Just wanted to share our experience on 6/03/2023 My husband purchased 3 gift cards" The Ultimate Sante spa" for my birthday to enjoy a spa day with my two daughters. First of all, this was our first time at your spa. We were not made aware a man was going to be doing our massages, I didn't have an issue with it. But my youngest daughter did, she refused the service and GIgi was trying to convince her how good he is and she will enjoy the massage. Anyhow, I told Gigi no, she does not feel comfortable and there is no way to try to convince her. I'll just take her spot ( I do have to say, Jason is amazing and I did enjoy the massage). Anyhow, before my massage i kinda felt like I had just messed up the whole schedule. I didn't see a difference whether I took my daughter's spot and she took my spot. At the end of the day we were all going to get the same treatment- of course minus the 90 min massage and the manicure for my youngest daughter. Gigi did my toes and nails - When it was my turn for my pedicure I was given regular polish to choose a color from , I asked if they offer gel polishes. I was told they do but they have a better polish "dazzle dry" but it will be an upgrade to our services. I was also told how much better it is compared to gel polish and it won't chip as easily as regular polish. Blah blah blah, it's now Sunday and already my nails are already chipping (see pics attached). My pedicure looks horrendous as well. Not much clean up around my toes. Gigi also did the pedicure for my youngest - my daughter tried to explain to Gigi how badly she left her toe nails and left polish around her skin. She told my daughter " I'm not blind " Don't get me wrong Gigi seems to have a great sense of humor and I know she tried her best to make sure we had a good experience. The only one who walked out with a beautiful mani and pedi was my oldest daughter, thank goodness because Trish did hers. Amazing! My Massage and facial were a 10/10 Jason and Andrea made it so worth it, my oldest loves Trish who made it a good experience for her as well. I'm not expecting anything in return just wanted to share our experience.. I wish that I could speak to the quality...After reading reviews for a good stylist in Old Pas, I made an appointment three days in advance for a blow out with Michael. I was told that "something slipped through the cracks" and Michael was a no show. She acknowledged that she saw record of my appointment. Why did they not call me? Then, the receptionist, who barely apologized, called Shawn. No response from Shawn, so she asked someone there if Shawn was supposed to be at the salon at that moment. Response - yes. Yet, no Shawn. I was not offered anything for my trouble at all. I have an event tonight, and a busy schedule today. I do not recommend this salon at all. Not only did the reception seem non-plussed by this slipping through the cracks, but no one at the salon seemed to care. Oh well, DryBar to the rescue and never to return to Sante even though I live in the complex within which they are attached. It costs nothing for good service and maybe just a little bit more to not have something slip through the cracks. read more

I recently discovered this place due to a deal on facial/massage that I found online. There were no openings when I wanted to book, but they accommodated my friend and me after hearing it was a milestone birthday treatment for me. The warm service upon entering was wonderful (thanks Kay and Daisy), complete with beverages and treats. The place is huge and has all the services and amenities you would need. Both my facial with Sarai and massage with Ruby were excellent. They really were into what they do and it showed. It was relaxing and I enjoyed chatting with them as well. They make you feel like a really honored guest at this place and I am happy to add it to my rotation for relaxing treatments. read more

First time massage customer who will never return. This is not a spa or geared towards a relaxing environment. The 1 room for massage is next to the hair salon. Hearing the salon chatter and blow dryers is not relaxing. I was gifted a gift certificate. I gave the physical gift certificate to the "I just started" excuse receptionist who didn't know how to redeem it. Even though I gave the cert. number over the phone when booking. Then I was called 2 times after I left and harrassed about payment (say what?!?) If the staff communicated, made notes in the system, had someone on site who knows the system, and were organized as a business, there is no need to call the client after leaving. Stylist, Sarah Sanders called me about an hour after I left and without context (so she's claimed) asked for payment also. Low and behold she found the gift certificate while talking me. Alice is a master colorist! Yes, she is! I prefer low maintenance and simple when it comes to my everyday look. I'm the type who leaves the house with minimal makeup dressed in yoga pants. On most days, I just take a brush to my hair and go. I was looking for a different hair color that was still low maintenance. I didn't want a hair color that would require me to come in every few weeks to tone or touch up my roots. I let Alice know my concerns and how I wanted a color that looked natural and would sort of blend in with my natural hair as it grows out. This is my second time with Alice and she was fabulous both times. Last year, I went in to get full highlights done with her. The results were great and my highlights still looked good and meshed well with my natural hair even after almost a year. This last visit, I decided to go with dying my hair one color. My hair is dark brown and I wanted to dye it to more of a medium brown. When in doubt, trust Alice to know which color is right for you. I love the results! Spa Santé is a very clean and friendly salon. The staff are all very welcoming and personable. I did unfortunately have an accounting issue with them where I had some missing funds. However, I appreciate how Kay apologized and was honest about fixing the issue on their end. Spa Santé is an upscale salon with prices on the higher end. However you do get what you pay for. Of course--being ashamed for neglecting my skin care routine the past few months, I was hoping to get the skin reset I truly needed. My facial with