Our experiences at The Stand are consistently marked by excessive waits. On a previous visit, we had a 25 minute delay for our burgers after our shakes were served. Tonight, the service was even worse. We ordered two shakes and ONE hot dog. While the shakes appeared quickly within five minutes, we were waiting over 35 minutes for that single hot dog until we finally gave up. What makes this so aggravating is watching other customers - including a young couple and even an entire youth sports team who arrived 15 minutes after us - receive their food well before ours... which never did appear. The operational disarray is clear. We demanded a full refund and will not be returning to The Stand. read more

The Stand is awesome! The customer service is usually spot on and friendly, always making sure your table is bussed and that you have what you need. Food arrives pretty quickly. I love the free pickles and the freedom to customize items on the menu pretty easily. Quality of the food is always solid and delicious. The fries are ON POINT! Met up with two friends for dinner on a weeknight. It was very busy when we arrived--found out it was fundraiser night for a school. Lots of kids and parents all around. There was quite a wait to order and in getting our food but it wasn't too bad. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for an indoor booth seating. My friend and I shared the short rib grilled cheese and the Cobb salad. I'm glad we did because the grilled cheese sandwich was pretty filling. The sandwich was good but don't think I could have eaten the entire order. The Cobb salad had a lot going on but was also on the heavier side for a salad. I also got myself a cookies n cream milkshake which wasn't bad but nothing to rave about. Good spot for casual eat and hang out. Can be loud inside if it's busy. Ordered take out and my name was never called and the food just sat on the take out shelf behind the counter while my wife and I waited 30min for our food. When we finally asked for the food we got it cold and soggy. They should have buzzers or make sure the people who order in person for take out get the food before the put it on the back shelf with the door dash orders. Also the burger was order well done and came very pink not even medium. We took a couple bits and threw the food away. Wasted $50. Also the menu inside above the counter where you place your order is installed directly over your head so you can't even read the menu when you're standing in front of the register placing your order. My boyfriend and I were craving burgers on Monday night and have been sick of our other options. We decided to try The Stand together and had a great experience! The counter staff are all very professional and my burger was perfect, despite quite a few modifications due to an allergy. We actually ended up coming back for dinner last night as well! My sandwich came out wrong, with an ingredient I can't eat. I'd say it was partly my fault for ordering in a convoluted way. The staff member who helped me was super understanding and had a brand new sandwich made for me. In a few minutes he brought it out to our table, piping hot and perfectly made. I typically won't say anything if my food is wrong, but I don't have a choice now with my allergy. It was very nice to not be treated like an inconvenience and kindly accommodated. We definitely understand why the restaurant is as packed as it gets! Kind, competent staff and delicious food. First time at The Stand in Westlake Village and honestly? I was impressed. The place is spotless--super clean, sleek design, and just a great vibe overall. It feels more like a fast-casual bistro than your typical chain spot. You walk in and instantly feel like you're in good hands (and good taste). My kids devoured their burgers (no small feat), and my husband got the chipotle bowl, which he thought was his--until I helped myself to more than half. It was unreal. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, everything tasted made-to-order and solid across the board. The only downside? The wait. It took over 30 minutes to get our food, which was a lot--especially with hangry kids in tow. My friends got a salad and a wrap and my wife and I split a Stand burger and the kale quinoa salad. The salad was great with a really refreshing dressing. The burger was super tasty. The patty was juicy and it had a good amount of sauce in combination with the greens. They have a large selection of menu items so there is something for everyone. You also have the option to build your own burger & they have fun jams and add ons you can spruce it up with! Burger is super similar to the habit just a bit better quality I'd say. Great variations of burgers on the menu. Food has been excellent. Quality is consistent which can be rare these days. On a side note, one of the few burgers that our kid can polish off an adult cheeseburger each time. Really chilled out location, with booths and tables. Several big screens dotted around. The Stand is my favorite cheat meal spot. Burgers, fries, shakes..what's not to love? The burgers always hit hard, which is impressive given the amount of variety on offer. No matter the variant, the burgers are always balanced, with the condiments complimenting rather than overwhelming the beefy flavor from the patty. I'm a big fan of getting the Ultimate Egg Burger and subbing in the jalapeño scallion aioli. Their fries are great, too, whether regular or sweet potato. I'll stop short of recommending the fire fries, though. Those are..not good and need to be reworked as a menu item. Special shoutout to their shakes. They're a major motivator in my regularly wanting to come back (like I said: it's my cheat meal). Big fan of the cookie butter, but I try to order what they have for specials as well. If they have the toasted marshmallow shake when you go, don't pass on it! I've been here at all different times of the day/week, and it can definitely get busy at the expected times: Friday and Saturday nights, after kids' ballgames, etc. Even when they're busy, though, the service is always relatively quick. I've never sat around waving my number and wondering where my food is. There is definitely an efficient operation being executed in the back. Another note about its busy times: it's a pretty large restaurant, so it fits quite a bit of people. Because of that, it can get a little louder inside, but it's never unbearable like Crawford's down the street. The chicken club was packed with a large chicken breast - bacon, avocado, arugula, tomato, sweet chili aioli, gourmet brioche bun - however mine was missing the bacon! We came here on a Sunday afternoon and ordered French onion soup burger, sweet pepper & steak salad and the coffee toffee milk shake. We waited about 10-15 mins which is not too bad considering everything is made fresh. Love love the French onion soup burger - it's like dipped sandwich on steroids. The flavor is so rich and the crispy onion really adds texture to the whole burger. Sweet pepper steak salad is also bomb - steak is cooked and seasoned perfectly and the dressing is on point. It's really yummy with sweet pepper, corn and crispy quinoa. Fire fries is pretty good also - it's a bit on the spicy side but the house made ranch sauce really balanced it out. We used a bogo coupon which makes it a super good deal. But even without the coupon I think the price is very reasonable for what we get. Will definitely come back for more! read more

