This place was great when they first opened but for the last year or so have be on a rapid decline. First of all they do not know what the word mild is. Every time I order and emphasize the word mild they just ignore. Not only is it very spicy but they sprinkle extra spice on it before bringing it to the counter. Several times I received the wrong order or something was left out. This last time which was last week I ordered the Shrimp Corn and potatoes. Got them home and every other shrimp was old and tough. My 8 year old Grand son even mention that something was terribly wrong with the shrimp and that they were tough and dry. i will not be going back anytime soon and its a shame because they use to be very good!! read more

Undercooked crawfish. Nasty crawfish. Lady didn't use gloves to put corn in my bag. I was overcharged . It was to many problems. I went back to tell them that the crawfish was undercooked and was met with straight attitude. I had to tell the lady to calm down with the attitude if I came to you in a respectful way why can't I be treated with respect. The lady snatch the bag out my hand. I don't understand why the attitude and disrespect. I will never eat here ever again. They will not get my business. My first and will be my only visit. Staff was fantastic. My friend and I ordered, shrimp & oyster basket along with fish & oyster. The shrimp and fish we good, the oysters over cooked and too much batter, it overwhelmed the oyster. I even had the discussion with the guy asking him not to over fry. We were in Mobile Alabama and wanted to have some good, fresh seafood...I looked seafood up on Yelp and Seafood House had high ratings. Well to start with this is not your usual going out to dinner kind of place and when we walked into the place almost left as it is actually more of a seafood market than a restaurant. But as we noted there was a counter and menu. So we found out we could buy fresh shrimp and they would steam them. My husband loves crab claws so he got fried claws and shrimp... The food was delicious fresh and tasty and a fraction of the cost we have paid in nicer surroundings. Yes I recommend the food here, but it's not a place to get dressed up to go, we were in jeans and out sightseeing so we were fine but to be honest we would probably get it to go as most people do there. read more

Great food, a tad pricey on cooked (broiled, boiled or fried) but the raw seafood for purchase and the boiled crawfish are reasonable. You get better tasting food than The Boiling Pot and perhaps better portions and menu options too. Plus, an added bonus is that they are open on Sundays wow The Boiling Pot isn't! Great customer service and you can call ahead, eat in or take it to go. They should offer lemon wedges or lemon juice though. One more plus, they have fixed prices unlike boiling pot so they don't jack up prices on you when they feel like it. This place is straight forward and you can order a la carte by the pound. One issue is that parking and getting in and out of the lot can be tricky but I take that risk for great food. It's a pretty central location and I can easily see expansion in a years time. The menu is posted as a photo if you want to call ahead and pick your food up, which I love. I'd also suggest adding some desserts like bread pudding, ice cream, cookies or other simple southern desserts like keylime pie. Two thumbs all the way up! read more

The breading on the shrimp practically melts in your mouth and the breading on the tilapia has the perfect crunch. Best seafood in town ! I do not give them 5 stars because they have very bad service ... I do not recommend eating inside the restaurant. My husband was charged almost $ 6 for tips and they did not even bring the food to the table, no did they give us napkins. Only the food. They did not give us extra cup . Decided it looked intriguing and came back to give it a try. I love it. The place was packed. Parking lot packed. I understand why. It's an open counter order situation but they do have tables to eat at. Ordering was simple and quick. We tried a shrimp dinner and an oyster dinner. I love the fact that when our food was up the lady opened it up and showed us our order to confirm. The seafood itself was fresh and fried as good as I've had it anywhere. I grew up on east bay in NAVARRE Fl and we have some of the best oysters you can get. These oysters were the perfect size and fried to perfection.
