Found this place through Yelp, and what a find it was! It's quite large for a breakfast spot and kinda tucked in the corner of a small shopping center. I ordered their waffles, which came with eggscand bacon. It was really, really good! So good that I forgot to take a picture! My wife ordered eggs benedict with ham, and again, it was so good that it was gone before I could take a picture! The service was fantastic and the young lady was very sweet that helped us, so much that she received a smile on the check thanking her for being so nice!! Ordered carry out over the phone; Bella was terrific. We had the Ultimate Omelet and the Pork Chop Breakfast. Everything was delicious! I really liked the country gravy that came with the chops. The sausage gravy was OK but as someone else here pointed out the roux wasn't cooked enough so it tasted of raw flour - an unnecessary shortcoming that really stands out considering how well everything else is prepared. The pork chops were juicy and flavorful, altho it would have been helpful to have been warned about the breading on the menu. Eggs were done exactly as ordered and the link sausages were great. Breakfast places are popping up like hot cakes in the last month, and why not. People love their breakfast, and judging by the wait times they are doing well. My wife a I have been here several times but finally have the chance to review. Obviously we enjoy the food or we would not have come back this many times. The menu is pretty basic but that doesn't mean it's bad. You have every typical breakfast staple you could want. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable and the service is spot on. You need to get here earlier as this hidden gem is getting more and more popular. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a chance. I think you will like it. read more

Despite some signs of wear and tear, The Scrambler House is a cute local spot. Our wait was pretty standard and honestly not that bad for a Sunday brunch, 15 to 20 minutes. Our food was pretty decent. The menu seemed to focused heavily on the fresh biscuits and gravy. While the biscuits were very good, the gravy didn't stand out to me, more on the bland side. Then again I'm a biscuit and gravy enthusiast! The pancakes on the other hand were that old fashioned pillowy goodness you'd come to expect from a diner experience. I wish there were more syrup options though that just Mrs. Butterworth. Sausage patties were good and scrambled eggs were decent (scrambled with cheese I thought meant at the same time vs placed on top, but they were fine). Outside of the pancakes, the star of the show is definitely their home fries. Crispy yet soft, perfectly seaoned, 100% delicious! Lastly, even if you don't come for the food, the service is great. We were greeted with smiling faces and wished a good weekend upon leaving. Servers were attentive but not hovering, checking to make sure we had everything we need. 1:30pm brunch on a Sunday & got right into a corner table. A few menu items sounded good to me, and I selected my standard Eggs Benedict, which were about average. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and nice as the server said, but even better than that was the home fries (crunchy sliced pan friend potatoes)...delicious! I really wish I had asked or been told of the specials bc I didn't noticed those on a large but distant chalkboard until I was nearly finished eating; Eggs Chesapeake with grilled blue crab sounds really good! Evidently it's a crab patty eggs Benedict, & it will be available for the entire week through Friday 4/15/22. Housemade pies & desserts sounded really good, but I'm taking home a side of two slices of French Toast w fresh strawberries instead for my "dessert!" Bottomless coffee with a thermos on the table is $3.30 & a nice touch! Look forward to bringing my son to try it another time; he already likes the photo of the eggs Benedict I texted him. read more

Oh my God what a great little restaurant. I've had the corn chowder and the clam chowder and both were superlative. I don't normally get this good of clam chowder outside of Bay areas. This was the best I've had in more than 30 years they have daily specials and they're always excellent, honestly you can't go wrong ordering anything off the menu they just do a great job fast friendly service the ambience for being a breakfast lunch place is perfect. It's my favorite restaurant in all of the three counties Saint Charles, Warren and Lincoln. I'll post some pictures next time. read more

The Scrambler House is our "go-to" breakfast place, especially when meeting up with friends. The servers are very good and friendly, the food has a homemade taste to it and they buy "locally" - from MO and surrounding area. It can be a bit loud due to the warehouse ceiling but it's very homey and fun. If you are going to go during regular breakfast hours, plan on a wait but they'll seat you as quickly as possible. My son LOVED the chocolate milk and chocolate chip pancakes. My husband enjoyed eggs, potatoes and toast. The bacon was good and I appreciate how some items like the bacon are locally sourced. I had the biscuits and gravy and they were so-so in my opinion. The biscuits slightly undercooked and the gravy a little bland. BUT we could tell it's good food and will return. We go here about 30 minutes before closing, but weren't rushed and treated like latecomers at all and I really appreciate that.
