We each ate half of the salad and took the remaining home. The place was quiet with only one other table seated. We were able to converse with each other in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. For a chain, these guys have very decent "Works" pie! A medium goes for about $13. Can I get a better version at a private pizza joint? They have parking spots directly in front of their door. I blow in say "Medium Works to go" and proceed to have a pleasant short chat with the always nice employees. In about 15 minutes or less I'm out the door and gone. The crust is cooked nicely. The sauce is mildly spicy. The toppings are plentiful. They like to use red onions which add a little different touch of color which I like. One of these days, I'm going to grab a few friends and send them out to purchase 4 or 5 "Works" pies from different places and we'll have a little contest. I'm betting these guys will do well. It took me maybe two minutes and my sammich was out in about five more. No choice but five stars! Food- So they bake their own rolls here which is a big plus. The gold standard for cheesesteak is an Amoroso roll from the Philadelphia area. These are not that but very good. There was plenty of tender meat with no fatty pieces. Good stuff! Here they add peppers onions & mushrooms, and I have no problem with that, and they were tasty. They use White American cheese, and it was tasty and there was plenty of it. Now for something weird and wonderful. A couple of years ago a good friend asked me to try adding pepperoni to my cheesesteak. I did and it was awesome! I've been doing it ever since and this time it costs me an extra buck. The basic sandwich is $11.99. I brought this bad boy home, and you can see my picture. I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. I even use car-side delivery so it's super convenient! Ambience- Clean and neat and that's enough said. App- There is almost always a deal available. Customer Service- The tracker on the app works great and they are virtually always on time for my pickup. The folks are polite and I virtually always get a smile. Food- This visit I ordered a large MeatZZa for $10 which is a great deal. As usual it was baked perfectly as you can see from my picture. It was tasty and great value.
