So delicious! We stopped here on our way to Florida and were so happy that we did. We had the avocado smash which was perfectly light and flavorful. My son had a kids yogurt and the blueberries and granola were so fresh. The cinnamon and orange rolls had fantastic texture and flavor and the coffee was mellow and smooth. Still so fabulous, maybe even more so as I've grown to love the people here even more. They really try to please each person that comes through the door. I was so excited to see there's more room at the pick up area! It's not as cramped and awkward anymore. The food is top notch. The service is phenomenal. I'm thankful to have The Table in my community. I am looking forward to evenings here again soon it's so wonderful to be able to have a meal and get it gluten free and they understand. I've eaten here multiple times and aside from the food choice, each time has been exactly the same - awesome. This is a perfect low key restaurant, but nothing about the food is low key. Everything is made using fresh ingredients and everything I've had has been absolutely delicious. I've had the pimento cheese sour dough sandwich, a pork sandwich, and most recently a roasted vegetable sandwich with grilled chicken (I LOVED this) - each one is amazing in their own way. They have good choices for sides as well but I always go with the truffle fries. The staff is very friendly, and one of the managers even brought us a bowl of their new watermelon soup to try (very different, but still good). I love this place and hate I'm moving away from it, but you can guarantee when I come back in town I'll go there. 5 stars! read more

I was in Asheboro from out of town and stopped here for lunch. I was warned to go either early or late. No kidding! I walked in around 11:40 to a bustling business but plenty of seats and no line. By the time I turned around from the counter the line was to the door. By the time my food arrived, there were no other seats! I ordered the turkey on cranberry walnut sandwich with table salad and an earl grey latte. I'm a sucker for the turkey/cranberry combo and Brie is my favorite cheese. So it was a winner right there! The mustard had an unexpected-but-enjoyed curry flavor. Maybe a little more veg for crunch but otherwise tasty sandwich. The salad was fine - a little over dressed but a good way to sneak more greens into my diet. The earl grey latte - light tea flavor and creamy foam. I was asked twice if I wanted vanilla in it. I said so thank you and enjoyed my drink. Give it a shot, I guess - it must be a thing. OMG, I wish I could add a sixth star to this review because The Table Farmhouse Bakery was awesome. The decor, the staff, the menu, etc... everything was farmhouse chic with Pinterest in mind. I got the roast beef on focaccia cooked medium rare with melted white cheddar, charred onions, and arugula with a side of truffle fries. I stopped here at 10:30 on a Saturday to have brunch with friends. The decor and ambiance are super cute! I respect a lot of what this place is trying to do. They have really fresh ingredients, some special items even have ingredients from the farmers market across the street! The bakery is extensive - so many options to pack up and take with you. There is also a market with prepackaged items like granola, candles, etc. I just wonder if perhaps there is too much going on or they need to rethink the way they are serving people. We stood in line to order for over thirty minutes with a crowd of about 25 people, half of us in the sun outside. There were tons of open seating and plenty of people working so I just think they could find a better way to get people's orders. The wait time after ordering was only about 10 minutes, but still I find receiving food 40+ minutes after arriving for simple brunch/bakery items to be too long. I would rather be sitting waiting for that, than standing. My croissant breakast sandwhich (The Classic) and grits were both just absolutely delicious and my friends really enjoyed The Stack and their Brown Betty coffee! read more

We will be moving to Asheboro soon and have been exploring the town and best places to eat. As a couple of hard-to-feed foodies (I'm gluten intolerant and mostly vegetarian; he's lactose intolerant) we are always delighted to find a place that not only accommodates us, but is also fabulously fresh and delicious. The Table never disappoints. Breakfast time is our favorite, and that Swiss veggie omelette is so flavorful! Presentation is beautiful, with a fresh orange slice and a little greenery. This place is lovely. It's right in the heart of downtown directly across from the farmer's market, so outside of FM hours there is plenty of parking at the FM. Even during FM we have not had a hard time finding street or off-street parking. There is a patio for seasonal seating. This is a walk-up-and-order establishment, so although there is not table service, you are not completely ignored by the friendly staff. We have never been there when there wasn't a line at least to the door to order, but it moves along fairly quickly, and it allows you time to see what's coming out of the kitchen for items that might strike your fancy. The French toast always looks amazing (sad for me). The dining room has family-style seating, bar-seating at the huge front windows, and regular table seating. You might have to wait for a seat during the cold-weather months. It can be a little loud when it is full, but not over-powering so you can't hold a conversation. The windows bring in so much natural light even on overcast and dreary days it seems warm and cheerful. I want my house to look like this. Don't miss the chandelier made with old-style milk bottles. The farmhouse gift shop area has lovely items for sale, and you can order from this area if you just want a quick pastry or you're picking up a to-go order. It always makes my day when there are gluten-free bakery items since there aren't always. Although they state that they prepare in a kitchen with gluten present, I have never had a problem. I am NOT celiac, so I'm not advising you try any if you are. That said, every item I have tried has been so delicious I haven't even missed the gluten. The blueberry crumb cake is to die for, the whoopie pies are fluffy and fun, and there is a chocolate peanut butter torte that I scarfed down every crumb of even after having a big lunch salad that filled me to the brim. Being almost completely vegetarian due to a recent illness, my one wish is that there would be something more than salad available for me during non-breakfast hours. Sure, I could probably order a non-bread sandwich, but the vegetarian options are still rather salady. This is absolutely not their fault, but, especially during the cold weather months, cold salad is just not very appetizing. How about a gluten-free soup or crustless quiche? We truly love this place, every single thing about it. It's really a gem, and Asheboro is all the better for having it. read more