Andrea was amazing! I tried to post a photo but my camera seriously can't do my skin justice after the facial with her. Tl;Dr: Amazing haircut - Tina knows what she's doing. Booked my appointment a week before I came in for a day of full services. The customer service was amazing--very accommodating and friendly. The process was simple and they gave me easy instructions on what to do leading up to the appointment. Tina is amazing - I always get compliments on my haircut, which usually lasts me 6 months to an entire year. She really cuts to last unlike most other salons. Even though I live far away, I make the drive to come here. Salon is beautiful and so welcoming - the facilities are super clean and new. The managers were so uncaring of an urgent medical issue that my little boy had, and the fact that I had to get a babysitter two different times to try to make my appointment, that they wouldn't consider not charging me for the full appointment. Ruby is amazing. It was my first time getting a massage from her, it was the best massage I have ever had. I have had countless massages in the last two years seeking relief from injuries sustained during a car accident. Ruby took the time to listen as I explained my situation to her. She asked me questions before and during the massage to ensure that I was comfortable and that she was addressing my problem areas. She is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. I waited two days to write this review in order to express the benefits from the massage accurately. When walking into the door for the first time, I already felt welcomed . Gigi does wonders with my toes. I have been to many salons in Pasadena to try to fix my big toes and Gigi knew what the problem was, was confident that she Could fix them and she did!! She is a very funny and caring woman. I started coming to these stylists in 2000 when they were in Pasadena at Amadeaus Spa on Green Street. They have since moved to Foothill Blvd in Pasadena under new management as The Spa Sante ( in 2014). I drive from Orange County because they are that good. They have been the salon for the Rose Court for the Pasadena Rose Parade for years. I see Alice Rossiter who specializes in color and hair extensions. Ask her about the new halo extensions. They are a breeze to put in! She is a senior stylist at the Spa Sante ( and Amadeus before that). I also see Denise who is also very good). Trish is fabulous for nails. Her pedicures are excellent. No one gets my feet as smooth as she does. Flora does permanent make up using microbladding. She has 20 years experience with permanent makeup and I wouldn't go to anyone else. It's your face! Besides their expertise is the really relaxed nature of the spa. These professionals work and spend time with each other outside work. They genuinely like each other and it is one of the things I really love about coming here. Don't hesitate. You will love the Spa Sante! read more

Hello, First and foremost, it was never about the tipping. I was caught off guard with your mandatory amount. This travelzoo deal was a gift to me. I did not make the purchase so, no, I was not aware of the mandatory amount, nor was I advised of this at the time of check in. Now, I never mentioned anything in my review about the masseuses nails. How are you including this in your response? I was trying to be polite when asked if everything was ok so I said yes. The massage was good, I just didn't like your place. Its not up to par for a "spa" advertising as you have in the travelzoo ad. Your place is more of a salon. If you are "world traveled" and have been to many spas around the world you must know that your place is not a spa. Your womens lockers have broken locks, your rest area is more like a dimmed doctor's office waiting room to be honest. I got this as a gift therefore I went but would of I seen the Yelp reviewa and pictures I would of not spent my money there. Wonderful Pedicure and Salon staff!! I had my first visit this weekend with Gigi, getting one of their amazing pedicures. It was fabulous. Not only was the pedicure great but the perks of a nice quiet, calming atmosphere and down-home friendly staff, created a great experience I've been searching for in a Pasadena nail salon over the past year. I can't tell you how nice it is to NOT have staff yelling at each other across the room. Apparently the folks at The Spa Sante GET that, and know that we are here for not only great services but a relaxing experience. By-the-way, ask Gigi to make you one of their awesome Cappucino's that rocked the house!! Reception staff was great too. Even when she was on the phone when I came in, she still greeted and acknowledged me, and said she would be right with me. She even offered me something to drink when she was off the phone. It's so great when this normal customer service protocol is adhered to as many businesses today don't, and should take note of the excellent customer service offered at The Spa Sante. What a wonderful experience my daughter, friend and I had on our "girls" day out together after just have moved to Pasadena. I had the BEST massage ever by Jason who helped me so very much with my chronic back pain, my friend got a "Dazzle dry" manicure and I have been looking for a place that will do a "Dazzle Dry" manicure since I was introduced to Dazzle dry at Canyon Ranch in Lenox Mass. Bought three of the $59 Travelzoo facials for my mom, my sister, and me. The three of us independently thought that it was the WORST facial we've ever had. The estheticians were nice, but the facials themselves were horrible. Way too few extractions, poor pressure on the facial massage, no post-facial glow. Can't believe anyone would pay full price for these. Had to book facials elsewhere to make up for this!! Plus 1 star because the staff and receptionist were professional and accommodating, but that still can't make up for lack of expertise. read more

