I have been working with Kelsey and Beverly as both a consignor and shopper for just over five…read moreyears now, and there is no one better than them. I previously consigned with a larger, national brand in the city and had multiple bad experiences, the culmination of which was them literally stealing a bag from me. That would NEVER happen here. Kelsey's combines high powered expertise and reach with small business personal touch. Items I drop off are meticulously tracked, and receipts/pricing is sent for my approval usually within minutes of me leaving. I've sold many designer bags, shoes and pieces of clothing with them and have never had issues with their pricing or payouts. I'm very knowledgeable of the market myself and we always see eye to eye on pricing. You can collect your balance at the beginning of each month and they'll have a check ready and waiting for you. Despite absolutely having the knowledge and ability to resell my pieces myself, I choose to work with them because it's such a great experience from beginning to end. Their payouts are at a higher percentage than what I have seen elsewhere, but even if they weren't - I'd still choose to consign with them. Not to mention, they're super fun and just great women to know. I can't recommend them enough!

Beautifully curated! Bright and very well lit! Only the…read morecrème de la crème- you will not find gap sweatshirts here;) This is the luxury brands! Sadly I found some non-luxury pieces in their jewelry section: a Kendra Scott necklace next to a wrap bracelet is an odd pairing. Their shoe selection is STELLAR- find your size and go! The gals are always welcoming and friendly - no matter if you're having a bad hair day;) Their prices reflect the luxury pieces. This is not a "priced to move" shop. This is an upscale resale shop. Happy shopping!

Controlled Chaos - Great Japanese pressing of a classic mid 50's jazz record!

This is a solid record/vintage store in the Bolingbrook Promenade. The owner, Josh, was very…read morefriendly and asked if I needed any help. The selection of records was decent but a little small. I found a few punk albums and they were decently priced. I'd def stop back!

This store is in a super cool spot. Right in the middle of the promenade it feels hidden, but in…read morethe best way possible. The aesthetic of the store is also awesome. Records everywhere, well-organized, catalogued in a way that's convenient and easy to find. Their selection is also amazing! I saw quite a few things there I have not see anywhere else. In terms of pricing, everything is pretty fair, dare I say a steal. They had a super rare bootleg for $100, having collected for a while that is a STEAL. I just wish the staff was nicer. The guy working was helpful, I won't deny that. However when I asked for records by a specific artist I like, his first response was to insult them pretty heavily for a controversy they got in nearly a decade ago. Now I am not a para social person--I do not hold personal investment in the perceptions people have on things I like. However I found the comments to be contradictory and rude. The store sells records by the likes of the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin--two bands I love, but two bands who are not free from controversy themselves. This immediately ruined my experience and I really hate saying that. I put down what I was going to purchase and I left. In my opinion, a response as simple as "I'm sorry, we don't carry anything by them," would have been suitable. Three stars. Cool store, great selection, good value. Unfortunately I just had a terrible personal experience there.

I have frequented this place numerous times and have had the blessing of seeing it grow, rearrange and expand. Once I was in there and a worker there was so kind and helpful and even gave me a deal on the two chairs that I purchased. The most recent visit was just the opposite. No one to help or greet. I asked a question and was treated not only like I was stupid but said, "Here's the stairs right here", like I'm some sort of imbecile. I proceeded to want to check out and two workers were too busy complaining and I stood there and waited until they were done. Then when I gave my card she starts to tell me that my card wasn't accepted but then realized she put it in upside down. No apology just again an attitude. I spent over $50 and I didn't know that as a customer I'm such a burden. Take my advice hire friendly people who work only the floor to help customers if you're too busy to help and answer questions. I will still go but there are other shops in the area that I may consider visiting before I'll go back again.

I walked around went upstairs. And still nothing. When I walked by the desk not a hello or even acknowledgement. I did see some stuff I wanted to buy, but I did pass. I can look for these things at other places. I am not a fan of giving my money to people that don't want it. So try marketplace or eBay.
