Was looking for a quick and easy early dinner. Saw this in Yelp and had driven by it a few times and decided to try it out. Service was awesome! A gentleman, I think his name was Geo, helped us order. He was great! Helped me pick my sandwich and gave me suggestions. Super friendly and made the whole experience all the better! Went there today and left disappointed and grossed out! The staff was super friendly and attentive. My daughter and I both had burgers and they were not good at all. They lacked seasoning and flavor. The fries and milkshake were the best part of the meal. The most disappointing part was when we walked out a man had his dog sitting on the booth with him!!! First time trying this place, I ordered the French onion soup burger. Be warned, it's double the salt due to the haystack onions inside of it. You'll need to add a few sauces in there to tone down the salt. My boyfriend ordered the ABC (avocado, bacon and cheddar) which was extremely good! The ABC has a bit of crunch due to the bacon. The patties are smash burger style and it seems like everything was made from scratch. The fries and the patties. The only thing I don't agree with is the burgers don't come with fries/no combo deal. It's $3.75 if you just want the regular Stand Fries. The service was pretty quick and the staff were super nice. The crowd for a Sunday afternoon was pretty decent and they don't have the music blasting loudly. Overall, it was a nice experience. I'd come back here again and just get a burger. read more

2.5/5. Would not come back. We ordered 2 burgers (French Onion Dip and Stand Burger) along with Fire Fries and regular fries and 2 fountain drinks. I wanted a 7up or Sierra Mist and had told the person ordering before he gave me the cups. When I tried to fill up my cup with said drink, it tasted flavorless and no carbonation whatsoever. I went back and told the person who took my order and he said he would look into it. 20 minutes go by and our burgers didn't come out, I went back and asked. Nothing and no apologies or offer to refund my soda. At 30 mins or so our burgers finally came out and I told the person who brought us our burgers and he quickly asked the bar to fix it. He came back and said they are out of 7up / Sierra Mist and offered to make it right. The burgers were mediocre but the way they initially handled the situation without any follow up is incredibly disappointing. If you sell a product, please make sure you can deliver or refund your customer asap. It would save them if the burgers were actually good and came out fast. We went there with a big group around 5:30pm. There was plenty of seating outside and thankfully, they have heaters. I ordered the Jalapeño burger and regular fries. Both were incredibly delicious! My mom ordered the tuna melt but she didn't like the non traditional way they made it. One of the workers saw she brought her tray in and asked her what was wrong and he offered to make her something else and fresh onion rings. Such great customer service. They got slammed at a certain point but the employees all looked friendly and ready to help the guests. I would recommend this place! read more

Absolutely my favorite fast food place in California! Great cocktails AND milkshakes AND food!! I always get the teriyaki chicken bowl, and my brother always tries a new burger. No complaints at all. The food is rich and colorful with lots of flavor. I forgot to take a picture of my food, but it was so good that I remade it myself at home! The only difference in my DIY teriyaki bowl is no mushrooms and white rice instead of purple rice. The employees give me free pickles or chips while I wait for my food! read more

Love this place! The food is amazing, freshly grilled burgers with all kinds of variety. I love the ultimate egg burger and the stand burger, but my favorite is their kettle chips and onion rings! My wife is a fan of their salad. The staff are always super helpful and friendly, Sal is always taking my order and bringing me the food with a smile! The outdoor patio is great for summer. It has all the fixings versus other places that just put the veggie patty between buns and call it a day. The food and drinks here are really good. I've ordered the southwest wrap and the Cobb salad and they are 10:10. If you are a sauce person I think you would enjoy it but if service is important to you I wouldn't recommend you don't come here. The first time I came it was for a school fundraiser and I mentioned it to the person taking the order but they forgot to put it on the receipt. When the food came out the brought 2/3 of it and then 15 min later brought out the last part. The second time I ordered here it was an online order where one of the items I had ordered was a burger w and extra patty (that I paid for). Upon getting home I realized that they hadn't put the extra patty on the meal. Today I went in for the third time (again the food is really good) but when we ordered 2/3 of the food came out and the last third of the meal came out out 15 min later. Everything else was cold at this point. I brought it up to the manager and he said that the food can take 20-30 min to come out on a Friday or Saturday. If that is the case please don't bring out a majority of the food early bc it will be cold by the time everything else comes out. Tbh I was livid. They need better planning for their food serving. My husband and I saw this place had just opened so we decided to give it a try! We both worked in the food industry before, and during a store opening, so we prepared our expectations to be very understanding of the trials that naturally come with being new. WOW we were blown away by how great our experience was. The staff were incredibly friendly! Generously so. Shoutout to Maria and Delilah for being so kind and helpful! We got a table right by the window. Everything looked so clean -- and our wait wasn't too long at all either. The atmosphere was very relaxed as we caught up on our day. When our food came the server clarified what everything was (pointing out which sauce was what). We both were caught up in how picturesque everything was. We instantly got our phones out and took pictures. We shared our two sides of Mac n cheese and fries (free thanks to the promotion of downloading the app!). My husband said that the buffalo chicken sandwich he ordered might also be the best he's ever had. The frozen paloma was also delicious. A kind staff member came over to clear our plates at the end and asked how we liked our food. She stayed for at least 30 seconds as we struck up a follow up conversation it was just so friendly. --I keep saying friendly, but it is the perfect word to describe our encounters with everyone on staff. When we both left, we already made plans to come back this weekend. I am sure a team of trainers, practice sessions, and exercising patience went into getting ready for this opening. I knew I had to do this. Tonight, I'm in the South Bay Area. I'm here at The Stand - American Classics Redefined, right off W Capitol Expy. I'm here for a Seared Ahi Tuna salad, and some Honey BBQ Chicken Wings. It was really good Seared Tuna, it was Sushi Grade. I like how the Fish was sliced thick, like a Steak. It's healthy, balanced, nutritious, fresh, and there was a lot of different contrasting flavors and textures. The Chicken Wings were fire. I've had a lot of versions of it, and this is probably the best one so far. And I really like the Dipping Sauce, it got that Zang to it. I would give this 4.3/4.4 stars out of 5 stars. Stopped by here today with a few coworkers. Word of advice, look at the menu carefully before you come in as they have a lot of items to choose from and sides too. If you don't want the anxiety of holding up the line you should be prepared to order. All kidding aside, they had a lot of registers open for ordering so take your time. This location is new and it replaced the Aquis. There's plenty of seating inside and out. I got the egg burger medium rare with a side of fries. It was cool, love the color scheme, has fountain drinks and mixed drinks. Shout out to the manager Justin for being so inviting and the staff for being so attentive to their neighbors at Tastea. So we usually go to the Stand on Lawrence Expressway. When we found out that one opened closer to us on Capitol, we thought we should try it. Turns out the food is the same quality and goodness! Ambiance was good. They have a big outside patio since it was the old Aqui's. The inside is the same layout as Aqui's was but that's not a bad thing. Since it recently opened it will go through some growing pains. The process of ordering was pretty simple and then you sit down, food is brought to you. Everything came out and was how we ordered it.
