Went here twice while in Moab and might not be going back. There were bunch of unfriendly staffs who were just looking at us while we were trying to get help. We got to go order one day and the next day we dined in. Our server was very helpful and great. Food however was disappointing. We didn't expect to have amazing food right outside the national park, but overall food experience was bad. Spoke burgers were ok. My medium well burger was medium rare instead which gave me nausea. I couldn't finish it cuz I can't eat pink meat. Garden burger was good that my husband got. During dine in we ordered tomatoe basil soup. Boy! That was the WORST soup I've ever had in my life. It was cold, chewy, cheesy, and tasted nothing like tomato basil. Chicken wings came out in 5 min, probably stale and refried. It was dry as hell. Spinach artichoke dip was all cheese only. It tasted nothing like traditional artichoke dip. It was a waste of money. read more

Not that great of a place. The burgers are okay. They offer sauces with their burgers which are tasty. Someone in our group ordered the fettuccine Alfredo...it was terrible. Service was slow, which we understand inadequate staffing and COVID issues but it was bad. There was an hour wait at 98 Center restaurant nearby, so decided to quickly come here for some appetizers/drinks. Tuesday evening, lots of tables available in this giant establishment. Was able to get a table near the bar and after 5 minutes the waitress came around. Split the Sesame Ginger Wings ($16) and ordered the Nitro on tap ($4.75). Wings come out relatively fast and are smothered in the sweet tangy sauce and sesame seeds. Okay flavor and definitely overcooked; was better to eat while drinking the nitro porter. Service here was a bit slow - probably because of less staff during the offseason. Typical spot for drinks and pub food. read more

Came on a Wednesday night about 5:40 and got right in. The atmosphere and decor is awesome, brick walls, awesome light fixtures, exposed pipes. Our server came quickly and took our orders. There are lots of burgers, and also pastas, fish tacos and a few other options. There is a standard kids menu. Our table had the Pasta Carbona, Meatloaf, Pork sandwich, a build your own burger and a kids burger. Right when it was about to feel like our food should come it did. The pasta had an amazing flavor. My daughter said the pork sandwich was one of the best she has had and that it had a lot of flavor but wasn't too saucy. The burgers were cooked as ordered. My husband loved the meatloaf and said it had a great flavor. We ordered some ice cream and did have to wait a little longer for our server to come back as it was much busier by this point. We all loved our food. It is a bit more pricy than what you would think for burgers, but we were very happy to see at here after a day of walking around arches. read more

