Not super happy with the service today, and in the past…read more Before the winter got cold, I inquired about why my car was having a hard time starting, and sometimes didn't start in the cold. They looked at my car, and said it would be fine. They said my battery was in tip top shape. Two months later in the cold, it didn't start, and I couldn't make it to school. Turned out to be weak battery, and the starter. Things I feel they shouldn't have overlooked. Just now, I called inquiring about state inspections. I say I am coming right now to get it inspected, they say that's fine. I get here, and they say there is five hour delay to get my car inspected today. I have class, that wouldn't work for me. I wish they would've mentioned that before I wasted my time driving over. I'm sick of this, and them. Unless I have to I won't be coming back.

Came in for a tire rotation. Talked me into an oil change too. Price was fair so waived the…read more rotation fee. Picked up the car.... noticed tires weren't rotated. Went back in and asked. Had to look it up and got the "oh by the way we didn't as you need two new front tires." Why didn't you call and tell me that when you had my car? Ordered two to be serviced later that week. Four days later my coolant light goes on... I got an oil change the levels were supposed to be checked so I called them up. We can't be sure why your coolant light is on so it'll be $175 for a diagnostic test. So I go and buy some additional coolant and have somebody that I know put a little bit of it in and lo and behold, the light goes off.. needless to say I never went back for the two new tires. I bought a battery at the Biddeford Maine Wal Mart about 2 years ago. Last week my car doesn't…read morestart and my mechanic says, battery no good. Ok, so the battery is still under warranty, so I bring it back to the store and see ERIC. Now I've been shopping here for years and I know Eric fairly well. I have had only one other incident with him about a year ago he all but called me a liar when I told him that my car was actually in the shop and they changed my windshield wipers and he had no paperwork or computer knowledge of it. I told him I actually witnessed the car inside the shop and he said ok Norm, it was in there, are you happy now? And he immediately walked off on me. Ok, maybe I can understand it where his mechanics failed to put anything of it in the office. Last week, I tried to return my battery and he comes out and informs me that the "new policy" was that my battery had to be accompanied with a receipt. Now, I know this is out of his hands, but I explain to him that it is near impossible to keep a Wal-Mart receipt that long due to the fact that the receipt is printed with heat and not ink. Therefore, when you store the thing in your glove box and the car reaches over 100 degrees in the summer time, the receipt is now blank. Now once again he all but calls me a liar by saying that he has one over 10 years old and he can read his just fine. Now about 3 or four years ago that same man asked me to write a "great" review on him and how happy I was with his service and I was all but too happy to do just that. But what I have figured out about ERIC, is he is so, so, nice to you when you are passing your money his way and building his fame with Wal-Mart and the public, but when you have a problem he treats you like the TRASH HE THREW OUT YESTERDAY!!! Eric, I wrote some great things about you thinking you were in fact a great manager, but you showed me who you really are and I have decided I no longer like you. Where was your empathy and kind words when I had a problem? I realize store policies are above you but even the store manager tried harder than you to help me by giving me a number to call with my problem. I was there for you when someone wrote some bad things about you and I didn't get paid a dime. You are for yourself and ONLY for yourself and I will NEVER buy so much as a keychain holder from you again. I'm done with your fake smile while I am passing money your way and your cold shoulder and your back as you walk away from me when I need your help. You need to learn that you treat your customers in need and not spending the same way you treat them when they are purchasing. Also, If Wal-Mart wants a three year old receipt, they need to make a receipt that will last that long without having to be stored in GRANDMAS cedar chest and completely out of harms way or get a computer system like auto parts stores EVERYWHERE possess that stores the customer info on warranties. This is a terrible scam. Your battery has your name all over it, a bar code and date. What more do you need? The only thing the battery doesn't have written in BOLD LETTERS, is KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! Batteries are EXPENSIVE! I don't want to think my warranty is no good at Wal-Mart because I simply won't buy it there. Yours Very Truely, Norm Hayward