Gigi was amazing! This place is professional and you get personable care with a great team environment. Gigi paid special attention to getting my calluses off my feet (I got the standard pedicure). Gigi was also open to feedback which I so appreciate as I typically always want nail technicians to massage my legs with more pressure but never know how to tell them. I would have preferred a massage chair that offers more pressure (the one I sat on mainly just vibrated without any kneading, etc.), but other than that, I really enjoyed my experience. Came here to dye my hair with Sarai and was very pleased with my visit. I originally came on a rainy Thursday and while I was waiting for her to mix up the dye, I loved watching the staff interact with their clients. It felt like I was in the show 'Cheers.' They chatted about their kids and what they've been up to lately- it was just really refreshing to see real customer service! As for my experience with Sarai, she was great. She listened to what I wanted and was very professional. At the end, I did enjoy the results but she noted that the dye didn't take all the color very well. I assured her I loved my results but she told me to return within a week if it's not to my liking. Later that day, I came home and got ready for a show at the Ahmanson and was home about midnight. To my surprise my hair had turned from this nice espresso color to more of a coppery red! I waited to see if it was maybe just the lighting in my house. Sadly, the color wasn't really what I wanted so I went ahead and contacted the salon to reschedule. They were apologetic and got me in by Sunday. Sarai examined my hair and explained to me why it might have done that and went straight to fixing it. I loved my results still! It's perfect to fall and I'm very happy I came back. As for the salon itself, it is very clean and there is ample parking in the back. The receptionist was very friendly and again, the staff are exceptional here. I was looking for a Spa to de-stress at and needed a new haircut. I decided to come to Spa Sante after hearing it from a family friend. After my amazing experience here, I am definitely coming back and will be recommending this spa to my friends! LOCATION AND PARKING I had no trouble finding the spa and finding parking. The spa was easy to find being right off the 210 freeway and across from Hastings Village. Instead of parking at the plaza or along the street, there is plenty of parking in the parking lot behind the spa. STAFF AND EXPERIENCE I couldn't be more pleased with the staff. As I walked into the door, I was welcomed with a warm greeting and was attended to right away. I told them I came for the internet special and wanted a haircut. The staff overall was professional and extremely friendly. They showed me around and the dressing rooms, restrooms, lockers, and showers were extremely clean. In a few minutes, I had my massage first. My masseuse was Rose and she was definitely an experienced masseuse that relieved all my knots and applied pressure to all the right points on my body. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep during the massage! It was a much needed massage and afterwards I felt so rejuvenated. Finally, I got my haircut. My stylist was Tina and I am already planning to have my next haircut appointment with her. She was very personable, listened to my instructions, offered advice, and most importantly gave me an amazing haircut! I was having trouble finding the hairstyle that fit me and after showing her some pictures of hairstyles I was interested in, we had a conversation on what haircut I was looking for and talked about what would look good with my face structure. Tina was very knowledgeable and definitely knew how to give an amazing haircut. It was apparent that Tina took her time with my haircut and really wanted me to be satisfied with my cut. I was really happy with the cut that Tina gave me because dang did she make me like good. CONCLUSION After the massage, facial, and a haircut I felt like a brand new man. This was something I really needed and Spa Sante exceeded my expectations.I highly highly recommend this Spa to anyone! I am looking forward to coming here again. My friend heard about the daily internet special from her friend and for the day I went, it was for a 60 minute massage and 45 minute facial for $99! What a deal! Surprisingly for a Saturday, we had no problems calling in the morning for a 2PM appointment. Plenty of parking in the back. We arrived just in time and quickly checked in. The staff was really friendly and showed us around. The dressing room and restroom areas were clean. They had a couple showers. The locks on the lockers were confusing that I ended up having to get it opened so make sure you read the instructions properly. I had my massage first and the therapist that I had was really good. I want to give her a shoutout, but I don't recall her name. :( I have to say she was the best I've had though! She was a petite lady with small hands, but knew how and where to apply pressure that she relieved all my knots. Felt so good afterwards that I felt really relaxed. Facial was also good. My friend referred me to Mr. Michael Gallego who worked at this cute hair salon. Best decision. He was a really honest guy who is truly passionate about hair. He's a talker and a good one at that! I have to start by saying I have never actually been to this location, but I am writing a review based on several phone calls with several of the staff (mostly with Kay). The photos online look like this is a beautiful spa and I visited their Newport location before it closed and it was great! Without going into too much unnecessary detail. This company doesn't know how to provide customer service. I purchased a gift card for a friend and she went to redeem the card and the staff is saying that it has been used by some random person. When I called to see if the staff/owner would "make it right" and see what they could do to honor the gift card, they were so rude. We still have the physical gift card but they are stating that we are not telling the truth because their system is showing it has been redeemed. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and unfortunately for the owner of this spa she has some really unprofessional staff working for her that she is going to have to live with. This company doesn't care about customer service which is funny because their whole premise is service based. I warn you not to do business with a company that doesn't act fairly and doesn't take their clients into consideration. There are plenty of other spas and small businesses that would appreciate your business more!! read more