This is my 2nd time trying The Stand. The first time was in San Juan Capistrano with several of my girlfriends and I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries with a DELICIOUS blueberry lemonade drink. The burger was big, juicy and cooked perfectly, with sautéed onions and crunch onions so the texture was perfect. This time, I ordered a Chopped Chinese Chicken salad and blueberry lemonade. The salad was fresh, crisp romaine lettuce, large pieces of roasted chicken, wonton strips and crispy rice noodles. The dressing was tangy with a bite and made the salad refreshing, tasty and quite filling. Both experiences were great; attentive service, quick delivery of food, and good quality ingredients! The restaurant locations were both clean are set up pretty much the same. You Order. Pay. Get a Number. Grab some yummy dill pickles and wait for the tray of food to be delivered to your table. It looks like they do a big takeaway business too, which is good to know. I will definitely search out other locations while traveling! read more

The cut was nice but it tasted average. I got the new veggie burger. Great flavor. The ginger green beans were pretty good. I think some things on the menu are very good but some are just okay. We came in for Lunch on Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. I had not been to this store before and I was impressed at how clean and organized it is. The counter staff were very helpful and made ordering a breeze. Shoutout to Jacob, he is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered an Onion Soup burger medium rare and an Onion Stack medium well. Food was perfect, no complaints here. The restaurant is customer focused. Very unusual for this type of establishment. We were contacted by staff at least four times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. And they even bus! Overall a great experience and we'll be back to try more of the menu. read more

I just want to take a moment to thank the staff and ownership of THE STAND @ Westlake Village. Last month on June 3rd, for the first time I did a take away order there. Unfortunately at the time, it was not a great experience, and at the time I wrote an honest review here on yelp. The next day ownership and managment contacted me directly about my posting. In fact they immediately offered to correct the issue and not only credited the part of the meal ordered that was incorrectly prepared but also offered a voucher for a future order. Honestly i felt bad at the time, because the review was posted to a different area, not THE WLV Restaurant. I have tried to recall that original post, but have been unable to figure that out. Today Yelp sent me this link to make this right. I'm happy to say that the offer from the Stand managment to make things right impressed me greatly, and look forward to the next opprtunity to dine there again.
