    Complimentary bread

Great little Italian restaurant with a few surprises! Food: 4.5/5. For an appetizer, we had the special which was friend Mac and cheese balls. I felt they were a little bland and could have used more of the sauce that was underneath. I got the baked tuscan penne, which was pretty good. I wish there were a few more tomatoes and artichoke hearts, but overall it satisfied by pasta craving. My husband had the Wagyu beef olive burger. The burger was amazing! The fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. I am still thinking about those fries. The complementary bread is delicious as well! Service: 5/5. The service was great. We got seated quickly and were constantly taken care of. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time as well. The waitress was friendly as well. Atmosphere: 4/5. The restaurant is fairly small so we ended up sitting outside. The outside patio is an interesting place to dine and can be a bit noisy being right on State Street. Kid Friendly: 4/5. Being such a small restaurant, I would not necessarily recommend this restaurant for kids. We did see some kids inside that had highchairs. There is a kids menu of pasta, pizza, and chicken nuggets. Overall, it's a cute, intimate restaurant with good food. Can't wait to try it another time!

I found this place while on my way to another lunch spot. Had never heard of it, but apparently it's been here for 20 years tucked away in this little shopping center area. The current chef has had it operational for five years. Tons of great parking, even up to the front door. It's tiny when you initially walk in with about eight tables, but they recently expanded next-door so it should open up. The ambience is relaxing with background music from Sinatra and other swooners. You really wanna settle in for some good long conversation here. Everything was immaculate. You could tell that they really take care to ensure cleanliness is first and foremost. The menu is easy to read and very reasonably priced. I asked for the daily special and the server, who had a great attitude and warm personality, shared they had a turkey and bacon club with basil pesto, tomato and other goodies on an in-house made focaccia. All of it is lightly toasted and warm when it arrives. I ordered it with a side of fries, but it also comes with a salad or soup. This amazing sandwich did not disappoint in any way. The ratio of meat to accompaniments to spread and bread were perfect. The bread was not too thick. The basil pesto was not excessive. The meat was perfectly toasted. The size of the sandwich is enough to fill any appetite from small to large. It was in fact the best sandwich I've had in years. Recall from my bio that I was a chef and I had a deli where I made sandwiches that were award-winning. I have to admit, I had nothing on my menu that could even come close to this delicious sandwich. It seems pretty simple to be able to put some meat and spread on a nice bread and heat it, but this went beyond simple. The flavor profile hit on all cylinders. I ordered the fries and they too were perfect. Hot and crispy with just enough garlic, and Parmesan to taste it, but not overwhelm it. I cannot say enough about this meal. Between the service, the delicious food, and the ambience, this is now my go to place for lunch. I urge you to take some time to get to the Stuffed Olive in Eagle Idaho and experience what this chef is doing for this community and it's starving foodies.

Service was decent, the restaurant is cute and cozy. I love that they give you bread upon sitting down and offer to get you more when you run out. I did not like my food however, it was very bland and did not have much flavor, I also ordered tiramisu and it appeared to just be lady fingers with whipped cream on top. Not good at all and very crunchy. Glad I tried this place but I will most likely not be back a second time.

We just found Idaho's best kept dining secret: The Stuffed Olive! Their menu has a broad range of specialty items ranging from pastas, meat and veggie lasagna, salmon, chicken, salads, sandwiches and much more. Their "Chef Specials" consist of tasty homemade appetizers; flatbread, crostini. For example an entree of brown butter and burrata gnocchi paired with a wonderful dessert of mini peaches and cream trifle. The food is amazing, hats off to the chef Liz Martin. The service was also amazing. Our server Lexi was friendly, professional and very attentive. My wife and I throughly enjoyed the ambiance. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be back.

If you're looking for a good sandwich with soup combo and are in the Eagle area, I highly recommend The Stuffed Olive's Turkey, Bacon & Avocado with a cup of their signature Creamy Fire Roasted Tomato Soup ($16). It's my go to take out lunch order from this restaurant. Turkey Bacon Avocado Hand-sliced smoked turkey breast topped with crispy bacon, avocado, spinach, tomato, melted cheese, and housemade dijonnaise on a toasted baguette. $14 Creamy Fire Roasted Tomato Soup Our signature soup made in-house daily featuring roasted tomatoes, olive oil, basil, and cream. (*gf without croutons) $6 / $10 I like that even when you get a take-out order, they still give you the fresh-baked bread and olive oil that would have been served if you had dined in.

I loved the stuffed olive! A great casual spot if you're in the mood for some Italian. I built my own pasta which was absolutely delicious! Don't know where else you can do that. Service was great, a very cute restaurant.

From the moment we walked in, you could tell this was a true family-run restaurant. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and our waitress was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and happy to share recommendations for places to check out around Boise. The food was so good that we completely forgot to take pictures before digging in, which honestly says everything. We started with the Caesar salad, which was solid, but the stars of the meal were the entrées. My husband ordered the shrimp Alfredo, and I had the Rosemary Chicken Formaggio. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and homemade. Somehow, it was even better the next day as leftovers. My husband's favorite part of the meal was actually the rosemary focaccia loaf they bring out with oil and vinegar. Simple, but absolutely delicious. If you're visiting Boise and looking for great Italian food, Luciano's is absolutely worth the stop. We'd happily come back the next time we're in town.

