The Terminal is a good little no frills spot for breakfast and lunch. We went for breakfast and thankfully there was no wait, but shortly after we arrived it became packed. For $6.95 I ordered a special which included two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, a piece of sausage, and eggs. Oh and coffee. And the highlight of the breakfast-they leave a coffee pitcher on the table! We left very full and very well caffeinated. My cheesy eggs were cooked perfectly, as was everything else I ordered. My friend ordered French toast which looked to be the thinnest French toast ever and he confirmed it wasn't anything to write home about. Not the challah French toast from the hipster breakfast spots I'm accustomed to. That being said I really enjoyed the Terminal and would recommend it to anyone for a cheap, good breakfast. read more

Good prices and fast service. Service: Pot of coffee left on your table, so self service on refills; which is actually the best way to do it. Maybe a visit or two more to check on us would have good. Food: Prices are fair and many combos have coffee included. I ordered the omelet and it showed up with spinach; which is not one of the ingredients on the menu. If I had known it came with spinach, would have asked for it to be excluded. So menu needs to be corrected or when cooked not included. PLEASE do not add extra items not listed on the menu to orders. I plucked them off the best I could, but had no time for a re-order. Maybe will come back, but overall not very impressed. read more

First time diner! Had creamed chip beef with hash brown with onions. Are usually do not get cream chipped beef at all but the reviews are very good so I decided to try it and it was excellent and light and fluffy. I did not expect that! I visited the Terminal after their remodel completed - we were just there this past weekend! The inside definitely looks much nicer and cleaner, but the one thing that remained solidly good was the food. My husband had the blueberry pancakes, and I had eggs with turkey bacon. Definitely a very good place! The prices are affordable, and the servers are very friendly. Only drawback is that it's cash only, and the inside is quite small. But if you come prepared for a wait, the food is definitely worth it! read more

The Terminal Restaurant sits at the crossroads of Moreland and Davisville Roads in Willow Grove, Pa. While the name originally referred to the railroad station that was once close by, that stop has moved into history, and the sense of the house now is that it is more the terminus of two old generational trails. Although renovated, it has the feel of an older way station that still carries its legacy and kitchen skills very well. The customer base is interestingly diverse, but the common thread seems to be old time locals who know where to find good, cheap vittles, and who are loyal to their institutions. Can't blame them. There is something deep and authentic about this place; its cramped booths and tables, its classic servers, and its faithfulness to real American grub. No brunch served here. No mimosas. Just straight ahead, no apologies, grill'em-ups. The coffee flowed strong and free. Not the best, but we were not here for La Colombe. All we wanted was caffeinated washdown, and got it. The Country Omelet was a 2 egger loaded with taters and 'yons, with grilled sausage added for taste and texture. Delicious, with a side of toasted rye. The home fries had crisp edges, but could have used more flavor. So be it. There was also the option for grits. Maybe next time. Really liked The Terminal Resto. Next time I feel like taking a drive in the country and into the past, I might find myself terminating the excursion right here. read more

This place has all sorts of foods. From great sandwiches to delicious crepes. Im not sure where to begin but this has been my third or fourth year coming here.. And im not sure why it took me so long to know that this was on Philly. I love all the foods I have tasted. I also love walking around and trying other foods that I would not normally try. Service is awesome and fast and the food quality is also really good and not effects by the fast service. During lunch hours it can get a little crowded but that's the fun of it. Also the reason I gave it 4 stars is because the seating situation isnt that good, sometimes you might have to stand or just wait for a seat. The tables are also very close but its the experience of a life time and great to see how busy it can get. I love coming here and always take people out of state here. read more

I have been to The Terminal Restaurant numerous times but this is my first review. The Terminal is an old school diner serving all your breakfast and lunch favorites. The restaurant is not that large so you may have a little wait on busier days. I was starving after working third shift so I got there early Friday morning at 6. Two regulars were enjoying breakfast when I walked in. I sat at the counter and ordered grits, eggs, toast, and sausage. I also had a small grapefruit juice and coffee. I was almost done my coffee when my food arrived. Everything was delicious. The grits were nice and creamy, my over easy eggs were still a little runny and the sausage tasted super fresh. I enjoyed my meal while watching the news on the flat screen. The meal came to $7.45. Not to many places you can eat good for that amount. My go to neighborhood breakfast spot! read more

