The Skyview Inn was the perfect locale for our wedding weekend festivities. Darcy was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the process of planning and getting set up. We had our guests book their own rooms and due to the size of the wedding and the property, it felt like our own little world for the weekend. The Skyview offers a great vendor list, but are totally fine with you bringing in your own vendors as well. I loved that they had the tables, chairs and linens as part of the booking fees. Sitting on the rim, weather can be tricky, but The Skyview also offers an indoor space if the weather turns. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and truly the perfect day!

The Sky View Inn is a wonderful family owned venue. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent, and the view is incredible.

Super cute and GREAT VIEW. Had to leave early so will try again as I didn't get to stay.

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Felt right at home and the views were beautiful. Can't wait to come stay here again

what a terrible experience. While the view is unspeakable, the cleanliness is also unspeakable. Here is a photo of our bathtub filled with hair from the previous person and when I asked about it, they said they would rinse it out but it needed more than a rinse. I asked for cleaning supplies and then realized it was a cloggage issue never again while I stay here.

Incredible breakfast with a wonderful view at the Sky View Inn. They were open on Saturday's and Sunday's when we went. The service was quick and Darcy was very accommodating. Delicious, hearty, mountain food menu. I look forward to going back on another trip to Lake Arrowhead.

This is where my wife and I held our rehearsal dinner and post-wedding breakfast for our May 2023 wedding, as well as where we had our hotel block for many out-of-town guests. Dinner and breakfast were tasty (and dessert was AMAZING!!!!), the setup was beautiful, and the service was immaculate. The whole team was so very very wonderful and just so kind and accommodating with everything. Thank you so very much to everyone at the Sky View Inn from we two queer wives!!!!

Owner says "no one else has complained about the sleeper sofa". Torn, dirty, no sheets provided, BROKEN, and super tiny. Broken table.

If only zero stars were an option. Business owners like this really do a disservice to all small businesses when they behave like this. Crumbs. Wrappers. Broken (tiny) "sleeper" sofa. Gross carpet. Awful smell in the room. Broken table with a sign on it that said "don't move table, it was just glued back together and needs to dry". Most importantly, did not sleep 3 people as marketed. They left us in a real bind since the whole mountain was booked for the upcoming 4th of July holiday. We booked this room in April for 3 people. Myself and my 2 daughters. They knew it only slept 2, as the guy at the front desk said when we checked in, and could just have contacted us between April and July 1st when we arrived. The owner blamed the housekeeper, the prior customers for not complaining about the broken sofa, and me for being "unhappy with the room", which she said wasn't "their nicest room". I don't think the room is advertised that way online! I reiterated that my only expectation was clean sleeping accommodations for 3 people, as advertised, for one night. Not their "nicest room". That's it. Super simple. Two of the three people aren't even full-sized adults, and there was no way to make that sleeper sofa work! The carpet was disgusting, so one of them crashing on the floor just wasn't an option. They'd already given out the one rollaway bed they have. (Using the term "sleeper sofa" loosely as it really was more like the tiniest kind of futon sleeper you could find- probably measures closer to 4ish feet and might work for a toddler/kinder kiddo. Not possible to really clean it between customers because of the upholstered "mattress".) They did refund us, but that still left us with emergently paying 3 times more to stay in the least expensive of the remaining 3 rooms on the mountain. The next closest was San Bernardino. I asked for reimbursement of the difference which they refused (about $280) and contacted them to give them a chance to correct this situation. All they did was refuse to reimburse and blame everyone but themselves. I'd recommend looking for other options if you are trying to support small businesses and looking for a small, cute place to stay. Super disappointing.

Beautiful views. Nothing fancy, but not roughing it either. We were able to stay in one of the separate units from the main house with it's own patio. Was really relaxing. The location is perfect from the different towns around us. Thanks Darcy !

My partner and I stayed at The Sky View Inn for the first time and we loved it. Everyone was so friendly! Our room was very clean. The best part was the breathtaking breakfast we had on their balcony. Delicious! We will be back soon for sure.

