The Taco Spot is right by my neighborhood so I go there often. I'll be completely honest and say when it comes to tacos, theirs are fine but there are better in town. However, their birria is pretty solid and their loaded fries are fantastic. The other thing I love is their aquas frescas which are always on point. My order is either the birria quesadilla on corn or the asada loaded fries. All in all you can't go wrong with a meal at the Taco Spot if you're looking for a pretty solid casual Mexican food option that is great for takeout or dining in. read more

They are not quite complete with construction, but they've got enough done to be able to serve. Do you like Keto? If so, they have a bunch of Keto items. There are so many things I want to try in the future. I did get the Al Pastor burrito, and it came quite quickly and was very tasty. I highly recommend the red sauce it has quite a kick to it. The employees were nice but not very well informed, I asked two employees what they call their red sauce and nobody could answer, so I'll just call it 'house red sauce' I want to buy this stuff! I would say they need to work on cleaning tables, there were probably three occupied but almost every single table had residue from previous customers that were not wiped down other than that I will give this chain a chance again because there are a lot of items on the menu that I have to try. I've order from here a couple times , however the recent time it was through a 3rd party app Uber Eats . This app has a promotion on the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE taco. So I ordered 3 to get 3 free and only received 3. When I called they said they don't care and don't do uber eats . So I asked if they do the promotion and they said no. This came from the managers himself and his employee who answered the phone had a very rude attitude. I will not order from here again . This was some of the worst food I've ever ordered off DoorDash. First of all, there wasn't a big tray of nachos like they depict on the pictures, it was a small bowl of them way overpriced! I was super excited to try out Taco Spot after seeing pics of their food. I came in at around 5:45pm 1/18/2023) both the team members at the register quickly welcomed me in & asked if I had any questions with the menu (they were both super nice.) I decided on the Birria Ramen Combo with 2 Queso Birria Tacos. The total came out to $19.49 (give or take a couple cents, but still 19 Dollars & some change.) I got my order to go & they packaged it well so it wouldn't spill on the way home (thanks for that.) Once I got home & opened my meal I started stirring around my Birria Ramen (it's a decent sized Tapatio Flavored Cup of Noodles) but I immediately realized there was NO BIRRIA OR MEAT OF ANY KIND ANYWHERE INSIDE MY RAMEN.... LIKE NO BIRRIA, SO I ESSENTIALLY PAID LIKE $11 FOR A TAPATIO CUP OF NOODLES I COULD HAVE BOUGHT AT WALMART FOR $2 ‍ The 2 queso birria tacos I got in the NON-BIRRIA RAMEN Combo had good flavor with a mix of the Birria, cheese & chopped white onions. They were definitely on the smaller side but had good flavor. I was driving down Baseline Rd. minding my own business and...BAM! The Taco Spot is on my left! I did a quick double take and immediately abandoned my errands for the day, for a bite to eat. Yep. That's how easily I am persuaded by tacos, lol. Oh look...squirrel! Ordered the Birria ramen and taco combo by recommendation of the cashier, and it was hella gooooood. So much meat OMG! Our cashier was right, and all the fresh toppings really set it off. Fresh onions, cilantro, limes, cheese, Birria meat, and tapitio ramen is such a bomb combo... It was cold and rainy outside so this was a perfect choice for the day. This is my very first visit to The Taco Spot. I love the interior decor it's inviting. The tunes blaring on the surround sound makes me want to get the party started. Hugo provided excellent customer service explaining the menu items. I tried the barria tacos they're so yummy the beef is full of flavor. The rice and beans were average. I was starving after running errands all day! It was 5pm by now! I took my 1st bite, and UGH! Horrible! I took a 2nd bite! Even worse! The beef was all gristle! The shrimp was like rubber! Sure it was full of flavor due to spices! But it was THE worst burritto ever! And it was way smaller that a comp from Filibertos and way more expensive! $14 for something that blows chunks! Understaffed. One underage girl was running the front of house. So she said she had to wait for someone to come make a margarita. But nobody ever came out to help her the whole half hour I was here. The food is good no lie about that what I can't accept is having the food I ordered for pick up in front of the counter with no one at the register to where anyone could've taken my order. On top of that my order was a little bit cold and was told that that's where they put pick up orders. Spacious area. My friend and I went off of the cashiers recommendations and we're glad we did. I had the Birria Torta and my friend had the Birria Burrito, they were both really good!! & sauces paired well with it too. It's a hit or miss. Sometimes they have great food and sometimes the food isn't so great. It's not gross if anything it's just seems bland. Most times it's good though. They don't always add enough salsa and they only messed up my order once. Their churros aren't very good though but I only go for the tacos. Sadly, because it was so pricey, I wasn't able to order a variety of items to get a true sense of their food for my wife and I. I ordered 2 chicken street tacos and 2 beef for her. They were good tasting, but very small, smaller than regular street tacos. And they were wet from the juices. Also, I got an order of Nachos with steak as the meat. The very nice young lady asked if I wanted Jalapenos, onions added to the nachos. I said sure. Oh, and I asked for sour cream and guacamole too. The nachos were served in a small aluminum deep dish plate. Unfortunately, the added items were overloaded into the nachos to the point that the jalapenos and juices overwhelmed the flavor. But without question what truly ruined it all was that they used a cheese whez like cheese on it rather than cheddar cheese!?! Who would ever put fake, I mean, American cheese on their food and charge almost $ 30,00 bucks for it? Where to start. It took one hour to get 5 items. We requested no onions on anything and it's even on the receipt and got home and there was onions on everything. Asked for chicken and they had no chicken in the place. Ordered the ramen and it literally came in an open ramen container. If you like ramen cup noodle, you can get it from Walmart across the street, just add hot water than saved you $20 bucks. This is more of a heads up/warning. Their online prices are increased. I paid $18 for a quesadilla and when I got to the restaurant the price was just under $13.
