Went here for lunch at 2:00 P.M. so restaurant wasn't to busy. It took about 50 minutes to get our food after placing the order. We placed our order for 2 fish & chips and the Standard burger, the fish had zero flavor, literally no flavor what so ever which is bad, at least season up the batter with a little salt, the chips were garlic fries which shouldn't be served with fish & chips some thick cut fries are more appropriate, the Burger was mediocre at best, we also ordered the fried cheese curds only to be told 10 minutes later that they were out of them. Waitress was very friendly when she decided to make an appearance. Price was just shy of $60 for the meal which is way to much for the quantity of food you get. Stear clear of this establishment and spend your hard earned cash elsewhere. read more

My friend and I met here to try their brunch menu. We were greeted warmly as we walked in the door. Restaurant, bathroom, and bar area were all clean. Our server was attentive and friendly. (I think her name was Jessica). I ordered the breakfast burrito. I am very particular about eggs, but this was an amazing meal. It was served with delicious chips and a killer salsa verde. This is a great new Pub in Modesto. It is in a strip mall, but when you walk in its super swanky and comfy. The food is excellent, the drinks are flashy and the staff is really nice. I believe the owner typically works himself and makes sure everyone is comfortable and well served. This is a great place to watch sports, TV's everywhere. I was just in there last night on a Thursday and it was lively. I have been here twice now the the customer vibe is nice. People are a mixed crowd but everyone's just there to enjoy a nice night. No consistency on mixed drinks. Horrible music and unable le to use the app to pick different genres. The lemon cider was exquisite. My sliders are ordered or burnt buns and quarter size burger lumps. The buns were old so toasting didn't help them didn't bring our ranch or I may have been able to save the so-called sliders. Hands down the best place to hangout and the service and bartenders are the absolute best! The staff is the friendliest that you can ever experience. Made me feel welcome from the first time I stepped foot in the building. Next time I went in, the staff greeted you by name and even remembered your drink! NOT GOOD. My roommate and I arrived this afternoon at approximately 1515 (315pm). except for about five people sitting at the bar, we were the only other patrons. The person staffing the bar told us to sit wherever we wanted. We sat down in a booth. After we sat down, we were notified that the place was on a "limited lunch" menu and the kitchen was in transition between am and pm menus. I asked what a "limited lunch" menu was to which the response was that this place limits what you can order between 1500 and 1700 (3pm and 5pm). When I questioned what the limitations were, I was not provided with specifics. Instead, I was asked what I wanted from the menu and that the staff would check with the kitchen. When we were finally served and eating, another table seating occurred two booths down at approximately 1550 (350pm).....menus dropped on the table...and...NO MENTION OF THE LIMITED LUNCH MENU. After asking what we wanted to drink, immediately following was the caveat that this "establishment" was out of regular Coke. We were then given less than 10 seconds after the provision of the menu/notice of limited lunch menu/limited fountain drinks when asked what we wanted to eat and drink. My roommate is over 40 years into sobriety and asked about root beer (NOPE). The question about what we wanted to eat prompted a shared look (because we had barely had time to review the menu and then to try and GUESS what was available was a bit of a conundrum that required more time to figure out?!). The roommate finally asked for water and iced tea. Only water was brought to the table. Frustrated at no parameters by which to order, I stated that I wanted at least to try the oyster flight (not on the menu). The staffer went back to the kitchen and returned stating that that would be possible as they had just gotten fresh oysters and that she could get that started for me. Feeling kinda defeated at that point because I didn't know WHAT ELSE was available on the menu, I placed the order for the oysters. Our very minimal order was placed at 1520 (320pm). My roommate ordered the Standard Cheeseburger and I was stuck with my oyster flight. I asked about a good non-alcoholic pairing for the oysters and the staffer seemed just dumbfounded as to what to suggest. REALLY? ANYTHING WITH CITRUS? Arnold Palmer? Strawberry Lemonade? Virgin lime-a-rita? SOMETHING! NOPE...So staffer lost the upsale of a fountain mixed drink. Our FULL order took almost 20 minutes to arrive...with my oysters arriving over five minutes before my roommate's meal. REALLY? You have ONE TABLE to serve and you can't drop meals or update the kitchen to have both ready at about the same time IN 20 MINUTES?! Overheard conversations between staffer and patrons indicated that she drinks while on the job. She was very verbal with patrons at the bar about having finished off an entire bottle of rosé before going home last night. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING OF WHICH TO BE PROUD....NOR SOMETHING OF WHICH YOU SHOULD WANT OTHER PATRONS TO KNOW. It made a bit more sense when the staffer returned to only the other seated table and asked if the patron would dislike sweet potato fries for which she offered to sub out for regular fries...almost as if it's an indicator that the other table was seated with "regulars." This place gives off a vibe that it cares about its "regulars" more than it does about new patronage. AND FINALLY...AFTER STUMBLING THROUGH ALL THE LACKLUSTER SERVICE: Oysters were....only okay...raw ones were stale and grilled ones were palatable with butter sauce (these babies MIGHT have been frozen for quite some time and slapped back to life). I have had better oysters from Okawa and from Poké Bowl (both in-town). The burger was A LOT OF BUN and dry with MINIMAL serving of fries (like a kid meal serving at McDonald's). ALL IN ALL....NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY unless you are already too buzzed/drunk to be cognizant of service/food safety standards. I highly suspect the serve staff are buzzed/drunk when working. Today's serve staff was also VERY LOUD and DEMANDING. read more

I'm not sure where to start... we reserved a table hours in advanced, but when we got there there were of course other tables being served, but only 2 (1 being the manager) servers. We had to wait 2 hours for our food to get to us. Sent back 4 dishes because it was either wrong OR the chicken was undercooked (still very pink on 3 different orders) and the burgers were served to us very rare when we ordered medium or well done. Alcohol mix drinks were very watered downed and the sodas were even delivered to us within 15-20 mins of waiting. I will never come and eat here again, probably not even to have drinks to be honest. With all the mistakes and waiting that happened you'd think we would be comped for our food, nah only a small discount. It's a shame because my family and I are patient and understanding, but this was just embarrassing. If I were the owner or the manager I'd be embarrassed with this review. Owner needs new cooks and more waitresses. That simple. read more

Looks can be deceiving. Server forgot our drink order and when she did put it thru we found out that they were out of ingredients, we got our food after 40 minutes, without being busy (we were there about 2 pm) both salads were undressed, fish looked amazing but when we cut into it the fish was raw. The French dip I got was not as described and the cheese appetizer was good but not worth the price for how little we got. I came here about 1 month ago with my family and the food was great so we decided to come again and my chicken sandwich wasn't as good it was pretty bland and my moms fish was dry and had a huge piece of butter when she said no butter.
