We had an exceptional lunch here. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and were helpful explaining the process of creating a bowl (or choosing one of their signature bowls from the menu. The ingredients were super fresh, beautiful, and delicious. There are some tables inside and outside, though not too many. Most folks seem to get to-go orders though, so even during the lunch rush there were some seats available. The restaurant was nice and clean both inside and out. We've had a lot of poke bowls in a lot of locations, and this definitely stood out as one of the best we've had. Definitely give them a try! read more

My first time having a poké bowl and it was really good!! The firecracker bowl was delicious. Came with ahi tuna, sriracha aioli, scallions, cucumber, togorashi, sesame seeds, onion crisps, and I added on cabbage slaw, red onion, and seaweed strips... everything was on top of brown rice (you could also choose white rice, zoodles, etc). So good. Everything tasted very fresh. The land lovers bowl was great too with local chicken, pineapple teriyaki sauce, cucumber, gochujang mushrooms, pineapple, scallions, onion crisps, and added jalapeño peppers. Oh, also, both bowls were "regular" size and I thought they came with a substantial amount of food! I was very full after eating mine. The premium açaí bowl was so refreshingly delicious. I split it with my SO but honestly could have happily eaten one all to myself!! Açaí topped with banana, strawberries, blueberries, GF granola, drizzle of honey and added on almond butter. I was so excited to hear Poké was coming to Williston. Poké is a Hawaiian dish that can have fresh raw fish, sometimes with marinated veggies, over sushi rice, pineapple, red cabbage. I love that many places today are branching out and using quinoa, veggie noodles, etc. as awesome rice substitutions for those looking to go more low carb. I ordered the Firecracker Bowl with 1/2 spicy salmon and 1/2 spicy tuna, zoodles (zucchini noodles) plus a ton of toppings. I also ordered the smoothie bowl. Both were freaking fantastic. I chose to eat the Smoothie Bowl the next day, so I froze it when I came home. The owner is really nice and staff are super friendly and helpful. Seattle has a LOT of poke, so the bar was set high for this little place in Burlington. Overall, I was happy! They have lots of options to choose from and you can easily customize your bowl depending on your mood that day. We went around lunch on a weekday and it took longer than I would have liked to get the food, but the staff was so nice and I overall thought it was a good value for the amount of food we got. It's a wonderful place in summer because the majority of seating is outside. If you're going in cooler weather, I would plan I'm taking it to go as seating inside is limited. There's lots of parking nearby and it's a great, fresh addition to the same old chains that have been in the area forever. read more

Had an interesting experience in this restaurant. I have dined at The Scale with my husband in the past but the last time we went this past week the staff was unpleasant. I was unsure what I wanted and the young lady serving me snapped at me and then began making something else and I was told to wait to order until she was done. The staff was impatient with serving me and ruined the experience. I used to like The Scale, but I probably won't be back after this...too bad. I was having trouble finding safe gluten free places to eat but was lucky enough to end up staying around the corner from The Scale. The entire team was amazing and super nice about accommodating gluten free safely, and they followed all the appropriate precautions. And it was SO yummy! We ended up going there both nights we were in town. Furthermore, their takeout game is strong---we don't eat indoors anymore at restaurants since Covid, so it was lovely being able to get good takeout so easily. I already miss The Scale!! read more

I fell in love with poke bowls when I got married in Hawaii last year. Super happy to have this restaurant close enough to drop in for lunch. I created a custom bowl online (such a convenient option!) - Salmon, brown rice, and a variety of veggies. Ordered the regular size, which is a very generous portion. The salmon was really fresh. Next time I'll order extra teriyaki sauce for even more flavor. My only (mild) criticism - The rice was a bit dry & bland. The only reason I'm not giving top marks is because they didn't have as much to offer as this spoiled poké-lover has come to expect: no crab salad, no marinated flavors, etc. Also, a number of the items that are usually included were extra $, so the "usual stuff" was more expensive here. I got a make your own poke bowl with rice, zoodles, tofu, cucumber, onion, nori, roasted beets, Asian slaw, gochujuang mushrooms, edamame, pickled peppers and pickled ginger in the vegan firecracker sauce. The food was delicious. The firecracker sauce did have a strong kick to it, so I was glad I got the pickled vegetables since their acidity helped balance my taste buds a little. The portion size was great too; a regular bowl was large enough to last me two meals. I placed my order on their website, got confirmation email saying it'd be ready in 15 minutes. It took me about 18 mins to drive to the restaurant, and my order was waiting in a to-go bag. They had a counter outside their main entrance where you can place orders or pickup takeout due to COVID, but as soon as I walked up, a staff member came up and asked my name to find my order. The service was good and the Covid protocol wasn't easy to navigate. I'd definitely recommend The Scale and will probably be getting takeout from them again in the future! read more

I'm going with three stars over two because of the super super friendly staff and the awesome gluten free options. The bowl was alright, but definitely had some fishiness which is always a downer. Most of the salmon was good - tuna was alright (some really fishy). Nice toppings - all standard for Poke. What I can't wrap my head around is the pricing. I know we aren't on the West Coast (where a large poke bowl is max 12/13 bucks), but $21.50 for a large bowl because I added tobiko is a bit steep. Even the chain places are max $15. I can't thank the staff enough for their focus on food allergies and safety - they changed gloves, pulled from fresh cut veggies versus what was out (and potentially contaminated with gluten).
