Honestly a bit surprised how bad the reviews are. Even though the food is definitely a bit overpriced and the cocktails are subpar (and also overpriced), I was pretty impressed by the food. I came in with low expectations though, so I was definitely surprised. Service was also very fast and efficient, making the dining experience very smooth. For apps - Zucchini fritters (2.5/5): these are a pass honestly. They were definitely not too deeply fried but no extreme wow factor, could have had more flavor -Baby gem salad (5/5): this salad was so good!! The ranch sauce was lighter and made the salad more refreshing -Yellowfin tuna (3/5): OK. Can't go wrong with tuna, but not the best quality tuna I have had -Montauk fluke (2/5): least favorite app, not impressive really and a bit more firm in texture For mains: -Sea bass (4/5): this was really good. The fish was fried making the skin extra crispy, and came with refreshing sides to complement the fried fish... can also make lettuce wraps -Lobster cascatelli (4.5/5): this was pretty solid. The lobster was fresh (there could have been a bit more though), the cherry tomatoes were delicious, and the pasta was cooked well and coated in a not too heavy sauce, which made it really delicious and lighter than other pasta -Striped bass (3.5/5): not my favorite fish, but just personal preference Overall, pretty solid food

I didn't expect too much when I booked a dinner reservation here based on the other reviews I've read but I didn't expect to be treated poorly. Liam was very rude and pushed me when I was trying to reenter after stepping out. We made reservations and I asked the hostess for a table inside because it was a bit chilly outside and it had been raining. She told us to head inside to the bar and she would get us seated. We waited for about 10-15 minutes and when we received our text that the table was ready she led us to a table outside. When I asked about why we didn't have an inside table like we requested she said that someone started ordering bottle service so basically we got booted outside. It was misting outside and cold and there were quite a bit of bugs outside. A bug landed in my friends drink and the waiter gave her a hard time about replacing it. The lobster pasta was light and actually pretty good. The spicy margarita was good but I'm not 100% sure there was actually alcohol in it lol. We went inside to the party afterwards and that was a pretty fun time

Idk.. the bouncers lied and said it wasnt open when there is tons of people here. They let us in eventually but super suss. Will update

Super on the fence about this place. When we first arrived they wanted us to wait over an hout because they claimed it was open at 4, but someone eventually just let us in earlier and there were so many people inside lounging drinking and having a good time so I honestly dont know what that was about However The place os super cute and vibey and only got better the later it got. Definitely somewhere you can chill out with drinks and music while enjoying the great water views. The drinks were also 5/5 our bartender def knew what he was doing and the servers were nice too. Other than that the security team/host needs a talking to.

I came here for dinner. Got here a little early. I waited online to get into the bar in the meantime. Guy with a cross tattoo behind is ear immediately cut me off .. I couldn't ask a question and then he said "it's not my job to be nice , I'm not in the hospitality business. This is a hotel". He was NASTY. Not just to us but to anyone that dared speak to him. He should not work here. Then 10 mins later after ubering here we get a text that our reservation was cancelled bc of rain which we get. But they didn't offer to accommodate us indoors. This place is a joke .

Came here on a Saturday for brunch with 3 of my girlfriends. The food was mediocre and what you'd expect from a "party venue". The banana bread was the best part of the meal. We had reservations for brunch and assumed we could hang around the bar until the DJ started playing. Unfortunately, they cleared the premises around 4pm to prepare for the party and we were told we could only stay if we paid a $324 cover charge (per person) for GA. I wish we'd known that we would have to end our brunch early and had to pay to stay so that we could've planned our Saturday a little better. I get why people come here to party but I think there are better places to spend your $$$.

This is not the place for an intimate dinner. It has a bar/party atmosphere you would find in Fort Lauderdale, don't expect to hear anyone talk unless you're screaming across the table. It was just all-around an interesting experience. Also, imagine paying a premium price to be seated at a picnic table and share it with another party--just nuts. The atmosphere: was a party. You can't hear yourself think. The staff: was relatively friendly and tried to be helpful, but they couldn't hear anything. The food: average at a high mark up. Cleanliness: the table was fine; I don't know about the deck bar, though.

