This is one of the few restaurants open on Monday at the Lake, in December anyway. It;s a very nicely decorated and clean little place that even has a bar, so I would assume they take their breakfast drinks seriously. We had a breakfast quesadilla and biscuits and gravy. They were both really good. The quesadilla was pretty much a standard American version, so don't come looking for authentic Mexican. It was delicious, though, which is the first requirement for us. We (3 people) went to this restaurant for the first time. The interior of the place was clean and pleasing to look at. We ordered 2 blackened steak salads and a pork tenderloin. The salads were simply a large bowl of romaine lettuce with a couple of cherry tomatoes and steak. The steak was so tough that it couldn't be cut with the knife provided. When there was a piece that could be cut, it was very difficult to eat. The pork tenderloin was coated in panic breadcrumbs. At the time of this post the inside of my mouth is shredded. It would have also taken a NASA engineer to measure the thickness of the pork center. Basically a breading sandwich. We did let the server know that the beef wasn't fit to eat. She smiled and said, "I guess you don't need any to-go boxes". Real nice. Dont eat lunch at this place!! $12.00 salads, sad! read more

It's always a pleasant surprise when you walk into a restaurant and they seem happy to see you. We were greeted warmly by the owner and quickly show to our table. Although we are locals, we don't get down to this end of town because we have a couple of good place down our way. But my wife says that this will be our new place. Our server Michelle was friendly, professional and on point. Our food arrived in a timely manner and Michelle checked on us often. My wife ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and she said it was the best version she's had in a long time. My ham and cheese omelet was perfect and our hash browns were crispy as requested.
