There's a whole little strip mall area I had no idea existed. A hidden gem! Regina answered my call and she owns the business and does nails. She gave me a wonderful pedicure and gel manicure and was a joy to chat with. She said she's owned the business in that location for 28 years. There is a massage therapist, facial esthetician, two nail technicians including Regina and she rents out space for three hairdressers. It was $70 total for a gel manicure and pedi. It was a Sunday so the salon overall was quiet and it was really just Regina and me the full time in the nail area. PS. Her dog Bella is so cute and greeted me upon arrival. My daughter had Tina for her gel nails and had a bad experience of cuticle damage. If you visit Avante whatever you do make sure Leon or Tina are not working on your manicure services. My first impression was...this place is kinda messy. Chipped paint, dusty counter, debris on floors. I was almost afraid to put my feet in the tub but they did scrub it out really well so I felt pretty comfortable with that. They do seen to clean each foot tub well. They also wear gloves. It is a bit warm in here. Pretty good pedicure. Love the hot towel. He did a good scrubbing. My feet definitely feel good and waaaaay softer! He really made sure he got all those summer sandal rough spots lol. The manicure was good as well . Great vibe massage and all dead skin removed. Thank you for the service. AWFUL. Just awful. My nails are crooked, short, and the worst part is that I still had to pay for…read moreit. When I spoke up, she tried to fix it and made it worse. I had to go to another salon to fix her mistake and they did the best they could, but the length made the shape and symmetry much harder to work with. She didn't listen to my critiques from the beginning and dismissed my concerns after the powder was set. I am not someone who is hard to please. A lot of the time, I'll smile, pay, and bitch and moan later. Today, I had to leave without polish, it was THAT bad. The unpolished image is one of my nails that was filled twice and filed crookedly BOTH times. Every time a little shorter and more crooked. The polished photos are the "fixes" but they're still asymmetrical. They couldn't do more without either going shorter or starting again. There's also visible redness at the cuticles for how aggressively they were filed.