Wow wow wow! All I can say is WOW! They have some of the best burgers I have EVER had. I did not have to wait when I went, it was very quick to get a table, although the staff were a little slower in getting the food out. The atmosphere is awesome, and I love the bicycle wheel decor. I think it sets such an awesome vibe you don't want to leave. We got fries and sweet potato tots. I never tasted sweet potato tots like these before - they had so much crunch and seasoning to them that I was disappointed when I was finished. I ended up getting the Hawaiian burger (which actually has chicken) and I was so impressed. It was amazing! Everything about it was fresh, and they gave me a very big piece of pineapple. In fact, the pineapple was kind of roasted with the rest of the food, so it was warm, crunchy, and slightly burnt. It definitely made the fruit and the rest of the burger very sweet. We drove 25 minutes out of our way to go here. Got to the th restaurant at 9:25. They close at 10. The hostess curtly informs us that they're closing early due to a gas leak. Except... there's got to be about 40 customers between their indoor dining room and outdoor patio. Doesn't sound like a gas leak to me. I would 100% recommend this restaurant. For one, it's dog friendly. We sat on the patio with our dog j stead of taking him back to the hotel just to eat. The good was all really delicious and the service was awesome. Food came out hot & tasted fresh. The music was also on point, which is a huge draw because sometimes restaurant music is terrible. Just came for ice cream, and even though this is in the center of the tourist strip the prices were not too exorbitant. one very large scoop of homemade ice cream was only $2.75on a sugar cone. This joint is well-known about town and has a good menu with tasty food, despite a few hiccups in our visits. We came the first time for the Mac n' Cheese Poppers, which my husband had tried earlier this summer on his first visit. Unfortunately, they were out of mac and cheese when we came in at 7:15 because mac n' cheese was the special of the night. That was a big disappointment and felt like they should have planned better for orders if that was the nightly special, but we moved on. I ordered a make-your-own buffalo burger with goat and smoked Gouda cheese and grilled onions. The meat and toppings were flavorful and well cooked, though the toasted bun wan difficult for me to eat. The fries were very well seasoned and fit the style of food well. My husband ordered the fish and chips, which he enjoyed a great deal. The second time we came in for lunch and were pleased that they had mac and cheese to finally try the Mac n' cheese poppers! We were not disappointed. They're square (surprising) and fried with thin pieces of jalapeños. They were tasty and not very spicy except for a few bites directly into the pepper slices. They did get a little heavy as the meal went on but worth the splurge! This time they struggled with drinks, though. The waiter was friendly and quick and brought us our Coke and Dr. Pepper, but we immediately realized they were flat. As in absolutely no carbonation at all. I got his attention and told him about it, to which he said he'd noticed the fountain behind the bar had the same issue and that he'd have it corrected real quick. We continued with our waters until our food came. A few minutes later he said his manager was working on fixing the fountain and would bring us drinks soon. Long story short, we finished our meals without carbonated beverages. When he came back by, I told him to just take them off the check, which he did along with insisting on a 10% discount for the trouble. We thought that was a very kind gesture since we were just wanting to ensure we weren't charged. But it was a touch frustrating given that it was the start of their day--they'd literally opened ten minutes before we were sat--and never fit for our drinks. They felt a bit pricey to me, but that could be a combination of fresher, local ingredients and tourist pricing. My custom burger ran around $16 and a meal for two with an appetizer and waters was $27. All in all, it's a modern space with a decent menu and a few unique dishes, and the staff is very friendly. But they have a few kinks that crop up to have been around for a while. So have a little patience and be open-minded if you give it a go for a tasty meal in town! read more

PLEASE READ--ESPECIALLY MY UPDATES BELOW!!! Over-priced and over-cooked! I'm not sure how they are getting such high reviews. Don't get rooked by bad food and high prices! We ordered burgers which I specifically asked be cooked medium. Not only was it not cooked medium, but it was so over-cooked, it was dry and tasteless. I ordered the $13 Smokey Shroom burger. So besides my dry patty, the one slice of Gouda cheese that came on it was clearly a commercial packaged cheese that was sliced razor thin. The mushrooms were also burned. Oh did I mention that, for $13, you only get a burger with no sides? The $2 vegetable side order was incredibly salty and sparse. High margin on the few pieces of veggies I got! Had it only been me, I might have written it off as just one bad entree but others in my party ordered other entrees (other burgers, fish tacos, salads) and all were not so good. Regardless of entree, it was all bland, dry and over-cooked. They say on the menu that they try to source their food locally as much as possible. It's nice wording that allows them room to source whatever from wherever as long as they "tried". I question how much really is sourced non-frozen. That's just me. The decor is nice but doesn't match the food. Don't be fooled by the nice exterior and decor. I repeat: Don't get rooked by bad food and high prices! Update: see the unprofessional response from Joseph (Manager) of Spoke restaurant below. It's exactly the type of response one would expect from a low-quality, poorly-run establishment. It completely reinforces my review. Joseph's insults also show he does not understand the purpose and foundation of Yelp. I'll let fellow Yelpers decide on whether Joseph deserves your patronage. Update 2 (7/15/17): apparently Joseph deleted his response after my previous update. That is indicative of how unprofessional and inappropriate it was. Don't be fooled by its deletion in an attempt to hide lack of accountability for this restaurant's all around poor quality. Update 3 (7/17/17): now Joseph has decided to post another reply to my review with LIES about not seeing or replying to my post before to literally accuse me of lying. How would I have known his name? If only I had screen captured his earlier response two days ago. Fortunately, I have learned. Ok. This place single-handedly made me doubt almost all of my past restaurant reviews. BEST MEATLOAF ON THE PLANET (wrapped in bacon and topped with gravy and onion straws--the meatloaf, not the planet). The food here makes me think I have given too generous reviews at other places. I was in town for a work assignment during the first weekend restaurants reopened during the pandemic. Very clean. Tables appropriately spaced. Disposable menus. Did not take cups to refill but gave new cups on refills. Tables completely sprayed upon vacancy. Back to the food. Something for everyone. We had meatloaf, specialty hamburgers, shrimp scampi, fish tacos, salad, and loaded fries. Come for the meatloaf meal, but some may want to enjoy other items. Large serving sizes. Negative was the service. Extremely slow, but forgivable being the first weekend back open for seating. read more

