Not many hotel properties would I choose to eat at again. Let alone pay to eat at. The Corner Craft is an exception. The french grain mustard and pickled trio (fixings) that come with the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel was spot on. If I can suggest offering cream cheese instead of the loose/watery cheese dip or anything else, this would be perfect in my option. The cheese was barely coating the pretzel when we dipped it. The Corner Craft Stinger Flat Bread is a mouthful; not only its name. It's a pepperoni pizza served on a flat bread and we think the "stinger" was the hot honey but nothing about this stung us. Don't get me wrong. Adding a drizzle of honey on anything savory is uplifting but we didn't get any sense of hot from it. All in all, we were surprised how filling this was for two. Next time, I'm ordering both of these for myself. A star deduction because the bartender with the fancy bottle opener ended up being the better server than the inattentive older server, who was more focused on the soccer games than the occupied tables. read more

This place is located in the Hilton. The staff are nice. I ended up moving tables halfway through eating because there was a paint night and they needed the table. There was plenty of seating so I didn't mind. Parmesan truffle fires - simple, crispy, flavored. I liked this and would get again Chicken carbonara - the pasta was a little soft, overcooked. This is the restaurant and bar in the lobby of the Hilton Pasadena. I only experienced one meal here during my three night stay, but that one meal was very good. Pricey, but good. There was a pasta dish on the menu that I was dying to try. But lo and behold they rolled out a new menu the exact day I was having dinner. Luckily the new pasta dish sounded good so I ordered it. Chicken Carbonara. Minus the 'shrooms. Angel hair pasta with chicken, chorizo, peas, in a garlic parmesan cream sauce. $35, but perfectly cooked. Hotel restaurants can always be a tossup. I found the Corner Craft Kitchen + Bar to be pretty good. Staying at the hotel for a couple of nights I didn't feel like ordering out or walking to a local establishments so I went with the hotel restaurant. It was a gamble, but it paid off well. I ordered the Ahi tuna poke. For $19 you get a decent amount of Ahi tuna and chips. The Ahi was quite good, with a good, smooth non-fishy taste. The chips were crisp, fresh, and lightly salted. The bartender/server was gracious. To finish off the dinner. I ordered the town old fashion. It's base is a Mexican bourbon. During Covid this restaurant was one of the few that kept the kitchen open and the stove on which was very helpful and appreciative. $20 omelette that tasted kind'a dry. Don't think I've ever had to pay an $80 breakfast tab before. These prices were horrendous for lame food. We should've walked down the street. The service was ok, waitress was nice. I don't wanna be too hard on restaurants with this inflation, but the taste should make up for cost. If not for them bringing out Cholula, I think I would've been upset. The potatoes? May as will call them fries. These had to be prepackaged & deep-fried, just no effort. Again, service is fine. We had breakfast at The Corner during our short 2-day stay at Hilton Pasadena. The restaurant is inside the hotel, so it is very convenient start the day having the first day meal there. The menu is simple but with good options. There are good quantity of tables. We were seated as soon we arrived on both days we came there the only downside is you took sometime to be attended, they are clearly understaffed. The servers are very friendly but they are overwhelmed. The kitchen seems to be far from the tables area, so the servers spend long time coming and going to the kitchen. i wasn't very hungry so i didn't walk to walk downtown for food so i settled on the hotel restaurant. the waiter was very friendly, refilled my water many times, and seemed very on top of things. i settled on this mushroom flatbread (i forget the exact name). it looked good enough when it came out but it was pretty bland and tasted like canned mushrooms. i believe this was $16 and for the amount that seems fitting but for the flavor it was not worth it. would be much easier and higher quality food if i had just walked downtown. the restaurant was nice though with lots of sun and kind service, but for the food i wouldn't go back. many other hilton hotels have much better food. read more

The staff responsiveness and service varies. Our server this morning was great and explained our options clearly. He was also fast. Thebreakfast buffet is fine, but ordering from the menu for breakfast is a mistake. Five bucks for some tea? My daughter and I ordered the cereal yesterday, which was supposed to come with fresh cut strawberries and banana, for several bucks less than the cold buffet. 15 minutes later, we were given cereal already poured in a bowl with milk, with a couple of pieces of strawberries floating in it. They could have handed me the ingredients straight off the buffet behind my table in 1 minute and I would have been happier (and maybe I might have even received the bananas I was promised). Also, she could have had the kids buffet for less cost! Stick to the buffet. read more