Cozy inn with great views in the mountains. We picked this hotel because it was in walking distance to Sky Park Santa's Village. We went during the month of the December and I was very pleased with how fast the heat worked in our unit! We were in the 2 bedroom with the private balcony. The rooms were spacious and my daughter had a blast on the piano that was in our living room. A full size kitchen and dining table were also included. When we warmed up enough to go outside, we would stand on the balcony mesmerized by the views down into the city. Lake Arrowhead village is also a short, 5 minute drive from the hotel. Management was friendly as well. My family and I stayed here for 2 nights.

The Sky View Inn is everything I ever could have wanted in venue for our 60 person wedding. It is a family run inn, headed by the sweetest woman ever - Darcy. Upon our first meeting over a year ago when looking for the right venue in Lake Arrowhead and the surrounding areas, we fell in love instantly with the Sky View, as well as with Darcy. The breathtaking view and the facilities were exactly what we were looking for for our intimate wedding focused on nature, family, and sincerity. Darcy was absolutely integral in our entire wedding weekend, helping with every detail, but even more so during the planning phases and understood our vision from the beginning - even making suggestion that we integrated into the plan. Our entire family booked out the rooms at the inn for the weekend and all thoroughly enjoyed their stays, the amazing breakfasts, and the impeccable hospitality. We could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else. It was truly magical and everything we could have ever wanted - all thanks to Darcy and her family. I would highly recommend the Sky View for any couple looking for a quaint but inspiring venue for their wedding, as well just an all-around great place to stay. We will be coming back for our 1 year anniversary for sure.

Since our room wasn't ready yet, they gave us beach access cards while we waited, which we really appreciated. We ended up walking to the village for breakfast (about a 6 minute walk) and did the boat tour while waiting. Around 12 PM, we received both a text and a call that our room was ready. The room was clean and the lake view was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. We also went down to the lake to catch the sunset, which was definitely a highlight even though the water was freezing. They had movie night and game room as well. The only downside was the TV in our room. It was pretty outdated, static at times, and we wished it had Netflix or streaming options where we could log into our own accounts. The hot tub could've also been cleaner. Overall, it was still such a relaxing getaway and a perfect Mother's Day trip for the family. We'll definitely be back again!

Ultimate Bait-and-Switch: Deceptive Photos, No Water, and Financial Theft…read moreBefore relying on older reviews, know this: The Lake Arrowhead Inn was bought out by a new owner a year ago, and hospitality has been replaced by predatory business practices. As a savvy traveler who spends 30-40 days a year in hotels, I have never seen a property run this deceptively. The Illusion: The rooms are vastly smaller in reality than the wide-angle marketing photos on their website lead you to believe. The Bait-and-Switch: We booked a premium Lake View room for our anniversary. Upon arrival, they gave our room away. While I empathized with the staff reassigning it to accommodate a handicapped party, the owner used it as an opportunity to scam us. Hostile Management: When I requested a rate adjustment for the cheaper, downgraded room, the owner became combative on the phone, refused any change, and tried to blame Expedia for his own greed. Zero Amenities: We reluctantly accepted the cramped room just to get ready for a private event, only to find the water was completely shut off with no timeline for repair. The Theft: With no running water, we had to walk away. The owner completely refused a refund, forcing us to eat the entire cost and pay for a second hotel out of pocket. This owner will take your money, provide zero basic infrastructure, and leave you stranded. Do not gamble your hard-earned money or special occasions here. Look elsewhere.

