We decided to dine at this location in a Saturday evening. They do not open till 5pm. They opened aright at 5pm. We were seated quickly in this small, 10 table restaurant Within 15 minutes the majority of the tables were filled. We ordered fried mozerella sticks with marinara sauce. It arrived at our table within 10 minutes. It was not hot and fresh out of the fryer but was still good. It was served with warm marinara sauce. Salads and bread stick arrived next. Normal lettuce, tomato and cucumber with fresh made salad dressing. Draw back, it was servered on a saucer (plate). It allowed vegetables to slide off the sides. Our entrees arrived pipin hot; 38 minutes from when we arrived. Lasagna, baked Ziti and chicken Alfredo. They were all good. Great flavor but needed a bit of salt to enhance the flavor. It would have been nice to have a bread stick or two. None were served, none was offered. They were very busy and we did not ask. We finished the evening with dessert; cheese cake and a chocolate chip cannoli. Not impressive. Very gritty texture of the ricotta and soggy bottom of the shell for the cannoli. Cheese cake was not the normal baked cheese cake but rather a baked pie shell with a whipped cream/cream cheese ricotta filling. Pay for the bill at the front, not at the table. Walked out at 615pm. Had a small 5 topping pizza here last night. I was greeted and seated immediately by friendly people. Then learned it's a BYOB place, which was fine as there was a wine store 2 doors down in the little shopping center. They charge a $5. Cork fee qhich is reasonable Atmosphere was fine for a small, family friendly puzza place. Pizza, while well made in some ways, was a disappointment. Mainly due to the skimpy toppings. I added pepperoni, mushroom, eggplant, ground beef and tomato. The pepperoni and mushroom slices were visible. See my pic to follow the rest of this description. The tiny white squares were the eggplant. I couldn't taste any eggplant; or ground beef, or extra tomato. So while the pizza was basically well made, the toppings were a rip off. Anyone who left less than 5 stars either needs to give this little place another go, and/or get the sticks removed from their asses. This is the best dining experience I've had in a very long time. We went for lunch on a Tuesday. The venue is small, low key, very clean. The service was very prompt, friendly, and efficient. Our server was Sharon, I think, and she was very polite and took good care of us. We had mozzarella sticks to start, and they were hand "breaded" (I read that they are gluten free so I don't know what the breading is), and I could've just had that and been completely happy with my meal. The taste and texture was like real mozzarella and not your usual fried cheese sticks. Our meals came with salad or soup so I got house salad and husband got Ceasars. Both had fresh ingredients with delicious dressing. The breadsticks were obviously homemade and just crispy enough and chewy enough and had a wonderful garlic butter coating. I had shrimp Alfonso and husband had chicken parm, and both were fantastic. The portions are large, the plating and presentation is fine dining quality, and the seasonings and herbs taste fresh. I don't eat pizza often but when I do this is the place to go. This place is a small resteraunt with that "whole on the wall" feel. The wait staff are friendly and prompt. Came in towards the end of lunch and had the place to myself and my girl. The waitress and the cook/owner were very attentive and friendly. I can't say everybody will get the personal touch that we did, but for my review I can't honestly give less than 5 stars. We started with the "Yelp-famous" mozzarella sticks, which were FRESH and gone in seconds. Delicious. My only gripe of the whole meal is they could probably add 2 or 3 more of those for the price. My only gripe. Then our entrees were brought out with bottomless salad & breadsticks and the really good eating started. The chicken mediterranean pasta was savory and creamy and filled me up before I could finish it. We were sad to be too full to continue for dessert. Next time. This place is to DIE for. My husband and I moved here four months ago, and they know us by name because we come in or call in at least twice a week. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. It's a family owned place, and the owner waits tables with his sister, while the mom and a younger woman handle the register. It's the kind of place you go if you want to feel like you're going to dinner with family, without all the bickering and drunken arguments... The pizza is amazing, the service is even better, and the mozzarella sticks are unique and delicious. The only thing I would recommend is to eat there, not to go. The food tastes so much better when its fresh and warm and it makes such a huge difference. I'm a homebody, but we frequently eat in because it's too good to pass up those mozzarella sticks coming out of the kitchen and into your mouth. Between the guests at our table we had the mozzarella sticks to start which are not breaded, merely fried on their own and it is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is BYOB so we popped next door to the liquor store and grabbed a couple bottles of red wine to accompany the meal. As entrées we enjoyed the shrimp scampi, gyro, pasta alfonso and chicken cacciatore. All the meals were delicious and portions weren't too large, we didn't try the pizza but the pasta looked so good we couldn't pass it up. To finish up the meal we split a couple of canolis which were cool and authentic, very nice cinnamon flavor. Mozzarella cheese sticks were gooey on the inside and surprisingly crisp on the outside even when it's not breaded. Fun fact: it took them about 9 months to prefect these cheese sticks! It's a must have! The pizza was thin crust and amazing. But the highlight of my night was the whipped cheesecake. Whaaat? Whipped? OK, so Sicillian II is by far my favorite restaurants for many reasons. Which I will list. 1. There is good food and then there is food that makes you moan and groan from within inside of your soul because it is so darn good! This is where the moans and groans come in. First I always start off with the fried mozzarella with marinara. I often have dreams about these things. I literally lick my fingers to pick up any crumbs and lick the bowl with my finger. Best mozzarella sticks and best marinara I have ever tasted, sorry Gramma. Salads are fantastic with fresh dressing. Love the ranch and always get a side of ranch because it goes great with thier fresh breadsticks. Now I am normally not a Lasagna kind of guy but thier Lasagna is a 100 year old recipe that absolutely delightful. This is where I learned to appreciate the art of spices and seasoning. Absolutley love the Lasagna. However the Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan are also some my favorites but then there is thier pizza. Seriously everything on the menu is fantastic. One of the rare restaurants that I not only never had a bad dish but every dish was fantastic. The hardest part is saving room for desert. If you are successful ask for the Cheese cake with the chocolate mousse topper. Not on the menu yet but they will know what your talking about. You wont be disappointed. Oh and it is also a bring your own bottle restuarant. 2. The experience is another reason why I absolutely love Sicilian II. Sicillian II is family owned and operated. Chief Chris has carried on his father's legacy and recipes with a love and passion that can not only be tasted but seen and heard. I love seeing Chris come out of the kitchen and love listening to him explain a dish to a customer. He explains a dish or recipe with so much pride and passion. He is truley mastering his culinary gift and does so with live and passion. If you have never heard Chris explain a dish your missing the full experience. 3. Value. I have no problem paying for good quality food. But when I get groaning and moaning food at a great value that is a difinate bonus. I dont think they have a dish over $15. 4. I dont eat out often because I am a calorie counter these days but when I do it better be worth it because I know how much work and effort it takes to burn calories. You can not out excercise your diet. So when I eat at Sicilian II I can honestly say it is worth every calorie and every bit of effort that goes into burning off those calories. The Chicken Marsala pasta was out of this world, and their homemade Cheese sticks were the best we've ever had, they were not like any I have ever tried before, not breaded at all, they were very, very good. Great service, good food and reasonable prices. If you're in the area it's worth a try. I had the Veal Parmigiana ( it was real veal not the processed patties so many places are tryptophan pass off as veal) it was very good. My wife had the lasagna, I liked it she thought it wasn't hot enough and needed more cheese but still enjoyed it. We also tried their Yelp famous fried cheese and a cannoli both were good but I'd probably have enjoyed the Tiramisu a bit more. Their pizza's looked really good. Ate dinner here with my girlfriend tonight for the first time, and Wow were we impressed. Very thorough COVID screening when you come in. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who took us to our table. Very quaint Mom & Pop place. We met our waitress Sharon "with one R" she was like talking to your Mom. She was very patient and extremely attentive. She was obviously proud of their food and after our experience they should be. This was some of The best Italian food I have had in a long time. My girlfriend had the shrimp linguine and was extremely impressed with it, I tasted it and it was amazing. I had the West coast Pizza garlic white sauce with pepperoni and Italian sausage which was great best crust I have ever had, extremely light and tasty. We had the cheese sticks and fried zucchini apps, which were both great themselves. We were both pretty full and Sharon mentioned their homemade deserts, we got the Tiramisu OMG I have had this many times including in Italy, this was out of this world delicious. So creamy and they make their own coffee liqueur. Definitely our new favorite Italian go to place. You really need to try this place on Pass Rd near gate 7 next to Mr Greek. I am amazed there are so many positive reviews for this place. The food I ate was not good and I sat on a piece of wood which is their booth seating. I had baked ziti with meatballs for my entree. The meatballs were like little frozen meatballs you get at Sam's Club. The ziti was soggy and over cooked. The dish was drowned in red sauce. That isn't how baked ziti is prepared. My wife had spaghetti and meatballs. Her meatballs were also the little frozen pork meatballs out of a bag and the spaghetti was like Chef Boyardee. The beef vegetable soup which came with the dinner was lacking of even a hint of flavor and the vegetables were hard somehow. The soup was watery with Italian seasoning floating in it. No color. My wife also got the "Sicilian cappuccino" which was coffee with powdered cappuccino stirred in. We got a "fried zucchini" appetizer. I have never in my life had BAD fried zucchini until I went to this place. They cut the zucchini sideways like a cucumber that had a thick fry on there and called it "fried zucchini." Fried zucchini is traditionally cut long ways; almost like French fries so it is tender and soaks in the flavors with a light seasoned coating. The way they did it was a really bad version and it was lacking any flavor and hard in texture. The fry wasn't even good which is hard to mess up. The bread was the best thing I ate but my wife said it was too doughy and she was right actually. I will never go back to this place. People that eat here and wrote positive reviews must not know what real Italian food is supposed to taste like. This wasn't even as good as cafeteria food. We barely touched any of the food. I ordered the very popular Sicilian's Favorite pizza here, and it really was very good. I ordered it to go, but ate a couple slices while I was there during lunch. The restaurant seemed very nice, and like I said the pizza was quite good. I'd rather come back and order some of their pasta dishes before shelling out the 5 stars, but I'll be happy to when I give it a go. I don't care about this kind of thing at all, but the exterior is nothing to talk about, but the inside feels homey and authentic. The food here was not very good. I ordered chicken alfredo. Everything was bland and there was no seasoning on it. I had to add salt &pepper just to make it edible. Having reviewed several critiques, my wife and I decided to give it a try. Colossal disappointment. The first batch of bread sticks that were brought to the table were obviously carried over from lunch and used as door shoppers. The Antipasto arrived and much to our disbelief was a Mickey Mouse rendition of a chopped salad on a poorly cut bed of romaine lettuce. The loaded potato soup tasted as though it was out of a can accompanied by a less than marginal attempt to doctor it up. The salad was nothing less than a barely meager effort in order to compete with the soup. The ranch dressing was very runny with minimal flavor profile. The so called authentic veal marsala was anything but authentic. A 4 oz frozen breaded cardboard like substance was deep fried beyond belief. Change the name to veal Chernobyl. There was no marsala sauce on the veal, as it was reserved for the more than al Dante pasta with mushrooms that were border line fresh, or possibly out of a can. The chicken parmesan was to say the very least, surprisingly good. Although, for the price lacking in portion size. The so called authentic marinara, watery and lacking in flavor. Nothing authentic about it. After bringing our disdain forward, the meal was discounted by removing the price of just the so called veal yet not the entire entree. To top it all off, the restroom right next to the kitchen was flooded. As we paid the check and were departing, we were asked to please come back and give them another chance. Why would we? You didn't offer to take care of the check or offer a discount upon returning a second time. No, it is safe to say that we will not be back. Good luck! read more
