The seafood potato has the snell of old seafood. Also the chicken fajita was disgusting. Freshness is not here!

Customer Service is really good. I was helped by a younger women at the register, very nice. I ordered a seafood spud and though it looked good the food didn't taste as good. The spud was missing flavor. My spud has crawfish, shrimp and crab and it was still bland. Also the shrimp is frozen cooked pink shrimp. Maybe if the ingredients were fresher it would be better. The ambiance is quiet, it's not busy, pretty empty. They have potential but this wasn't it. I only came because Spudlys in Metairie was closed today. Would I go back.... probably not

This is THE BEST BAKED POTATO I've ever had in my life!!!! This place is truly a hidden gem located on the Westbank of New Orleans in a small strip mall! Serving up GIANT potatoes stuffed with all the works! My brother in law and I tried the Spinach & Artichoke (add bacon, of course) and the Chicken Alfredo potatoes. The spinach & artichoke was similar to a dip served on a potato topped with cheese and chives. The chicken alfredo potato was grilled chicken smothered in a creamy Alfredo sauce topped with cheese and chives. Both potatoes were cooked all the way through to perfection! Customer service was excellent! Staff answered all of my questions courteously and accommodated me well as I requested cheese on the side. This is definitely a great spot for lunch or a weekend test with the family! Extensive menu, dine in or carry out, and QUALITY!

Found on Yelp Ordered "Dat Cajun" spud based on reviews and the ingredients listed on the menu. It was a big potato but not huge. The sauce was spicy as the menu says. The staff was a bit rude while taking orders. Adding extras must be an issue for some customers. Added extra scallions (they called them chives and they are not the same thing, related yes but different) and she said there was a charge. I said fine. My friend ordered her potato and added a different protein and an extra cheese and she said they are extra. The tone she kept saying it in made us respond with we know things cost extra and if we ask for it we are willing to pay for it. The potato was filling and it was spicy and ultimately had to pour some of the oil off to enjoy the potato the ingredients were drowned in it. You can tell by the photo I will add. The corn was overcooked and the sausage was just okay. Id be okay not going here again based on the service. Especially after seeing the next customer treated so much nicer than us.

I usually love spud spot but I haven't been for a few months, usually everything is wonderful but this last time i went my good was cold & my snowball was dry also they didn't close my food properly so all my butter was all over the bag and on my food container

At first I was like, "Why are we having potatoes for lunch?" But boy oh boy was this lunch delish! You can sub for the sweet potato version if they have any in stock if you're into the healthier stuff. From the potato choices, you can either have the half or full version. I had the crawfish potato while my friend had the meat & cheese. With his option, you can choose your meat and cheese. I believe he chose ham as his meat, but I am unsure of his cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, and Swiss?). Cheese is cheese at this point once it's loaded onto a potato full of other stuff. lol. My crawfish potato was delicious as heck! It was smothered in margarine, cheese, and other unhealthy flavors. His was a bit more dry, but pretty good as it was more on the normal side of what a potato should be. There are also snowballs as dessert if your stomach can hold anymore food. The staff was sweet, cordial, and friendly. This was a small place to sit and eat, but it could hold about 15 folks? Parking was plentiful since this was in a complex so no worries about this aspect.

    Snowball

We just left from there! The snow balls are on point! Of course you know we had to get the condense milk, tiger blood, sour apple, hurricane. Liz was the best. Po boys were hot and ready bake potatoes were massive and full! No complaints here. Thanks Liz, they don't have this kind of service in California.

It's always nice to find a place that offers a little something different instead of the usual tourist fare. I went with the Shrimp Carbonara, and the portion size was impressive. The dish was loaded with large, juicy shrimp and packed with flavor. It was one of those meals that looks great when it arrives and somehow tastes even better once you dig in. The service was quick, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly, which was appreciated after a day of exploring. My only minor critique--and this is purely personal preference--would be that I would have preferred the shrimp tails removed. It certainly didn't take away from the meal, though. In fact, it led to one of the funniest moments of the trip when I squeezed a tail to remove it and accidentally launched it across the table toward one of my buddies. Thankfully, my aim was terrible, but the table got a good laugh out of it. Great food, generous portions, fast service, and a fun atmosphere. If you're looking for a solid meal while in New Orleans, Red Dog Diner is definitely worth a visit.

Every single thing was a star. One of the things I love about NOLA is you can get a crawfish cream sauce at five different places, every one of them equally delicious, and somehow none of them taste the same. Joey K's version is exactly why. The eggplant was perfectly crispy on the outside with a tender center, and that crawfish cream sauce tied everything together. The hamburger steak was cooked perfectly and covered in house-made brown gravy that tasted like somebody's grandma still has the recipe. Comfort food done right. The fried green tomatoes might have been my favorite. The batter had an unexpected little hint of sweetness that paired beautifully with the grilled shrimp and remoulade. The French bread came out fresh and exactly what you want with good butter. Service was a hit. The place was spotless as an old school place can be. And I always love seeing the Simon folk art signs on the walls, they're part of the Joey K's experience for me. We cleaned every plate, which tells you everything you need to know. When a table full of locals leaves with nothing but empty plates, that's about the best review you can give.

The interior was spacious and airy, with plenty of colorful artwork and signs all around. There was a Chalkboard with the specials of the day. From the specials menu, I ordered the Voodoo Catfish (full fried filet) with Crawfish Mac and cheese with seasonal vegetable, which was Sweet Peas. I also got a Cup of Jambalaya (half portion). The Catfish was absolutely delicious. It was oh so light, irresistibly crispy, flaky, and well seasoned. Mac and Cheese was satisfyingly cheesy with flavorful crawfish. Sweet Peas were cooked perfectly and just the right consistency with a slight pop of sweetness. Jambalaya had chicken, sausage, and shrimp. The dish could have used more shrimp and seasoning. Service was solid. Our waitress was welcoming and knew the menu well. Everything was very reasonably priced. I was so full at the end of the meal, I didn't have room for dessert, but would like to try the Blackberry Cobbler.

To start, this is not in a location I would ever have made it too without a Groupon. But I will be back! It's deep into an industrial area of Gretna facing the levee. It's not picturesque, but the interior (from what I could see through the window as they are closed for now due to Covid) looks like a fun, spacious almost retro dining area. We found the order window and rang the bell for service. One woman is handling orders and she gave us the option to call in to avoid standing in the rain but we gave our orders at the window. A lil poppa, big poppa and large potato wedges with honey bbq sauce ( DONT GET THE LARGE, it's craziness, small is plenty for two). The service was fast and we ate at the picnic benches under the over hang. Burgers were well seasoned and appropriately sized for the price/description). Good toppings, sauce and buns. I would love to try the onion rings, chicken and waffles and chicken sandwich. I'm impressed and would recommend this for all burger lovers!! Oh, and that deep fried bacon was perfectly delicious too! The value is there!!

I visited with a friend from Louisiana, who is now living in the DC area. We decided to splurge and try a few things. The Big Poppa Bacon Burger is a must! It's their signature burger. Big, grilled well, flavorful, soft bun, and plentiful bacon. We also sprang for their Louisiana Fried Chicken and Waffles. They did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and juicy and perfectly paired with the sweet waffle. As if we hadn't splurged enough, we ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake to wash it all down. This diner does not skimp on ingredients. Definitely a great place to visit and enjoy local fare. The only downside is that dining curbside is in a not so aesthetic area.