The last time was October 2020, and it was great to discover that UCLA continues to upgrade its facilities with new amenities including a tavern (they serve adult beverages!) as well as pickleball courts. We've enjoyed our visits every time, but IMO the cabins are due for a renovation/upgrade. After our most recent visit Memorial Day weekend, I would also warn guests to beware of oakworms or leafrollers (moth caterpillars that rappel down on silken threads) which seemed to be everywhere this time of year. So, it was strange when this happened: After a really bad booking and check-in experience at Fleur De Lac European Inn, where the owner asked me to leave after wanting extra cash on top of existing booking, when I already paid via another booking website (**at check in, mind you)... walking in and talking with Karen, the owner/manager of 21 years, was a sweet relief from the chaotic energy from Fleur. Karen greeted me with respect, laughs, patience, and a room (#28) that was head and shoulders above anything Fleur was offering, and it was for a similar price. She and room 28 made me feel welcomed, and Karen made sure I had everything I needed, after a bad experience. I would go back just to talk with her, and her staff. Honorable mention is Michael, who was such a positive and humorous energy at the desk. The bartendress, forgive me for not catching her name, was wonderful and welcoming, as well. It's a shame they shut down the bar area around 9pm. It's a place you want to cozy up to, late into the night, and exchange stories well into the evening hours. Our cottage (#26) featured a King-sized bed, television, mini fridge, microwave, extra storage space, and a bathtub with jacuzzi jets. The Saddleback Inn is also pet-friendly, meaning both dogs AND cats are welcome to stay, considering that many lodging establishments don't really accept cats. They also have a really nice event / wedding venue on the property. We stayed in the Little House on the Pond cabin which shared a small man-made pond with 3 other cabins. (Side note: Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins isn't in Lake Arrowhead proper but about a 20 minute drive east on the 189 in the small township of Twin Peaks - which is a nice mountain town but it's a bit of a drive away from Lake Arrowhead) These cabins are really cute. They are rustic yet comfortable - the sofa & chairs are comfy but I wish the sofa was deeper. There are 2 full size beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms and the beds are super comfy! The one we slept in had a down mattress pad which really upped the comfort. There was also a nice comforter. On the downside, I am tall and I barely fit lengthwise. My feet were on the bottom rail and my head was up against the headboard. Ample parking: our cabin had its own small driveway to park in. The party lights on the deck were really nice for sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs at night. It was also really nice to build a fire in the fireplace on a crisp night. We had a lantern with a dead battery and the maintenance guy came very fast to replace it. There are lots of dishes and cookware to make snacks & meals and they have lots of things you can check out from the office like smore sticks, french presses, orange juicer, veggie steamer, charcoal BBQ, chop sticks and much, much more. On the downside: One of the big reasons we got this cabin was to have a fireplace...and they charge you $10 for a bundle of wood, which is annoying considering how much we paid to stay here (including an $80 resort fee - that doesn't include a bundle of firewood!!?) Tip: We picked up a fire bundle at Grocery Outlet for $6 that was significantly bigger than the one they had sitting by our fireplace for sale. The other big reason we got this particular cabin (Little House on the Pond) was for the big claw tub and it was very disappointing! First of all, you want a claw tub so you can relax & soak in a deep tub, and this tub is not deep enough to stay submerged. When I filled it up and got in, the water drained out the overflow drain until the water that remained in the tub left me half out of the water. You really want to soak in these things and you better do it quick here! (Note: We mentioned this when we checked out and he said they would look into getting a water level extender to put over the drain or something) Also, their hot water heater isn't big enough to last till this tub is full enough to get in. It ran cold after a while and I had to stop filling and let the hot water build back up and do that a few times to have a reasonably warm full bath. The stairs in this cabin are a neck breaker (very steep), almost like a ladder. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This could potentially be dangerous going to the bathroom in the middle of the night (or for anyone who has a challenge walking). They should at least put in some nightlights on the stairs so you can see them when it is dark. On the admin side, you have to wash all your dishes and take out your own garbage or be charged a $60 fee. I have never (even at lower priced hotels) been told to wash my own dishes and take out my garbage. I kinda get it if you have a big family with 8 or 10 people - I'm sure they've had lots of people leave it a total mess, but for 2 of us it was a bit annoying to pay what we did and have to clean up everything. I mean part of being on vacation is to have people wait on you and not have to worry about these things - especially for what I paid to stay here. Another thing, when we checked in we asked for pool towels and she got us a few but told us in the future we needed to bring our own pool towels...Then what are we paying such a high resort fee for!!? After all is said and done I am giving Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins 4 stars. Again, this place is cute, nice and very comfortable but with all the dings mentioned above, I can't give it 5 stars.

