Highly recommend for anyone in the Riverside\LA areas. The parking is the only thing you need to drive around for but there are plenty of street parking and garages. Casual, classy, slightly hipster atmosphere with some very creative cocktails and a decent selection of craft beers. On the ocassion I was here they happened to have Pliney the Elder and Pliney the Younger (rare) on the menu. We were just grazing and had the "Dirty Fries", hand cut fries with a delicious English cheddar sauce and sprinkled with confit garlic and chives. Came here for lunch. Had the Cold Sub with the dirty fries which was excellent, but the award goes to the house-made ketchup, a mixture of tangy, sweet, and spicy. This place does not take reservations. There was a 30 min wait on a Thursday night. We walked around and came back after receiving a texted. Idk if they were a little slammed because they were busy. But it took us a while to be acknowledged when we sat down. At least ten minutes. We were close to walking out but glad we didn't because the food was really good. I had to breakfast Chilaquiles with pork belly, they were off the chain. Plenty of flavor the red sauce was well seasoned had looked kicked to it. The chips were nice and crunchy and pork belly was on point. It was top with some sliced radishes and pickled onions so good. I tried the bloody Mary, which was also on point. Been here twice, cute interior and trendy place to eat. They have a rotating menu which keeps it fun. Also seasonal cocktails - my fave was the pink elephant. As for the current summer menu, I enjoyed the snow peas (it's as good as it looks) and the grilled peach salad. This place has all the pieces to be a delicious and great experience but misses the mark. Came for brunch on a Saturday around noon and there was no wait to be seated. The brunch menu is relatively small but has a decent selection of sweet and savory staples. We went with the PBLT and Juevos. For a place with "salted" in its name everything was severely under seasoned. The pork belly in the sandwich was a bit tough and didn't melt in your mouth like the good stuff should. Happy the sandwich came with a side of potatoes because if we had paid the $8 they were charging for the side of soggy potatoes we received we would have been quite disappointed. The juevos was prepared well, but again it was like they used zero salt or pepper on anything. It took a bit too long for our food to come out of the kitchen (almost 30 minutes) and our water glasses tasted like soap. Service was friendly, but the service does not make a meal. For the prices, difficulty of parking and overall experience I wouldn't really recommend coming here. Maybe dinner is better, but we probably will not be back. read more

They brought me my samich and fries without ketchup, cuz you know, that makes so much sense. The samich was tasty. The fries didn't have much cheese on it, and most of it sank to the bottom below the tower of fries. Nothing special about the fries in my opinion. My gf enjoyed her steak and potatoes. A couple weeks ago my friend and I ate here for the first time. I was surprised and disappointed. I had been wanting to try The Salted Pig for years after hearing about how good it is. I visited on a Sunday at 5pm and was seated immediately. Note: we were sat outside since the inside was "completely booked." If you'd like to sit inside I would recommend calling ahead or making a reservation. We visited for my cousin's birthday weekend. We ordered the MSG burger with a side salad, the classic burger with Mac n cheese and a side of the twisted fries. The beef patties were delicious. I think they might be pressed in house. But am not 100%. This was definitely a good burger. The MSG burger has bacon, is really thick cut and not really crispy but has great flavor. I loved the coleslaw that it comes with. My cousin kept complementing the beef patty on the classic burger. The buns are brioche buns and very filling. The salad was very flavorful thanks to the dressing. The mac n cheese tasted very simple and homemade which I appreciated. I usually love all mac n cheese but this was classy, I liked it. The fries were delicious! They had melted cheese and garlic aioli which had whole pieces of garlic as well. Overall I think I will come back again if I'm in the area. A couple suggestions on what to get: the Pig Board is AMAZING! If you like charteurie boards, you need to get this! Their candied bacon and mostarda is to die for! Perfect sweetness and crispyness. And it's not just these, there is so much variety on the board and everyone loved everything on it. We also got the steak of the day, the butternut squash tagliatelle, and the rainbow radish and pear salad which is super refreshing and sweet to balance the heavy meal. The interior is so modern and clean. Love the design and every detail. The staff was really good about COVID precautions. I see them sanitizing every menu after every use. They didn't have one of the options I wanted, but the waiter recommended a different option. I ended up ordering oyster mushrooms, bone marrow, beef short rib, and duck tamales. It's been a while since we have been here. The Salted Pig got new bar stools-yay! Very comfy. Make sure to check in with the front so they can seat you at the bar. I have always been impressed with the staff here. Our bartender made a beautiful and delicious Hendricks traditional martini tonight-frozen glass and lemon rind twist over the drink. As usual, we got the sweet, salty, smokey Bacon Popcorn-a must here! We also had Caesar salad and Mac and cheese-both delicious. I've been to their old location years ago, and had brunch here at the present location last Sunday. I had the PBLT, which came with choice of fruit, salad or fries (I got fries of course). The bread was buttery, pork belly wasn't too fatty, and it was a delicious sandwich but very filling. My friend had the endive salad, which sadly she didn't really appear to enjoy; and her kids had the French toast and kid's breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast and bacon). They offer a kid's menu in addition to the regular brunch menu. The kids' meals looked tasty, and the fruit (blueberries & blackberries) appeared fresh as well. Food is still good but the Menu use to be larger and more pig related I should say. Service is okay but the front were pretty rude a night we came in so we had to try it during the day and the gentlemen was nicer. Ambiance is cute and a pretty large place now since they moved locations. Kinda sad they no longer have the Bacon Ice Cream and Bone Marrow is more of a Dinner Menu. I recommend getting here early enough for Dinner and not too late where they don't want to seat 2 people for the least even at the Bar. visiting this establishment was not disappointing. i came in on a friday night and there was no wait. having just changed their menu last week, there was not much to go off of in terms of recommended dishes on yelp. i went with what sounded good, and what sounded good was very, very good. we ordered the charred octopus, white bean salad, and rosemary sourdough for starters. for mains we went with the falafel pita, halibut fillet, and the cavatelli. my only qualm with the food was the charred octopus. with an uneven char, parts of the bite remained squishy and almost tasted a bit raw. i would have preferred to been served a more charred dish to ensure this didn't happen, but i understand the octopus shriveling into rambunctious shapes makes it difficult to navigate an even sear. the falafel in the pita also could have been a bit more crumbly, imo, and i would have liked it doused in a bit more tzatziki (personal preference). however, the rest of the dishes i enjoyed with no protestation. cavatelli was absolutely delicious, and the halibut was tender and mixed well with the mash and veggies. the whipped charred tomato butter paired with the sourdough was a delight i didn't know i needed tonight. in terms of ambiance, it is upscale casual, and it's definitely a medium end restaurant in terms of pricing. however, the portion sizes are sufficient enough for me to hold my tongue. if you're looking to splurge anywhere in downtown riverside for a night, i highly recommend the salted pig. read more

What a great find! We were in the area and stayed at the mission hotel.. so glad we stumbled upon this place! Excellent coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice!
