I ordered beef fajita quesadillas and this is the strangest looking beef I've ever seen. (It's chicken) It was an online order so I can't speak for the store itself, but the food is fine. It's just not the meat I wanted. I am happy to report that the chicken is nice and tender and moist and seasoned. And it being dry/tough is why I usually DONT order chicken. We were hoping this would be our new taco spot by home. What we got: I got 2 mango habenero fish tacos. Though the fish was cooked to perfection, there wasn't much flavor and I ended up having to season my tacos at home and my boyfriend got 2 custom breakfast tacos. He wasn't too big a fan of his tacos because the meat was dry and way underseasoned. The chips and salsa were just okay. Side of beans were overcooked and oddly mushy. The rice was the only thing we agreed was "good". Environment: I stayed in the car while my boyfriend went to pick up our order and he said I would've really liked the trippy Stranger Things lights and old school chair design they had going on inside. This place is bland and I had to add jalepenos to feel as though I was eating anything with flavor. The margarita was really tangy and unbalanced. I had only 2 sips and gave up on it. The brisket taco was strangely sweet. And not even bbq sauce sweet. Just a weird flavor. Breakfast burrito. i was craving one the night before i ended up here so i did dyor and determined this is a pretty good spot to try. They were close and they have a robust menu of breakfast options to choose from. I ended up getting the 5 alarm burrito, no beans and added brisket. The burrito was huge. I got two meals out of it, and that's sans the beans mind you! I enjoyed it tremendously, twice. I do wish it had more of a spicy kick to it given it was called 5 alarm burrito. I literally live next door to "Taco Joint" Taco Joint has been open for approximately 2-3 months and I was interested to see if they were good or not. The reviews online are mixed. I decided to give them a shot and I regret it. I ordered the 3 ground sirloin taco combo. The ground beef in the tacos was very dry and lacked flavor, the shredded cheese looked like it was literally from a bag of shredded cheese (appears to not be shredded fresh). The "crispy taco shells are baked to a weird "standable" taco form and they are super wide. Way more lettuce and chopped tomatoes added than ground beef. When you eat the crispy taco, it cracks down the middle because of how wide they bake form the crispy taco shells. This is not good. The taco immediately breaks apart. We ordered two ground sirloin taco combos and they were both made this way. The salsa they offer (red/roja) is watered down - very bland. The green/tomatillo salsa is also bland but a little spicy. I would say that Taco Bell has better tasting food and that says a lot. Torchys Tacos would probably be the best option if you want tacos via DoorDash. I will not be ordering from Taco Joint ever again. You are way better off making an Ortega Family Taco Dinner Kit at home or ordering from Torchy's Tacos instead. Also would say this place is overpriced for the substandard food they offer. read more

In the short amount of time that this establishment has been open, I've been continually been impressed how it's gotten better and better! My husband and I got food from here on opening day, and at first we thought it was going to be another local spot to circulate to when we wanted Tex-Amex. With each visit (been here roughly 4 times now) we have noticed the awesome service, cleanliness, and really great quality of food. It's a great addition the the Frisco Food scene. The queso is one of the better apps that I've tried in many Tex-Max spots, the breakfast tacos were some of the best I've had in the area. Service - especially ownership, also deserves a Grace A Status. It's a festive, friendly restaurant with a vast menu. Definitely worth the try if it's on your list! read more

Was good, now terrible. Ive had better taco bell. The burrito was awful. The flour tortilla was rubbery and impossible to cut with a plastic fork. The beef was tough and had no flavor. It was a Tuesday and I had no clue what to fix my little guy for breakfast. Suddenly the thought popped in my mind to serve him tacos for breakfast. I had errands to run that morning so I was in a bit of a rush and opted to find the closest taco joint ;) in the direction I was headed. Lucky for me Taco Joint was on the way and on the same side of Main Street I was traveling. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean the dining area looked. That a major plus in my book! I also liked the strings of lights across the ceiling, very pretty and very colorful! A staff member warmly greeted me when I entered. Since I was in a bit of a rush, I asked the clerk how long it would take to fill a small order and she assured me it would only take about 5 minutes or so. I proceeded to place my order of two sausage, egg and cheese tacos, one bean and pico taco, and one bacon, egg and cheese taco along with a bag of chips and a side of queso. As promised my order was quickly filled. To say this place hasn't been opened long, from order to execution everything was very easy and all went smoothly. Now on to the food, the bean and pico taco was loaded with beans, was flavorful and the tortilla was soft and fluffy. Both my boys enjoyed their tacos, no complaints! The chips were light and crispy and the queso was hot, creamy and seasoned to perfection. I decided to try this place because it says that they made their own hardshell tacos which it's very hard to find here in DFW area. I preferred shredded chicken, but they did tell me that they sliced the chicken fajita meat so I opted for that option . I was excited to try since they have homemade hardshell tacos, but unfortunately, it was just mediocre five bucks and some change for single taco which is fair however, that choices of salsa was least to be desired definitely not authentic. Same napkins as first visit totally inadequate for mess one gets from grilled shrimp taco. Which is my second complaint too messy compared to street taco with beef. Brand new place to my city of Frisco, I've anxiously waited for their grand opening, and so glad they are here. From the minute I walked in I was greeted warmly by two people behind the counter, who gave me some suggestions and took my order. I decided to eat in-house and not take it to go. The restaurant is clean, open and lit nicely. They even have a nice outside patio overlooking a fountain and water area which would be great for days like today which was beautiful weather. But let's get back to the food, I had the chicken flautas and they were delicious, three large sized and stuffed with delicious chicken. I decided to go all rice, no beans, and the Mexican rice or Spanish rice was tasty all by itself. Food was hot and sure tasted fresh. I also ordered a street taco which was two corn tortillas with steak, cilantro and onions super simple as a street taco should be. Their menu is expansive . I can't wait to come back and try other things. There's a bunch of places to eat Mexican food but I will tell you this place is a winner. I hope it's here to stay, great service great food, clean restaurant, which is super important to me. There's so many places to go to in Frisco that are filthy..... this place is NOT! Easy, simple Tex Mex! The Disaster is always a go-to...a mixture of all the good things - queso, seasoned ground beef, guacamole and pico de gallo.
