Can't believe it took me so long to finally experience the food here. It was surprisingly good! Love that it is organic. The inside was very clean and I loved the turquoise color scheme. I've visited Tocaya before, but this time I tried their shrimp ceviche and it was so good!! Loved the sauce and the chips on the side make it even better. This was my first time visiting this location. I'm a regular at the Toluca Lake location by my job. Tocaya does a wonderful job with their decor and color choices at their restaurants. This location is beautiful. It's spacious, has comfortable seats and is located in a very beautiful shopping plaza!! I received great service as usual, I asked how the horchata is and was quickly given a sample! Love the baja tacos and vegan queso dip!!...it's hard to believe it's vegan!! Great chips as well. The horchata served in a cute glass mug was delicious!!...good for them that they don't offer free refills! My tacos were definitely well done, but luckily for them I'm a big fan of crunchy !! Excellent taco Tuesday! 3 tacos, a margarita, and chips and salsa weren't more than $25. The food was super fresh, my cauliflower taco was stellar. I wish I had gotten two. I'm usually not a fan of corn tortillas but these were very soft. I only knocked off a star because my food came super quick, but it was 10 minutes before my friend's came. Not a huge deal, but definitely noticeable to the point we almost went up to the counter to check it hadn't been forgotten. read more

Wow! I never thought there could be a worse Tocaya than the one that closed on Sunset or the one that closed in Westwood or the one that closed in the Beverly Center, but yep I found one. Took over 30 minutes for our food and when we questioned what took so long the server threw our food on the table and said it was only 13 minutes. She then stormed off. Air conditioning barely working and the salad was so bad I sent it back. When asked for a manager I was told he doesn't work today. Hardly anyone in the restaurant I guess this is the next one to close. In all fairness the Century City and Hollywood places are good. My brother comes here for Taco Tuesday every week. The deals are great and the service is awesome. The staff here is very nice and efficient. My husband loves the birria street tacos and the birria torta. My brother loves the chicken tinga, guacamole, and street corn. My daughter and I love the chicken achiote street tacos, guacamole, and street corn. Unfortunately, you can't order the taco Tuesday deal in advance for pickup, but the service is usually pretty fast, so you don't have to wait long for your order, especially if you dine in. But the food has consistently been disappointing, even after giving it multiple chances--and tonight was the last one for us. We tried several of the newer items and nothing landed. The new ceviche had zero flavor--basically just lime juice and that's it. The red pozole was served room temperature (what?), and the beef tacos came out chilled. Even the Mexican corn was also room temp. Nothing tasted right, and the temperatures alone made it hard to enjoy. Always great & friendly service. My organic meal was fresh and tasty, which came out in no time! The Shops at Sportsmen's Lodge offers 90 minutes of free parking. But with it being a shopping center, and Xmas around the cornerparking was slim. During my last visit they had run out of the rice I like to have with my Salmon Bowl. I was given a complimentary salsa & chips, while they cooked up more rice, and offered a parking voucher, in case my visit ran over 90 minutes. Now that's GREAT service!! read more

First time at this location. The interior seating area is wonderful, nice and spacious. They also have outside seating which looked great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were very fast at cleaning up after diners left which is a huge plus! I had the Street Corn en Fuego bowl and a Las Hermanas taco. The taste of the bowl was good, I only wish it was a bit spicier or it had a nice salsa with it. The taco was just ok but I am super picky when it comes to tacos. I also had the guacamole and plantain chips which were finger licking good! Overall the ambiance was fantastic, the service was top notch but the food lacked the flavor I expect from good Mexican food. My favorite place to eat! I love this spot so much! I eat here at least 2-3 times a month. I always get the nachos (however, they only come when you order them for delivery, you can't order in store) there's so many options that are healthy, vegan and gluten free! They need some signage or something to explain this!?! Confusing. Everything we ordered was soooo fresh and tasty! The steak taco and the plantain chips were my favorites, but the birria taco, fish taco and flower taco were great, as were the tortilla chips, guacamole and the queso dip. My family and I got the Guiltless burrito, the House Quesadillas, the Burrito Mexicano, the Asada Tacos and a Cucumber Mint Limade. The asada tacos were fresh however, I do wish the carne asada was a bit more seasoned. They were a bit lacking on taste. The Housequesadilla was delectable. It comes along with a sauce and complimented it well. The Burrito Mexicano was DEVOURED by my picky father. I didn't even get the chance to taste it but I can assume it's that good! The guiltless burrito, was also tasty, refreshing, and all of the ingredients worked perfectly together. Lastly, the cucumber mint limeade was the perfect cherry on top of the meal. Great service, very friendly, and super efficient but the food is unfortunately quite mediocre. I've now tried a good amount of items here (taco, burrito, bowl, and salad) and they're all very very mediocre. I'm not sure if the lack of flavor is due to Tocaya being "healthier" but I can definitely say there are much better options for Mexican food in LA and the Studio City area. I got food poisoning on 2/16/2026... I ordered the FAJITA DEL REY bowl at around 4 30 pm . Around 8 pm I started to feel nauseous and around 11 I started to vomit... in general i never vomit when I am sick, the last time I vomited was 7 years ago from food poisoning...