I have been visiting Asheboro regularly during my 23 years of life and honestly had no idea that places like The Table existed. After my grandmother accidentally let the cat out of the bag I had to check it out! As a tea lover, I was extremely impressed by their tea choices. You'll notice that's what I focused on the most. I enjoyed a cup of Lovely Morning and would love to bag that up and take it with me to enjoy every morning! I also treated myself to a rather large(yet delicious) cinnamon roll. There were a lot of people, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and nothing felt rushed. I was shocked by the number of people below the age of 65 who live in Asheboro, so I'll be exploring a bit more now. I can't wait for my next trip to Asheboro so I can stop in and try another tea and some more treats! read more

I got one little thin slice of bread for a big bowl of soup. So we had to order the bread plate. Olive oil had no flavor. Bread was ok, nothing outstanding. Tomato soup was a little to bitter for me, but it had a nice consistency. My daughters black bean burger was very good. Overall, would probably visit again for maybe a dessert and coffee. read more

A special place with the kindest staff and consistently excellent food. After visiting several days in a row, I highly recommend the pastries. Even the gluten free pastries were delightful to eat (you couldn't tell they were gf!). The grits are rich and some of the best I've ever had. The farro breakfast bowl was a perfect blend of decadence and healthy-eating. The avocado toast was yummy. And the chicken cherry salad was divine. You can't go wrong eating here! Because they had wonderful outdoor dining, which they increased during COVID, we went there several times when it was pretty weather. We are looking forward to more pretty weather again so we can go back! Their food is excellent, the restaurant is clean and attractive, and the waitstaff is helpful. Excellent. For lunch, we had their BLT and Turkey on Multigrain. Turkey was piled high and lots of thick, crisp bacon on the BLT. We enjoyed the sweet potato and chocolate chip muffin and fig and apple tart. The atmosphere was fantastic, the bakery is located in the offices of an old fiber mill across the street. We stopped in around 1PM on a Saturday. The place was packed and there was line to order food. They were out of the brioche French toast :( We will come back for it! I had the quiche--outstanding and such a flakey crust! My mom and son enjoyed egg sandwiches and my wife had the beet salad and a crab bisque (soup of the day). All were outstanding and their homemade breads were perfect. We love their pastries as well and that made for a nice treat afterwards. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I made trips to visit The Table before I ever even lived in Asheboro! I was even more excited when we decided to move to the area. Overall I easily give The Table 5 stars. The service is good, the food is even better, the price is very fair, the atmosphere and decor (always fresh flowers) only improves each time we visit and it's worth a wait (if you end up having to wait a bit for a table) We love to pop in for a fresh lunch made from local ingredients. We love their coffee as well (Counter Culture coffee, roasted in NC, which they also offer on certain weekdays for purchase by the 12 (?) oz bag). All the baristas are five stars in our book! They offer milk alternatives for their cold and hot drinks as well, including almond or oat milk. It's a popular spot, especially during peak lunch hours. If you are in a rush, I would recommend calling in your order and getting it to go. Otherwise, plan on a wait. But it's a pleasant wait because the location and scenery are lovely and you can wait outside if you prefer. And the food and ambiance are such a reward for your relatively brief wait There are also less busy hours with absolutely no wait at all. NOTE: They have a SIDE COUNTER (across from the barista area, near all the baked goods behind clear glass walls), where you can sidle up and place a coffee or bakery order quickly. If you are not ordering food, there is no need to wait in the line that leads to the main front cash register! I am gluten intolerant and even though it's been 8+ years I still miss gluten filled baked goods! The Table has scratched my itch over and over again. Their amazing pastry chef creates not only magical baked goods using traditional wheat flours...but somehow she manages to include a few gluten free items every THURS - SAT! (Note: I do not know if these items are appropriate for those with celiac, but as someone who is severely gluten intolerant, I personally have never been bothered by anything I've eaten here). I've had their gf blueberry coffee cake....delicious! It has fresh lemon zest which really brightens the berry flavor. Their gf chocolate whoopie pies w vanilla cream filling is unbelievable! They are light and airy and just the right balance of sweetness vs deep choc flavor. Their gf choc & peanut butter cake is phenomenal! It is a best seller even among those who are not gluten intolerant! It's rich and fudgey with so many delectable layers. I try to stop in at least once a week to buy my hubby fresh baked bread and 'bread day' is now officially his favorite day. They also offer terrific discounts on their day old bread. Perfect to take home, slice up, and put it your freezer. Then, just take out a slice or two at a time for that soft fresh baked bread feel and taste. read more

Goodness gracious. I've dined in Paris, lived in NYC for 13 years and this place takes the cake. We ordered a lot bc after going to the Zoo we were starving. I got the steak sandwich with seasonal pasta, corn chowder & a cinnamon bun. My wife got Hummus w/ cucumbers and our little boy ordered French fries! Everything was spot on. There was a long lone but we didn't care. I sat with our child while my wife ordered and man did we get some delicious food. Everything was fabulous. I will be checking out their location in Greensboro but I doubt it's as good bc everything in Greensboro is mediocre. This place did not disappoint. If we go to the Zoo again we're coming back here.
