This place is THE best sushi in town. You can really tell the high quality of ingredients and food compared to others in town. Although it is a bit pricey, and we expect to spend some money when we go here, it is well worth it. We don't eat the raw Nigiri stuff, so almost everything we get has something cooked in it. The Scratchy roll is hands down my favorite. The smoked salmon on top is the perfect balance with the cream cheese and crabstick. Our other favorites are the Cousins roll, Naughty girl, Captain crunch and Big O roll. Beware of the Big O, it is fully cooked and a large roll. It's one that can get very heavy... so we like to split it. But I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. Service is always great, and even calling in a to-go order is ready good time. Disappointing: Three of us shared a plate of sashimi and four raw rolls for lunch. The fish did not taste that good, and the flavor combinations in the rolls weren't so great either. With sushi, I feel like there doesn't need to be too much more explanation. The fish should taste good. Not disappointing: The all-90s (Top 40) soundtrack. Lots of good conversation pieces in that mix. Weirdly intriguing: It was actually hard to find roll combinations on the menu that did not include some kind of cream cheese or Monterey jack cheese. Sometimes the jack cheese was actually melted in the sushi roll, and/or stuffed in a jalepeno and then put in the sushi roll. I was a little tempted to try one of these cheesy rolls, as they seem to be some sort of specialty of the house, but my dining companions were not game. Probably for the best. read more

I've good and bad points. First the bad point. The first night I ate at the restaurant most of the food was good--aside from the ikura. It's one of my favorite types of sushi but for some reason it was bitter and I pretty much pushed the plate away after a bite. I'm not sure if it was just a one time thing, but I'm hesitant to order it there again. The good points--aside from the ikura, everything else was delicious. Having lived in Japan for four years I've gotten a bit spoiled, but their salmon nigiri never disappoints. I come here at least once a week for their lunch specials, and their unagi bento is delicious. I always swap the bento salad for edamame. The food here is very tasty. I got the J's special, big cheese, and captain crunch rolls. I loved all of them and would definitely get them again. It has a great atmosphere and is always crowded, but that's where my main gripe is; if your restaurant is always crowded, you should have enough staff to handle the volume of people. We saw our waitress when she sat us, then 15 minutes later to take our order. Then, somebody else brought our food to us. We finally saw our waitress when the check came. 1st time in, great place! We got 3 rolls. The string cheese, the big o roll and the naughty girl. All were really good. You need to like crab (which I do) for the string cheese. There is a big ole chunk in there. The big o roll is really good and the naughty girl, while a tad spicy, is also great! The best part was probably our waitress, Amber. She was super attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Miso soup was the best I've had, too. Really robust, but not overbearing. Soup, 3 rolls, 2 beers and a cocktail...$60. Can't beat that. My husband and I been going here for a year and a half and this is our go-to place. For a little credentials, we're from So Cal and lived in Seattle for 3 years and have had some GOOD sushi...this place rivals the best we've had. We were skeptical about fresh fish in Oklahoma at first, but have never been disappointed. His favorites are the Lemon drop roll and the All 'Bout Tuna roll, and I prefer the cooked rolls and love the Big O roll--the whole thing is tempura fried and just is warm and melting in your mouth! We usually get the fried gyozas as well, and I'm a sucker for hot sake and I love the brand they use. I've also had some of their noodle dishes and those have always been good as well. We also love that this place is open so late on Thursday, Friday and Saturday--we've had my parents come after the baby is asleep so we can slip off for a quick date! Only minor negative things are one time (we've probably been 15x) a year ago late at night there was a strong fishy smell, and the green tea is not all that great. Overall those are excusable once you get a bite of their delicious sushi! Sometimes the rolls are good, sometimes spectacular, but you're going to get that anywhere you're dealing with fresh fish. This was our second visit and we once again had good service and tasty food. We started with the tempura vegetables and they are awesome. My husband got several pieces of nigiri and a few raw fish rolls and loved them. As a vegan, I get the old fashioned roll and it is one of the best I've ever had. My only complaint is how limited the wine list is. I would like to see some better options available by the glass. Very happy to have a place like this in Edmond. The best sushi and Japanese place I've been to in the Edmond area. Miso and edamame were great; subtle, salty and smooth flavors. The yellowtail roll was great and the OMG roll is a showstopper everyone should try. My entre was the Norwegian mackerel. Perfectly cooked. You get a 1 star for tonight. My family has been going here for years. We live in the neighborhood. My daughter loves your rolls. Personally, there are times I think you're over priced, but I forge on because you've been a staple for us since you've opened. Well, I think I just realized you are too big for your britches. Your rolls were thrown together tonight, you skimped on the wasabi & ginger; as usual, and you just really could care less. I waited nearly an hour for my, I quote, "quick curbside order that would be ready in 15 minutes." I told the waitress I waited nearly an hour by the curb, to which she replied, "You ordered at 6:50." This was at 7:40pm. I had already called 3 times from the curb, and the girl picking up the phone was not wanting to deal with customers, with the excuse of, "were soooo busy, click!" The last time I placed an order, I couldn't even get a recommendation from the hostess! Finally came here with my wife this past weekend. We've always ordered takeout from here on the weekends and the sushi is awesome but until Friday this had been our first time actually sitting down. The ambience was awesome and the service from the waiter was prompt and quick. The drinks took a while but only because they were packed to the brim and the bar was full as well. My only complaint is that the drinks came in smaller cocktail glasses compared to what I'm used to. The drinks were strong and were priced right. The bill did get a bit high but what do you expect when in a sushi joint. All in all, I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood looking for sushi. read more

This is the third time I have eaten tempura shrimp and vegetables. the shrimp served is always frozen pre-made. the vegetables are always over cooked and tasteless, though they appear to made there and not frozen.
