The whoopie pie and treats were very tasty. The sweetest part of this shop was the people! The kindness of a sandwich made my day!

The most rude service I have ever had. The younger employee was fine, but the older woman made my whole experience terrible.

There was a huge variety of items, from local food, soaps, candles, hats, shirts, toys, housewares, and other wonderful things to remind you of your time in beautiful Bar Harbor. I also found the prices to be pretty on par with the rest of the area. I am enjoying my treasures now that I have returned home. I also appreciate the reusable bags they gave out. I've added those to my stash to grab instead of plastic. Thank you, Acadia Country Store, for a wonderful experience!

The Acadia Corporation owns and runs eight different individual stores in the Bar Harbor area that collectively are referred to as "Acadia Shops." This specific review is for the quaint Acadia Country Store. Because the Acadia Corporation is running many stores in Bar Harbor stuff really starts to look the same from store to store but the Acadia Country Store seemed to have a bigger focus on consumables like Stonewall Kitchen jellies and syrups and homemade fudge. Drats, I should have gotten a photo of the fudge display. Anyway, I enjoyed looking at kitchen stuff like cookie cutters and Swedish dish clothes while the hardwood floors quaintly creaked underfoot. I skipped the souvenirs since I'd already perused the same items at many other stores in downtown Bar Harbor.

This is run by a couple, who according to the owner Patrick (who was manning the store when we were there) they aren't artists themselves, but they seek out artists from all over. There is a wide selection of art from sun catchers made of wrapped colored stones, and paintings on wood to vegan leather purses and wood turned pens. We stopped here and purchased a painting my partner wanted and then returned to pick up my purse before returning to the shuttle bus. I just couldn't leave without buying it. I'm sure if we had more time, we would have spent more. Bar Harbor has lots of tourist stuff. If you are looking for that special item to take home, check this place out.

The store features unique decor, jewelry, accessories and home items. I spent the most time looking at colorful local artwork, sniffing a variety of perfumes and eyeing up some lovely leather goods. While I didn't buy anything I certainly appreciated the friendly staff and the variety of whimsical an quality items for sale.

There was a long line but wasn't too bad because there was some shade and the place is on main street where the parade starts. Inside was crowded as well and a bit hectic during busy hours. Inside is spacious with multiple seats and tables as well as mild AC and free wifi. I got the maple oat latte. Once i placed the order it took about 5 minutes and picked it up at the window. The latte was not mixed very well initially so had to mix it well before drinking. But once it's mixed it was tasty. I tasted the hint of maple flavor mixed with bitterness of coffee and creaminess of oat milk. Service was good especially considering it was very busy at the time. Overall it's a nice cafe for quick stop or lounging with decent drink options. Price is on the pricier side but pretty standard for local coffee shop. Plus we got to sit and watch the parade without sitting in the sun.

Nothing out of the ordinary, solid choco-latte and mocha. Good for those that don't like their drinks overly sweet. There is ample seating, however it is also very busy, especially during the summer months. I would come again. It just isn't a stand out compared to other places I have had. They have a good selection of pastries and food. Pricing is average.

It was then that I discovered that they made pizza in one of those wood-fired, outside stone ovens. They are only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons so it took me 2 years to get there but I finally made it. It is a farm, a goat farm, where you can buy goat cheese, goat pepperoni (goateroni), and buy and eat a pizza. There were 5 pizzas on the menu. They are not cheap ($13 for a pizza the size of a paper dinner plate) but they are delicious! We were really hungry so we planned to eat a pizza each but then we ordered a third and all of them were worth it. See my picture of the chalkboard menu. We ordered # 2,3, and 4. I have to say that the one with the caramelized onions was the best, probably because of the bite of the goat and feta cheeses. Watch the pizzas cook. It takes about 2 minutes. There is a long, high table to eat at or some Adirondack chairs to sit at eat under cover in case of rain or too much sun. However, this did not work well for my wheelchair companion so we just ate in the car. I also took home a chunk of cheese. Unfortunately, the pizza maker did not know what it tasted like but he was honest about it. It was delicious. Worth the trip if you like Neopolitan pizza with the thin and ever so slightly charred crust. Otherwise, eat elsewhere.

Seeing it in the distance fills me with an overwhelming sense of excitement as it meant returning to one of my favorite hiking spots in New England (so far) and beginning a weeklong binge on Maine's freshest seafood. I absolutely love this tiny and unassuming (from the outside) seafood market and couldn't wait to be back again this year. Last year, it was the first stop to pick up ingredients for my weeklong visit to Acadia National Park. This year, after a whole year of telling anyone and everyone I knew visiting Acadia, it was once again my first stop after I started driving from Boston. Loaded Lobster Roll - check. Loaded Crab Roll - check. Dorr Hoodie - check. Fresh scallops - check. 5# bag of steamers - check. Calamari salad - check. A pair of lovely fresh and alive lobsters for later - check. Some of the freshest stuff at really competitive prices. What's there not to like? Oh yeah, there is Tim with his super sarcastic sense of humor. A conversation with him just absolutely cracks me up. Super nice dude with a lot of information and makes the overall experience here even better than it already is. I also got to meet the father and son owners during this visit. Always glad to meet the hardworking fishermen behind the amazing product that I've become addicted to.