Well, I can't review the food because we walked out before even sitting down for longer than .5 seconds. The restaurant was mostly empty downstairs and we were seated at a 2 top that was shoved up against a wall by the stairs. Since the stair railing is open, foot traffic is at your eye and junk from people's feet would be coming into your food/table. I asked if we could sit in a table across from that where we would be less likely to see feet as we ate and was told we could sit in the 2 top that was right behind the original table with the same issue. I asked again to sit at the table in the middle of the restaurant and was now told I could sit at the bar.... Which was dirty.... There's also an entire bar on the other side of the restaurant so if I had wanted to sit at a bar, I could've seated myself... The girl said she would clean it and I asked a 3rd time if I could sit at the one table that wasn't dirty or going to have feet in my face and she just looked at me and started wiping the bar down so we left. Went at 815pm on a Sunday night to get ice cream at the outside window. There was a large party in front of us, maybe 10 people. The line moved really slow. Each time a person ordered a milk shake it took over 10 minutes. We ended up waiting over an hour for ice cream. There was another few families behind ours that asked if they could have a second employee help out and the employee yelled at them and then gave them a sign to hold that said last person in line. Too many semi's and Harley's revving their engines but if you like that like of thing then it's for you. They don't have steak, lots of burger choices, and lots of love. This was our absolute favorite place in Moab so we went twice in four days. The food is so amazing with sauces and even breading for the chicken that is made in-house combined with fresh ingredients. Marie was our very attentive and friendly server who helped us through the extensive menu with something for every palate. She suggested the Hot Bird which was perfect and exactly what I needed along with a Spoke Margarita after a long hike. My husband had a Black and Bleu Burger with added mushrooms that was on par as one of the best ever. We ate outside which was great with the misters spraying, but inside is also cute and has AC as well as a tv over the bar. Marie gave us updates on the local history and more in Moab; we felt that we had made a new friend by the time we left. The Spoke on Center is not to be missed. read more