We were greeted by Chris and given a tour of the spaces available to us which included a kitchenette stocked with snacks and goodies (midnight cereal, YES!), a wide selection of DVDs and board games. The room had a little fireplace, lounge room, large bathroom (no bathtub) and a super cozy bed. The ONLY thing that was less than perfect as that the blanket was a tiny stuffy smelling. We very much enjoyed this B&B. Be sure to check out the Belgian Waffle and the Village just across the way.

5th Star for the Owner and Housekeeper…read more 1. Is the glass half empty or is the glass half full? 2. You get what you paid for.... and then some Here is my story. Chasing snow, I end up in the San Bernadino Mountains, trying to conquer Big Bear Mountain or Snow Valley or Snow Summit. I had several choices including a 2 hour one way commute from Los Angeles. I chose to stay-cay but then came the question of where? Well, I could stay in the Redlands, making my drive 1.5 hours one way. Or I could get closer to the mountain resorts making my commute 1 hour one way. Regardless of the choice, the commute to/fr the resorts can be arduous. I chose to stay in Lake Arrowhead making my commute 20 minutes one way to Snow Valley. I read the reviews and all I can say is use my glass half empty half full theory and that you get what you paid for .... and then some. For the price! The service was extraordinary. Owner Roscoe suffered some health issues in recent years but he still has the spirit of being a hotelier. Unlike hotels or inns where you have to leave a credit card deposit, you don't have to do it here. You do however have to pay for your room in advance to which a refund will be given if you cancel 24 hours in advance of your checkin. Issy, the wife of Hotelier Rosco is also the housekeeper. She will check you into your room and give you a quick tour of the property and amenities. She is really the star of the property. Oh OK Wait! The stars of the property are their 2 pet racoons. So tame and cute and big. You can tell they are fed well and are treated well. (one of the racoons stood outside my room door and did not try to enter my room or go away until i shut the door) Right off the highway and across the street from the Lake Arrowhead Village is Fleur De Lac; a quaint medieval decor mansion with about 6 rooms; each with its own bathroom and individual decor. A definite must try if you're in the area. (I used booking.com and was not steered wrong)

The beds were comfortable and the wifi worked fine, so we survived the night, but the property is in need of some major improvements to bring it to the level of collecting the resort fee that they assess. Some things we experienced: - Our hot water in the sink did not work - the shut off at the wall was off - when I turned it on, I found out why - the sink handle leaked - the pool was unheated, had a crumbling deck and a fence badly in need of repair - the deck in front of many of the rooms looks like it is in the process of renovation, sort of. Paint is stripped in some areas, repainted in others and just peeling in others - the top of many of the wood bannisters are patched with fence slats. That might work if they were cut to fit, sanded and painted, but they are not - there is no ice machine. I was told they are thinking of getting one, but "we haven't yet" - The desk coverage is spotty, at best. We went to the office a number of times and found someone there about half the time. The message on the door to call the office number was not helpful in an area with little to no cell signal We're giving them 3 stars because they are trying . It looks and feels like a 1960's property that's been in renovation since the current owners bought it 12 years ago - but there's still a long way to go. It has potential - just rename the resort fee to a property renovation fund and you'll be worth the prices I know you need to charge for an area motel, please.

THIS IS YOUR WARNING TO MOVE ON! I needed a place to stay for one night here in Lake Arrowhead…read more This was horrendous. I was willing to accept a little run down for a better price but I wasn't willing to accept how absolutely filthy this place was. There were piles of dead bugs in the corners, the floors were sticky, hair absolutely everywhere, and there was food left in my fridge from the previous guest. The bed had little black pellets encased in the covers from what I expect were bug droppings. It looked as if the bed had just been remade from the previous guest and none of the sheets had been washed. After I told the manager, he begged me not to write this review, but I can't let a small family with children make the mistake I made and get sick from it. Check out the photos and see for yourself. I ended up getting an incredible little cottage room at Saddleback for an extra $30. Stay there instead.