Tried this place for the first time, and it was pretty good! The staff was friendly and service was fast. I got the 8 oz steak with eggs and home fries plus a side of bacon. The steak was ok, eggs weren't bad, the home fries were ok, and the bacon was alright as well. I wouldn't say this place was mind blowing good but it gets the job done. I guess I gave it the four stars because of the friendly staff and fast service. My husband had the omelet though and he said it was pretty good. I can say I've had better breakfast at other places but this place wasn't too bad. Also, be prepared to have cash on you too. I don't think I saw a sign anywhere outside or inside that said that, so luckily we did have cash on us when I tried to use my credit card. read more

When I went to use the Ladies Room at the Terminal Restaurant after eating, the upper part of the toilet bowl in the Ladies Room was filled with feces. I told the waitress and she said, "I'll let them know." Then I left and tried to exit with my car on the exit/entrance to Davisville Rd. The exit/entrance was blocked by a large black pickup truck. I went back inside and told the waitress, and she said, "He has a right to park there." In the meantime, I thought I had lost my car keys. I went back to the Ladies Room and the toilet bowl had not been cleaned. Unacceptable. read more

Was excited to try this place out because of all the good reviews it had and who doesn't love an old school diner? This however isn't old school, it's just old. The place doesn't give nostalgia- just looks like nobody gave it a thought to decor since the day it opened. The booths and counter are cool but the wall decor is probably the same as when it opened. The place is cash only but they have an ATM that charges a fee. The booths have to be original and have little to no padding so you sink right in, also are ugly and worn. Ordered chocolate milks and an orange juice and drinks all came out warm. Empty coffee cup on the end of the table is apparently not a sign of needing a refill where normal places actually come around and touch tables or atleast someone walks around with coffee checking. The food was good but for 2 egg and meat platters and a short stack with warm drinks at 36.36, certainly could have had better service, cold drinks, at a place that has an old feel not just old and doesn't tack on an ATM fee. read more

At the end I did enjoy the food and the service. I would bring my friends and family here! A few things I wish they could consider is having a sign at the front saying, "first come first seating" or a related iteration, because when my friend and I walked in we were standing by the door as the restaurant was pretty packed. No hostess and none of the servers noticed us and we thought that was weird but then a few minutes we then assumed "oh, it's probably a first come first seated" type of place. The remodeled Terminal Restaurant has been cleaned up! The greasy menus and tables have been banished. Unfortunately the two horseshoe-shaped counters (so delightfully retro) also have departed.. What stayed are the warm and efficient waitresses who call patrons "hon" and the decent cheap eats. The Terminal appears to be quite the hangout for locals, and one cannot help but smile at the beautiful diversity of the patrons, spanning all socio-economic strata. Left to my own devices, I would award three stars but Mr. M would give it five. Compromising at 4. The breakfast fare (all we have had there) is solid. The menu is bereft of the clever or cutesy: If well-made omelet and eggs over easy are your thing, then the Terminal is your kind of place. This is a go-to breakfast stop on the weekends for me and my fiancée. It is rather small inside but each time we have gone we have always managed to get an open table. I recommend getting there before 10am on weekends if you don't want to wait. The French toast is my favorite, and my fiancée loves the omelettes they make. I don't live in Willow Grove, but we had some out of town friends visiting their family and Willow Grove was about equidistant to both of us. So I poked around Yelp for a decent place for brunch and was lucky to happen upon the Terminal Restaurant. The food is inexpensive and cooked right, the service is fast and friendly. Nothing fancy. The coffee was fine, which is better than you can usually say at diners. A lot of places don't change out the pot of coffee often, or don't clean their machines thoroughly. And the waitress left a carafe at the table, which I like! I had a really tasty omelet. Brunch for four came to about $35 after tax, more than reasonable. read more