This is the restaurant on the lobby level of the Pasadena Hilton. I was here looking for some food in the vicinity and the options were somewhat limited so I decided to stop by here. A lot of the appetizers sounded good like the lamb ribs, the wings, and the ahi tuna. I wouldn't have been convenient to eat things too messy so I ultimately went with the kale salad and added chicken to it. The flavors were really good and there were a lot of components to it but the portion was tiny and it was kind of pricey for what it was. It was close to $20 and it wasn't very big. I came down at 6 am to have a few beers. I would have come later but they close at 11am. The rude a-hole manager would only serve me 3 beers before she kicked me out for ordering beers 'too early in the morning'. By the way, the food is terrible. The eggs were over cooked. Granted it's a Monday night, and this is a hotel eaterie, but the skirt steak portion for $26 is minuscule, way too salty, and tough. Frites were ok. Server was very nice. To their credit, when I responded to the "how is everything", I was offered a complementary desert (sorry, didn't try it... diet doesn't permit...) Also ambient temp is about 68 - too cold. And music decibels too high to think or talk... Other than that 4 screens on different channels if you like lots of unrelated audio and sound stimulation. Who designs these places?! read more

Based on recent reviews, I decided to try the club sandwich with fries. Definitively lived up to expectations and price was reasonable for a hotel restaurant. I could have walked to nearby restaurants but the restaurant was clean and convenient. There's a bar with plenty of seats and servers were friendly. Came for lunch we were told they were expecting a large group when seating us. We placed out order. About 10 minutes later the large group came in. They were served then our food arrived. I had the club and my wife had the Q burger. Food was good but the entire staff seemed to forget about us as they only concentrated on the large group. We were unable to get desert as my wife only had an hour lunch break and She had to leave. I had to stay to wait for the check and my to go order of fries which to another 10 minutes to arrive. Shame, wasn't even asked by (by whom I assumed was the manager) how the meal was. Just a quick thank you as she brought back my credit card and bill. Phenomenal services and solid food for a hotel restaurant. I had the thai wrap with chicken for lunch with fries. The thai wrap was great, very flavorful, and their fries are pretty damn good ( I consider myself to be a french fry connoisseur). For breakfast, their breakfast buffet is of the chain! Anything you could ever want for breakfast, they've got. Oh, and if there is by chance something you want that you don't see out there, the staff will go out of their way to try to accommodate your requests best they can. Was at hotel for an event and didn't have time to go elsewhere. Pleasantly surprised!! My burger was delicious! Cooked perfectly (no one can seem to do medium rare anymore, but they did!) on a brioche bun. Yum ! My dinner mates had the club sandwich (large and good!) and the kale salad. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, but this was the first time I tried the dining. We arrived for breakfast around 10:30 and were told we could choose the buffet or order off the menu. We decided to go with the buffet. When I got in line, I was patient as another lady cut in front of everyone and watched as she took the rest of the bacon (there were at least 20 pieces left and she took them all) and the remainder of the pancakes. I figured they would be refilled so I did not make a big deal about it. As time went on, I asked the waiter if they were going to refill any of the items at the buffet as most of it was gone by the time I got up there. I was told they would not be refilling as the buffet closes at 11. If I would have known this, I would have just ordered off the menu. The server and manager did end up taking care of it, and made the unfortunate situation better for us. They completely turned our negative experience into a positive one, and we were very appreciative of their efforts and customer service. Needless to say, we will definitely dine here again. The customer service was prompt with fixing the issue and making sure we were happy. Now that I am aware that they will not refill the buffet items, I will make sure to be more aggressive next time though.. lol. read more

The food was gross! $20 breakfast buffet with something that was supposed to be eggs, cold potatoes that looked like they were made days ago and re-heated, hard fruit, and stale bread and pastries. The only thing good was the hot chocolate, and when I went to the buffet to try a pastry the waiter cupped his hand over my cup and I didn't want to finish it after that.