While going through Moab on our way to Lake Powell, we decided to stop and get lunch. Where, is the question! I googled and came up with a place that turned out to be a joint where you walk up, order, then wait outside with about 25 of your closest friends while two people inside prepare your food. Great reviews, hot sun, long wait...no thanks. Next? Having a taste for American food, burgers and what not, we decided to go back onto the main strip to The Spoke on Center. What you may or not know about me (okay, I know you don't know...) is that I'm a lifelong vegetarian. Born and raised. While I've tried lots of different types of meats, I don't care for it. Never developed a taste, etc. etc. No, to answer your question, I really, really, don't ever get a craving for a good steak. But I digress. After perusing the menu, I decided on the black bean veggie burger. A solid choice 90% of the time. This faux burger was good. I can't complain about anything other than it was mildly underseasoned. But that's nit picking. Here's where the problem showed itself. I flipped the burger over to put mayo on the bottom bun and there were a couple of large chunks of the veggie burger stuck to the bun. I thought! I grabbed one and popped it in my mouth. Let me tell you something else that you're not likely to know. Meat has a texture that is very distinctive. It's that more than taste that bothers me with meat. What I popped in my mouth was not black bean burger. It was definitely real four-footed critter. My taste is not discerning enough to know if it was grass-fed beef or buffalo, but black bean, it was not! I took the second chunk off and put it aside, enjoying the rest of my meal. It was good. One quick aside that's not really an aside. The cheese that I ordered for my burger didn't even cover the patty. And it was a thin slice o' cheese too. Same for the avocado that I was charged $2 for. Not even a quarter of the fruit, I say. Skimpy on the toppings, no way around that. My sister sitting across from me was a restaurant manager in the day, so I asked her, "Pop quiz. As a manager, do you want to know if you're kitchen put chunks of meat on a vegetarian order?" She replied that *she* would want to know, but it really depends on the manager. Some just don't care. Time to get the measure of the manager on duty! I mean, here's the reality. Who cares if a veggie burger is good in a hamburger place, amiright? But the question is: how do they handle customers when something goes wrong. That's the question. I told our server that I needed to talk to the manager and assured him that I wanted to rave about him for the amazing job he was doing. When the manager came over, I knew what I was dealing with. I get the measure of a person pretty quickly and before I started talking, I realized that I was pretty much spitting in the wind. I explain the situation, without making a big deal, just say that it was something that she might want to address with the cooks. Without missing a beat, she began making excuses for why you almost had to expect it. Same cooking surface, blah, blah, blah. Yup, I know. Sweetheart, believe me, I completely grasp the situation. Enough said. On purpose, I didn't propose that she do this or that to make it right. A good manager who runs a tight ship will make no excuses but offer to comp the meal, and assure the customer that their dining experience is the most important thing. She didn't apologize. She didn't offer to make it right. She walked away as if there were nothing for her to do with a customer in her shop who'd had something go amiss. And I forgot to rave about our server to her. She probably didn't care about that either. Honorable mention goes to Ugur (pronounced Uuuuuhr) who was a self-proclaimed newbie. I have to imagine that he's new to that restaurant, not to waiting tables, because he was good. A bit slow coming back to take our order and bring the bill, but that may just be his non-American (he's from Turkey, I found out while making conversation) background. In other parts of the world, it's considered rude to bring a bill before the customers ask for it! So there you have it! The food's good enough. The manager - at least one of them - doesn't much care. About anything, if things go wrong. read more

This place was average. We were sat immediately. It seemed rather slow for an early Saturday afternoon but figured that would work in our favor. It took almost ten minutes for our server to greet us; we actually started a timer because we were planning on leaving at the exact ten minute mark. He came with 30 seconds to spare. He was fairly attentive after that. My boyfriend and I split the macaroni bites and fish tacos. The Mac bites were delicious, each and every one of them! The fish tacos however were extremely mediocre, luckily we swapped the rice for fries and they were top notch. They had an option for contactless menus, which was cool. On our last night in Moab, we stopped in at the Spoke. We started off with Macaroni Poppers appetizers which are stuffed with jalapeños and fried. These are pretty tasty if in the mood for something a little different. My husband ordered the Fish & Chips, which were hand battered in house. He said it was delicious. I ordered the Meatloaf that was made with beef, sausage and chorizo, then wrapped in bacon. It was pretty tasty! Definitely more than I could eat. Good service. Overall recommend. read more

We went here for ice cream, I asked to use the restrooms while my husband and child ordered some ice cream. The restrooms were so dirty and unclean. My husband and son received some attitude from the waitress serving ice cream but we brushed it off due to working a holiday. They had ordered their ice cream, and I ended up going to order mine separate. I waited patiently for the window on the side to open, but they kept just ignoring me by the window. I went inside and asked to order some ice cream, but was turned away by another employ for no reason. They said," we don't have anyone doing ice cream." Which makes me disappointed that as a place that serves it to not be able to have a great experience. Not coming here again. read more