TLDR: we were ignored several times despite waving and making eye contact; food is expensive and we left partially hungry. We only came here because the first four restaurants we called were full to capacity for the night. When we arrived around 8:55 PM or so for the 9 PM reservation. We were told the host will be with us shortly. One member of my party attempted to get a host's attention after waiting for a bit- he was ignored. Five minutes later, another host told us that they'll be with us. We overheard a host telling a table that the kitchen will be closing at 10. So we expressed our worry of the kitchen closing and was told, "if I said I'll be with you then I'll be with you"- addressing nothing about the kitchen closing. We got seated another five to eight minutes later. After our drinks we tried ordering food but was ignored despite making eye contact and they even walked past our table. Finally ordered food at 9:35 with the hostess who took our drinks order. Food ($38 halibut) was barely filling the plate and drinks ($17) same thing. In my pic, several sips were taken before I took the picture. The water smells like it has a bit too much like chlorine- not sure if we're just used to Nyc water. The lady who helped us with our drinks and took our order was nice and professional. Experience was ruined at the front. The prices are nearly twice as much as Manhattan but service definitely has room for improvement- as much room as the fish that I ordered had on the plate. On hindsight we definitely had an ok night compared to the other reviews that we should've read before making a reservation. Problem with Montauk is that if you don't rsvp ahead of time- you miss out on the decent restaurants. This place wasn't even anywhere near full to capacity. Not sure why we weren't seated at any of the empty tables. We thought it was due to covid concerns but saw that they seated a couple that were after us at the same table as another couple. ‍

This place is an absolute joke. It used to be such a good vibe. The food is not good. The service is horrendous. Nobody seems to know what they are doing in every way possible. The night life is something I can go on and on about. If you're trying to just go for a drink and good vibes, don't bother. It's $1500 for a beach table (that doesn't even give you access to the deck "party"). The deck is $3k for a table. The bouncers and the lady at the front when you arrive are the most horrible, rude, entitled people I have ever come across. The owner is a sick joke. Rude, nasty lady. The people there are just as entitled. Classic "daddy's money". I can't believe the staff is getting away with having this attitude. The service. How is this place real. You're running a business. Be nice to every single patron ... simple as that.

Starting with the room, the size was good, but it could have been cleaner. I noticed some dust and dirt in the corners, and the room felt like it could use an update. The coffee machine looked older and wasn't very clean, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, and there wasn't an ice machine nearby--you have to call the front desk for ice. At night, the room wasn't very soundproof. You can hear footsteps from the room above, along with other noises, so if you're a light sleeper, it's something to keep in mind. On the weekend, the hotel was lively because of a wedding and the nightclub. There was music until around midnight, and when guests left, the noise from the cars made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. The food and drinks were very good, although they were on the expensive side. I was happy with the quality of the dining experience. Most of the staff were fine, though I noticed a few employees who seemed less welcoming. Thankfully, everyone I interacted with was polite. The overall atmosphere was the highlight of my stay. The property has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a classy crowd, and I especially loved the morning yoga classes. I spent about $5,000 for a two-night stay, so I expected a more luxurious room experience. Mine was one of the more affordable room categories, and it didn't feel especially upscale for the price. Next time, I would probably visit for the food, drinks, beach, or spa day pass instead of staying overnight. If you're looking for a lively resort with plenty of events and activities, this is a great choice. If you're looking for a very quiet hotel, you may want to consider other options.

Upon arrival, was notified that the pool was out of service because the heater went down. They said I should have received a call. I didn't. After learning this, we figured we would spend most of our time in the hot tubs. Turns out, the heater went down for those also didn't work. The pool and the hot tubs were basically polar plunges. We booked a corner ocean view with a large balcony. The room itself was nice. Large, spacious and a wonderful shower with very nice water pressure. However, the room had ants. And a lot of them. I wish I took pictures. For a newly renovated property, you would think the HVAC systems would have been upgraded. But no. The heating in the room was so loud we actually had to turn it off in the middle of the night because it prevented us from sleeping. This property as a whole puts A-LOT of money on the esthetics. The lighting it beautiful, the wall decor is gorgeous, but it's the the things you don't see easily that need help. Ripped cushions, rotting wood on the patio, ants, poor HVAC, and clearly not a 24/7 on call pool repair for a resort that in the summer time charges $1500 a night for a basic room. Again, you book a winter getaway at a place like this to enjoy the pool and spa. When it's not working properly it just ruins the entire trip and there is no point in staying there. A seperate review of the restaurant was already posted by me. The restaurant was the saving grace. But I absolutely will not stay at this property again.

Okay, people don't travel to watch TV, but you just want things to work and to relax, and constantly calling the staff to fix the TV and having them in your room failing to fix the TV is not relaxing. Make sure major items in the rooms are working, or have spares and replace them. Period. This place was then too cheap to offer real recompense and gave my family member some awful ski cap that probably cost about 30 cents. Just unacceptable at this price point.
