Review for their breakfast buffet only: super worth it! $39 for breakfast buffet at the terrace restaurant inside the langham hotel. We went in December 2025 and their menu include a healthy offering of options including breakfast sandwiches, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oats, made to order omelettes, yogurt, salad, waffles, and a cheese & fruit charcuterie board. Includes juice or la colombe coffee. If you want speciality drinks or coffee, that can be purchased in addition. For the price, very worth it!

Service 5/5 as far as the staff from the hostess to our servers. Food 4.5/5! So close to a 5/5! Ambiance 5/5. Length of time for food 2/5. Price for value of service and food 4/5 Overall rating 4/5! If you plan to come here, on a relaxing day and not in any type of rush, have great convos, it's aright! If you are very hungry, prepare to wait, order bread and appetizers! Also their menu. I went on open table. So hopeful to get the crab cakes, disappointed when the actually menu no longer has it. Boo I had the Chilean Sea bass 4.5/5, they gave you a pot of tableside serve of dashi broth, pieces of lobster and crunchy veggies under the filet do fish. It was great. Flavors good, the veggies gave me the crunch texture. The lobster was full flavor and the dashi balanced it out, little smoky but such a good balance. My wife loved her tender filet mignon, I ate her broccoli too. She said her meat didn't even have to have the sauce. It was good on its own. Kids loved their chicken tenders and fries. My son ate his entire plate. They said 5/5 3 decent size pieces of tender on top of a plate of crunchy fried fries and both kids approved. We also ordered the French onion soup, 4.5/5 so much cheese that stretched! Plenty of onions and a layer of bread. Bottom layer of soup , very legit, was not over salted. It was good and the cheese charcuterie board. 4/5, OMG I loved the honey on its comb, so good. I would come back, this place is grand, lots of land, lovely scenery, just very huge place. Probably fancy weddings, lovely spa packages and romantic weekends. Everyone was really friendly from the lobby to the valet service. Take a walk all around the property! There's a lot of history in this building.

Food- had breakfast at the place several times while staying there. The drip coffee was sometimes served hot or warm at best. Eggs weren't always cooked consistently as ordered. Potatoes were delicious. Salmon was fresh but bagel was lacking. The avocado toast had a "different" taste combination that made it bitter tasting. French toast was bland and hard. Oatmeal was good. Eggs Benedict was balanced and tasty. Pancakes were flat with no flavor. Bacon was nice and crispy. If you order sourdough bread, they will bring you white bread. It happened every time. Service- with the exception of two servers, the rest were NOT attentive. Slow and never came back to offer refills of the water or coffee. Ambiance- beautiful poolside restaurant Overall, the food and service were alright and did not meet the expectations of a luxury resort. If you are staying there, it might be worth having food there if you're planning a pool day.

The ambiance and service is great. Max was very patient and helpful. The food is not bad but not great.

I'm not sure why this place has such low ratings. I was staying at the hotel, so breakfast was included. It was a Sunday, and on weekends, breakfast turns into brunch, served until 1 PM. You can choose between a buffet or à la carte options. They offer a great variety, including a live egg station where you can have eggs prepared to your liking. I chose the Eggs Benedict with spinach and mushrooms, and it was delicious! Soft drinks like coffee, tea, and juice are included with the brunch buffet, but anything else, such as cappuccinos, lattes, or alcohol, comes at an extra cost. The service was friendly, and I loved the ambiance. Since it was around Christmas time, the entire atmosphere was festive and lovely. The place was busy with people celebrating, including ladies' gatherings, birthdays, and gift exchanges.

We came in for breakfast at this pool side restaurant at the langham Pasadena. Place was so packed with tourists for a Saturday morning. They started to serve lunch at 11am but guests still had breakfast / brunch buffet option. We chose the latter cause the lunch menu was so limited. The brunch buffet choices were not bad. Omelette and eggs benedict station was nice. Good amount of breakfast bakeries but no gluten free options at all. Salad and fruit station was my favorite. The food selections were decent but the flavors were lacking. I had to put salsa sauce on the flavorless foods to make them taste better. But we really wasn't expecting much for only $39 pp including soft drinks. It was a very relaxing breakfast / brunch and the service was great. Definitely up to a luxury hotel standards. I would say it's a nice place for brunch nonetheless! Ps. Valet $15 with validation

We enjoyed high tea here on a Saturday afternoon and it was really lovely from start to finish. They offered vegan, gluten-free, and regular options, and everything we tried was delicious. The tea selection was great and the atmosphere was elegant, beautiful, and perfect for a special afternoon. The service was attentive and very friendly, making the whole experience even better. It is definitely a bit of a splurge, but worth it if you are looking for a memorable high tea experience in Pasadena. The Langham Hotel itself is stunning, with historic grounds, a beautiful outdoor courtyard and pool, and even a speakeasy-style bar right next to the Terrace restaurant where high tea is served. Would highly recommend all around.

Sunday night the hostess was 10/10 . Service 10/10 everyone so nice . The short rib plate was everything I was hoping for . I was stunned by the graciousness by the staff . They really know how to give you that classy feeling.. like you're their special guest . Everyone working Sunday night was very attentive . the manor in which I was served made me blush quite a few times . They really are with that 5 star service . From the hostess to each of the servers they make you feel special like royalty . here I love this hotel so much , it's my happy place . 11/10 will be back .

The Terrace Restaurant at the Langham Hotel is our brunch favorite. The $39 buffet had great variety--loved the omelets, berry station, and awesome pastries. The terrace view was stunning, service was solid, and parking was $17 with validation. Highly recommended.