If you live in the Treasure Valley, and enjoy going out to eat, and haven't been to Italianesque,…read morethen you are missing something special. This is more true if you live in Nampa, and this situation applied to my wife and I prior to yesterday. Don't be put off by it's location. Yes, this spot does not seem like a place where you would find a great eating establishment, but based upon our experience, that should be at the bottom of the list of concerns. The vibe of the place represents it's truth. Italianesque feels like a family run restaurant, run by people who enjoy what they do. That's because that is exactly what it is. There is no corporate mood or tone here, but rather it feels like friends wanting to run a neighborhood restaurant with all the good things that go with providing that kind of service to the local community. I'd recommend getting a reservation if you want to dine inside, but we failed to do that last night and the tables were full at 5:00pm on a Thursday. That's a pretty good signal that Italianesque has something good going on. Our experience was five-stars across the board. We ate on the patio which was pleasant in the shade, and the soft breeze felt nice in the informal al fresco environment. The service was excellent. Paula was a delight, and the other servers were all super friendly and helpful too. We enjoyed our specialty cocktails as our food was being prepared, and we enjoyed the appetizer special. The single word I would describe our dinner entrées would be "Wow". I had the spicy Cajun Seafood Linguini, and it was truly delicious. So full of flavor! We ended our meal with a slice of Key Lime Pie which did not disappoint. My opinion is that Italian food should be zesty and bold, cooked with passion and served with a smile. Italianesque delivered. If you enjoy bland Italian cooking, or just an average meal, there are plenty of other places you can go to. We'll be back to Italianesque, because there were many other things on the menu that I really want to try.

Today, our friend brought us to Garden City to walk along the river, and then over to Uncle Guiseppe's for lunch. They also well things like pastries and, of interest to us, jarred roasted tomatoes. My wife had the #9 Monte Cristo, and I had the #3 Bonanza. Delicious. I also had a Manhattan Special Black Cherry soda, also super yummy. My mistake, not realizing what I was doing, was to order "whole" vs "half" sandwiches. The whole are footlong. I ate the entire sandwich, holy moly! My wife brought half home. Next time I would probably order a half. The owner, who I will call Guiseppe, had the heavy East Coast accent, and checked on all of his customers, making sure they were happy and satisfied. This place is a little gem. That is the description of what I ordered for their handmade fresh pasta rigatoni that I got. Let me just say that all these flavors that they put into one dish were absolutely amazing. First time in Boise, Idaho, visiting for the Boise Half Marathon. I ended up dining at Alavita…read moretwice -- once to carbo-load the night before my race, and again the day after as a recovery dinner. Alavita is an upscale Italian restaurant, and I'd recommend making reservations, especially for dinner. My first visit was with a reservation for one, while my second was a walk-in where I managed to snag patio seating. On my first visit, I started with the House-Baked Focaccia, which came with truffle-honey butter. The focaccia was light, fresh, and served pre-sliced. The honey and butter combination was absolutely divine and paired wonderfully with the bread. It honestly made me wonder why more Italian restaurants don't serve something similar. For my entrée, I ordered the daily special, which I believe was a cheese tortellini with shrimp and corn in a lemon garlic sauce. It was flavorful, deceptively filling, and paired well with the focaccia. While it wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, it was a satisfying and enjoyable pre-race meal. On my second visit, I started with the fennel and arugula salad, which featured fennel-apple slaw, pistachios, rehydrated cherries, lemon, olive oil, and shaved Parmesan. I particularly enjoyed the cherries and pistachios, which added nice sweetness and crunch. Not mind-blowing, but certainly good. For my entrée, I had to try the Rigatoni: braised local beef, black garlic-truffle butter, roasted local mushrooms, spinach, pickled red onion, lemon crema, and Grana Padano. I ordered it because so many reviews mentioned it. I don't eat beef very often, so this was a bit of a treat for me. The braised beef was tender and flavorful. Interestingly, my opinion of the dish changed as I ate it. Initially, I had it around a 3.5/5, but by the end it had climbed to a 4.5/5. This might sound strange, but I found that when I slowed down, closed my eyes for a bite or two, and really focused on the flavors, the dish came together much better. The richness of the braised beef, the garlic-truffle butter, and the mushrooms became much more noticeable, and I found myself appreciating the combination more and more with each bite. For me, it was one of those dishes that rewards slowing down and savoring it. Overall, I highly recommend Alavita for Italian food in Boise. The service was friendly, the food was thoughtfully prepared, and both meals left me satisfied. The lemon garlic shrimp tortellini special made for excellent pre-race fuel, and the rigatoni was a memorable post-race meal. I went on to finish 10th overall in the Boise Half Marathon despite rainy conditions and the challenges of running at a higher elevation than I'm used to, so I was certainly grateful for the quality food beforehand. Hope to be back the next time I'm in the Boise area. Visited June 2026.
