned up promptly to accommodate our group. There was a good amount of seating, a coffee bar and service was nice. Prices are pretty fair. The food was so-so. Basic sandwiches, Mac and cheese with brisket (a little overcooked), steak (Also a bit overcooked for how my friend requested it) and breakfast food eg eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast. It took a long time to come out even though most of the other guests who were there had already left. I know the food is cooked fresh but felt like it was probably understaffed. If there's something you want, I'd order from the start. Overall, ok experience, mostly for convenience to the lodging.

The coziest diner. Loved watching the snow fall as we had Christmas dinner. Our waiter was friendly and did a great job serving the whole busy restaurant all by himself. I ordered the BLT and it was amazing, cooked perfectly with a good amount of bacon. Everybody at our table was happy with their meals. We ordered coffee and shakes to go after our meals, our kids loved the milkshakes and if we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stop by again.

Hotel Lodge was very cozy and comfortable.

Had the from the farm burger and fries. It was one of the best burgers I've had in some time. Huge burger and very juicy. Came back for breakfast the next morning and helpings are big and everything we had was made with love. We appreciated the service and hospitality from staff.

Beautiful little restaurant option to eat inside and outside. The young gentleman waiting the tables was the absolute best! He was so friendly! the whole kitchen staff was as well. Open the menu saw "breakfast nachos" So I had to order them! So glad I did. They were delicious.! He ordered The pancakes, ham and eggs he said they hit the spot.

The place is warm and inviting inside. Staff / owner very friendly. Great menu and the food was fabulous. Unfortunately they were out of ham for my husband's breakfast so he opted for bacon. Not going to go down a star just for that - it's NYE. Will come again ! Prices are very reasonable.

Delicious breakfast Off Highway 80 - The Rustic Table Restaurant. It's hard to believe I've been driving past this place for many years without noticing it. Today we finally stopped by -- and what a pleasant surprise! We were received with a beautiful welcome income in. The service was great from the minute we walked in. I had the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, and it was phenomenal. Packed with chorizo, fries, onions, peppers, and cheese, it had just the right amount of that chorizo grease to give it flavor without being too heavy. Hands down, one of the best breakfast chorizo burritos I've ever had. We also tried the BLT sandwich, which was simple but well-executed -- crispy bacon, cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato, and nicely toasted bread. Sometimes simple is best, and this hit the spot. The hot black coffee was strong and bold, creamer and sugar. Just what I needed to start the day right. The location might throw you off at first -- it's tucked away near Highway 80, and the road leading in looks a bit sketchy (lol), but don't let that stop you. This place is a true hidden gem. Chorizo breakfast burrito Highly recommend checking it out!

Food was good, pancakes were fluffy and delicious. I got chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and zucchini. We don't eat pork so my husband asked for chicken instead of sausage or bacon as a side to breakfast eggs and they happily substituted it with no extra charge . Food was hot and delicious. However, we had to wait for over 45-50 minutes for it, maybe they wear short staffed in the kitchen? Diner was not at full occupancy may be half full. Will we come back to it? Definitely yes but only if we have ample time to spare because I know they take their time to prepare it. Our server was polite and we can see that he was super busy running around.

Food was the best American breakfast! Had the country fried stake & eggs, the gravy was the best I've had! BBQ burger hit the spot. The service was top tier! He was so sweet and kind, great conversation! Won my 2 years olds heart. We sate next to the window and had the best view of a cozy wood snow world. The inside was so cozy felt like a hug.

If I lived in Emigrant Gap, I would have breakfast here every weekend. Food is delicious, coffee is amazing, and the service is the very best. Teen Challenge doing it right!

The young man Jarrod, waiting the tables gave us a 10/10 experience. He was so extremely friendly from the very beginning. The food was delicious!! we came from a Tahoe trip and this restaurant was our favorite food experience on the entire trip. Highly recommended this place!

You've got a lot of nerve asking that question. I told her fine, keep it. I won't be back. You get paid to take orders and bring then to the front. Tipping is when you serve a table. Somehow it got to where everyone wants a tip now, and it's annoying. I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change, and they too asked for a tip. That dog don't hunt. I won't go back there either. Seems you should be thankful we gave you our business. Everyone is tired of it. Pretty soon people will stop tipping altogether if you keep abusing our gratuitous nature. Watch and see. We arrived a little early for our reservation and were taken to the bar to wait until our table was ready. Word to the wise, make a reservation as the place gets packed! My only small nit is that I wish the bread was warm. *Stonefruit salad - this was delicious and very fresh *Scallops - absolutely delicious and perfectly seared and cooked! One thing I'll note is that the scallops are very very pricey at over $60 for 5-6 of them. I know it's super fresh and delicious, but this felt like it was overpriced. *Blintzes - we decided to finish with the blitzes for dessert, and these were delicious. It was THE BEST Tri-Tip I've ever had; cooked to perfection, with a tasty (I think) red wine reduction sauce. Not sure if this is served daily, because I couldn't find it on their regular menu. We were there on a Saturday. I do see on the menu that they have a tri-tip salad, and am betting it would be equally delicious. The fried foods were cooked perfectly too, the breading was light and airy, and they weren't overly oily. I've had far too many meals at restaurants where the chefs neglect to change the oil frequently enough. You could tell that this place used good quality, fresh oil. The drinks were a bit pricey; around $12 per shot or drink. The bar atmosphere is fun; there's unique stickers and dollar-bill artwork scattered around. The staff is down-to-earth and friendly. The food was very reasonable though. Considering 1 nasty fast-food burger now costs $10, I didn't mind paying $24 for the Tri-Tip that came with mashed potatoes and veggies; plus the leftovers fed me again the next day. Don't judge a book by it's cover - this restaurant is situated on tall wooden stilts (probably because of deep winter snow), and it looks a bit shabby. I can only imagine how the snow and wind take their toll on a restaurant situated on a mountain summit! The food, ambiance, view, servers, and bar completely make up for the lack of outward fanciness. Two staircases lead up to the restaurant. Am not sure if it's ADA friendly, and I forgot to check if there is an elevator. The indoor portion of the restaurant is enclosed with large windows, so no matter where you sit, you can see the beauty of nature around you. Outdoor seating is ample, and has fantastic views.