I've had Cannonball on my list for a while, so once we put the baby to bed, I was ready for a martini and a night out. We were seated right away, and the host was really nice. We started with drinks -- I went with their house martini, which was exactly what I was in the mood for. Our server gave us a little insider tip and told us that if we wanted the biscuits, we should order them right away because they take a little time. Girl... those biscuits were SO good. I could have easily ordered another round. Warm, delicious, and absolutely worth the wait. We had the shaved celery salad with them, and I have to say, I'm not usually a big celery fan because I feel like it doesn't taste like much. But this salad completely changed my mind. It was light and refreshing with walnuts, dates, and a really beautiful dressing. Such a good combination of flavors and textures. The grilled shrimp with aioli were another standout. Those were ridiculous -- so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also had the burger and hanger steak, although unfortunately I didn't get pictures of either. But the potatoes that came with the hanger steak deserve a special mention because they were INSANE. Everything was cooked beautifully. Our server was great throughout the meal, and overall it was just such a fun, relaxed date-night experience. I'd definitely come back, maybe for a girls' night next time. Our server was super friendly and attentive the whole night, gave us great advice on how much food to order, and checked in just enough. We had a couple of solid cocktails and kicked things off with the shaved celery salad and yellowfin tuna tartare. Both of those appetizers were 10/10. The mains (the trout and the chicken) were a little bit of a letdown by comparison, just feeling kind of average, but they were still fine. Just nothing to rave about. The spot has a really nice old-school vibe that felt right for a birthday dinner. Parking is a bit of a headache around there, but keep in mind there's a public parking garage right around the corner that's free on weekends and after noon on weekdays.

Food here is very safe, trite, hackneyed California cuisine beaten to death like a worn out horse. It's not really bad and not very good offending no one, but food that is boring and not particularly drop dead flavourful. I wasn't super hungry and decided to order more of the sides. 1) French Fries with some skin on, looking rustic, had a touch of that ineffable earthy potato flavour. Asked for extra crispy, but just got a bit crispy so their default fries must be rather limp. Standard ketchup in a steel ramekin. 2) Roasted Golden Beet & Arrugula Salad had sweet, softer, smooth texture, Arrugula had a fibrous, good green herbal, peanut oil scented flavour. Not too funky, creamy goat cheese. Roasted walnut halves. All napped with a subtle Champagne Vinaigrette. Portion was about half of what would be expected in other comparable restaurants. 3) Bread Pudding: The bread was spongy, moist, eggy almost like a flan but lacked a deeper dairy, milkiness as well as lack of hints of warm spices such as cinnamon, allspice, ginger, cloves. Bland would describe the general overall flavour. Topped with cream rich ice cream. Scattering of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry. At home, I drizzled on Grand Marnier for more citrus cognac aromatics. 1-3a) Iced Tea The food here seems to be the Midwest version of what California cuisine should be. Middle of the road, steady as she goes, don't rock the boat. Our waitress was efficient, helpful, thoughtful in a business-like manner which facilitated our group of 8. The male helper with a moustache and the inked hand was great at keeping our glasses topped off. 3 stars for a safe, not overly effusive food that does not offend. The outdoor optics holds the charm and strength of this restaurant.

First time trying Yang's Kitchen for brunch and the standout was definitely the cold sesame…read morenoodles. We added avocado, which gave it a nice richness against the creamy, nutty noodles. We also got the Japanese Breakfast with sausage patty, boiled egg, pickles, Japanese sweet potato, and multigrain rice. Simple, filling, and really well put together. I also appreciate that they list out the vendors they source from. It gives the whole place a thoughtful, farm to table type of feel.

The waitress politely told us that they would only seat us once the whole party was present, which was reasonable. When the whole party arrived, they seated us within 10 minutes. Ambiance: 4 out of 5 stars. The ambiance of the place was modern and casual. Food: 4 out of 5 stars. The restaurant focuses on farm-to-table and local sourcing. We ordered all three shareables and a few other dishes: Cold Sesame Noodle: 3 out of 5 stars. Even though it seems to be highly rated, I didn't really taste anything special. Roasted Squash and Kale Salad: 3 out of 5 stars. The taste is decent. I wish we had more squash. Not that tasty. It is difficult with all that kale. Mochi Pancake: 5 out of 5. We all loved the pancake, the jam, and the cream. Fried Chicken Wings: 5 out of 5. It is marinated, flavorful, and not greasy. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Breakfast Plate with Hanger Steak: 5 out of 5. The steak is perfectly cooked. The egg was soft and fluffy. Value: 4 out of 5 stars. For $28, I wish we got a larger portion of hanger steak. Other than that, good value. Service: 5 out of 5.

Can't speak to the food, but the couple of plates we saw come out certainly looked tasty. Our server wasn't the most personable, but that was okay with us. We were there for each other's company, not hers.

Magnolia House was the place to go 10-12 years ago. But the last 3 times I've been here recently,…read moreit just really doesn't have the charm or class it used to have. Service is really really slow. You may see 5 or 6 waiters on staff...but they aren't stopping at tables to check up on guests. Alot of them are just hanging around the bar or front desk chitchatting with friends. The food quality dropped tremendously. It tastes like bland bar food now. $19 for 2 meatballs laying in tomato paste....and they were not even room temperature. Felt like they had these already prepared and sitting somewhere, just waiting for the next guest to order them. Got a mojito that may have been mistaken for a "virgin" drink....cause no one at our table could taste any alcohol in it. They all said it was watered down mint with ice. I wish this place would go back 10 years and make it like "the spot you want to go to"....versus the spot you now avoid.
